Snuggles

So I think Riley picked a good name for his dog. Reed, Riley, and I are playing monopoly and of course Snuggles wants to be in the middle of the action. Even if she sleeps through it.

Rachel-ism

Rachel and Riley were wrestling on the floor.
Riley: I can't breathe. I can't breathe.
Rachel: you can't breathe? What kind of cop out is that?

A nice note

A patient of Reed's wrote home the sweetest note the other day which I wanted to share. It's written in old lady handwriting so it can be hard to read but I'll type out what it said.
Dear Reed,
Thank you for being my knight in shining armor the past few days. In all my hospitalizations, I don't think I've been treated with such tenderness and kindness. You got me through a tough night but it didn't stop there. You have done everything with my best interest in mind.
The hospital is lucky to have you employed here. You help give them a good name. Tell you sweet wife and child you are truly an angel when you are at work.
I pray you succeed in your profession and I will never forget how good you were to me.
My love and best wishes,

CHRISTMAS ACTIVITIES

On Saturday, Heather Riley and Grandpa had a day of fun planned while grandma and the rest of the clan had to work work work. First we went to Home Depot where Riley made an awsome "Snow Man Napkin Holder". Next we headed to the Homestead in Midway to the Creche exhibit and to hear Rilla Tischner and her sisters sing then we had lunch at KFC. After lunch we went to the "Festival of the Trees" in Sandy. What a day. Needless to say Riley fell asleep in the car on the way home.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CASEY

Next Saturday is Casey's Birthday but because of work schedules and also because Casey and Andrea had the boys this weekend we decided to celebrate it a week early. We started out the celebration with some bowling and then some minature golf. After that we went back to Andrea and Casey's place for some Pizza, home made root beer and cake and ice cream. We finished off the evening with some wild games of Bejeweled on the wii. Great weekend. Happy 31st Birthday Casey!

Today

Who Ya Gonna Call?

This fantastic car was parked on the street today when I went to get Riley from school. I could not resist taking a picture, or two, or three, and also driving Riley past again after I picked him up. Riley has LOVED ghostbusters for a long long time. He, of course, was so excited to see it. He said "Wouldn't it be great if that car lived in our neighborhood and the owners didn't want it anymore and they gave it to us and it was a toy car so I could drive it?"

MOAB

Rachel had her annual fund raiser for "Cancer" this week. They did a 100 mile bike ride in Moab so we drove down to spend some time with her and to cheer her on to Victory. Here are a few picture from the weekend. Friday we met up with Rachel and did some hiking at arches. We got caught in a rain & wind storm at delicate arch and ended up looking like a bunch of wet rats. Saturday was the ride. They went from Moab up to Dead Horse Point and back and then along the river for 20 miles out and 20 miles back. Saturday night we had dinner and strolled around Moab. Sunday we all headed home. Rachel went to Grand Junction and caught a flight back to DC and we headed up the road to Santaquin.
