MEMORIAL DAY 2009

Another Memorial day has arrived and so the Peterson family make their annual trek up the street to the fire house for the "Annual Firemens Memorial Day Breakfast". It's a fun family tradition and it goes for a good cause. We love to support our great Volunteer Fire Department.

After a good breakfast of sausage, eggs, hash browns, pancakes and chocolate milk we get to Riley favorite part.....................The "FIRE TRUCKS"!

After a good breakfast we went back to the house. Uncle Casey & Andrea went home so Uncle Casey could go to bed since he worked last night, Reed had to go to work at the hospital and Momma Lynn, Grandpa Brad, Heather & Riley went to the movie, "Night at the Museum". Afterward everyone gathered in the back yard for a barbeque and lots of good food.

The future of technology?

So, Momma Lynn and Grandpa Brad are out of town today. Riley has been
bugging me with wanting to know where they are and when they will be
home. He asked if he could use my phone to find out. I assumed he
would call or text them. Instead I find him typing "wer is Lynn" into
google maps. I took a screen shot of it because I thought it was so
cute. As I explained to him that my phone can't tell him where momma
Lynn was, Reed muttered under his breath, "Your phone can't do
that...yet." gotta love my boys and technology.

MOTHER'S DAY 2009

Mother's Day has arrived and with it comes the first official backyard B-B-Q of the summer. We invited Dave & Marilyn up to share with us in the warmth of the sun and the love of a family.

Here we have a couple of examples of the great Mother's Day gifts that were given. Heather made mom this cool vase to hold her garden flowers and Andrea gave her a great purse and Rachel sent her a blanket with our Disneyland Pictures on it. Fun Stuff!

Here is Riley's great Mother's day planter that he made at Home Depot with Momma Lynn. Now you can understand why he was so proud of his work that he had to wear his orange apron for 3 days straight. The lovely flower that he planted for her looks like it has seen better days though.
Fresh Cut Lilacs are the best part of spring and Mother's Day.
And what Mother's Day would be complete with out SUMO WRESTLING.

My Bathroom... an almost complete work in progress

So, if any of you didn't know, our hall bathroom tub developed a crack in it, oh before Christmas. I told Reed that I wanted to have it ripped out and have Casey build us a shower for my Christmas present. It has been a little delayed but it is finally almost complete. (The shower is all finished and installed, I just have to touch up some paint on the wall and put the trim and towel bars back up, etc.) But I thought I would put up some of the pictures I took so you could all see what it looks like. Enjoy!
I need to take some more pictures of it, now that it has been grouted and with the shower hardware added but I will wait until I get the bathroom totally put back together so I can post finished pictures. But I will say that I am loving my new bathroom and Casey is the man for doing such a superb job!
