Philippino Wedding

In Jan. I went to a Philippino Wedding. Thinking it was going to be a huge cultural difference from an American Wedding. Suprise Suprise it was just the same as any other Catholic Wedding there were just a bunch of Philippinos in the church.
This is Tia, Jesus' niece. She was obviously the flower girl and one of the reasons we went to New Jersey for the wedding. This is Bebina, the bride and Jesus' aunt.
Jesus' Dad Jesus and I.

Me and Jesus' Mom, Evangelina
And Me and Jesus after dancing at the reception.

Nutcraker Ballet

Here we are at the Nutcracker Ballet in D.C. This was Cassie's first Ballet and she's not a fan. Best Quote of the night....Cassie says "They don't talk it's just dancing". First pic is Scott and the conductor pointing at the nutcracker.
Next is Cassie and her friend Kerry. Isn't the theatre beautiful. Finally it's me and the boys.

Sports action on the east coast

Since my surgery I've done a few things so I thought I'd update you all.
Here goes.

First this is me and Joe, we went to a hockey game with his friend Bob. Here are the 3 of us. The half time show was a bunch of little kids trying to play hockey. It was so cute.

Next I went to a Hockey game with Shane. We sat 3 rows behind the glass. It was very cool to be that close to the players.

Finally! The Green Bay Packer's Football game.

first picture is Me, Cassie and her Dad in Milwaukee, WI. Next is Cassie, Gerry and her Dad dressed up for the Packer Playoff game. And what a game on a snowy field no less. And lastly is Me and Gerry at the game.

Riley-ism

Conversation documented during an intense round of Go-Fish:

Riley to Grandpa: Do you have any Zebras?

Grandpa to Riley: No. Go fish.

Riley to Momma Lynn: Grandpa has goldfish!

Mom's Hand

I went with Mom on Wednesday morning to get her stitches removed. Here are some pictures of her hand. Even though she threatened me with death to not put these pictures on the blog, Dad said he has my back. This picture is a contrast between her hand which had been wrapped up for a week and not used and the normal one. Mom said that the injured one looked like it was dead, it was so shriveled and old looking.

Some Funny Pictures

I realized I had a TON of pictures on my camera that I have been needing to put some on the blog. So there will be several pictures now clumped into one post. The first two are some pretty hilarious pictures of a house down the street from me. If you look closely you can see that the snow ramp they built, I'm assuming so they can snowboard off the roof, has been piled over the back of their car. And I thought Mom and Dad got mad when we jumped out of kitchen window onto the tramp. Can you imagine what their parents are going to say when they see this?

The next picture I just thought was pretty adorable. Riley is asleep, with his seatbelt on, mind you but I guess he just couldn't get comfortable unless he threw his legs over the side of his carseat.

Here is another one with Riley in the car. We had a white elephant gift exchange for my work Christmas party. I got a golden plunger for my gift. Lucky me huh? Well as it turns out Riley thought it was the coolest thing ever. Here he is getting it stuck to the window of my car. And here is the piece d'resistance: My wonderful artistic boy has been exploring some different mediums for his artwork. First the edge of my comforter...
And second, his Shrek doll.
Both of these occurred while Riley was supposedly sleeping. Hmmm. I guess he wakes up inspired. We will just have to work on him finding a better canvas to use.
Love you all!

Once there was a snowman...

Well we got dumped on by another storm here in Utah. Not so fun for those of us that have to drive in it or shovel our driveways but Riley has been having the best time. Riley woke me up this morning and told me that it was Christmas again because it was snowing and that we had to go into the basement and pull out all the Christmas decorations to put back up. Fortunately I was able to pesuade him that this wasn't the best idea. He sure loves playing in the snow. He followed grandpa around while shoveling, throwing snowballs at him. I tried to distract him by taking him into the backyard and building a snowman. Here is our attempt.

Grandpa didn't think that Riley would be able to look back on our measly attempt at building a snowman with pride when he got older so when the driveway was done, he came back and showed us how to really do it.
I have a lot to learn. :) But Mom assures me that Riley is young and I have many such winters ahead of me to practice. Love you all!

Mom's Surgery

Mom had Carpal Tunnel surgery on her Right Hand on Thursday January 3rd. The Surgery went good and she will go back in a couple of weeks to remove the bandages and the stitches. Here is picture of her hand. In two or three months when this one is fully healed she will go back in and have the left hand done. She is a real trooper, insisting on doing everything for her self. She refused to take any pain medicine & has done just fine.
