Look How Big Our Little Monkey Is. . .

October was so much fun. . .I was a Monkey for Halloween and loved going Trick-or-Treating with my friends Addison, Landry, Mathus, Cassie and Avery. We stayed up past my bed time, it was so much fun. I also learned to sit-up this month. I'm still learning, but I can sit-up for a minute or two before I fall over. It's great. I went to my doctor’s visit at the first of the month I was 14 pounds 4 ounces and 25 1/2 inches long. Dr. Nye was so nice. Him and my dad started talking about music and all the songs that they like, finally they decided it was time to go. . .You know I did get shots and was not up for chit chat. I hear I’m a good eater; I love any fruit or veggie. Rice cereal is not once of my favorites. Grandma Fagan came out for a visit. It was so much fun to see her. We went on a wagon ride and picked our own pumpkin, well Grandpa Altop stayed with me while everyone went out and got their pumpkins. My mom and Grandma Altop went ALL THE WAY to the back of the patch to find the biggest pumpkin. . .You should have seen them carrying them ALL THE WAY BACK! My mom got me a cute little pumpkin just my size. I played with my cousin Anissa. She’s great. I can’t wait until I’m a little bigger and can play with her more. My Aunt Shani found out that they are having a boy that will be fun to meet him. The Jones Family came to visit us. That was sure fun. Those girls could come stay with me anytime they took really good care of me. That Steve though, I don’t know what to think of him. I thought I liked him, but then he scared me and made me cry. I’ll see that I think next time I see him. I went to my first Halloween Party at my Uncles house. It was so much fun. Everyone dressed up even my Grandpa and Grandma. Every looked really good. We had a baked potatoes bar and lots of fun Halloween desserts. Well I guess I watched them all eat that stuff. . .We played games and they gave me some really cool prizes too. So far this Halloween thing seems pretty fun. It’s starting to get cold and I’m not sure that I like that. We had our first snow storm, yes I know in October. I don’t know what winter is, but I hear that means we’ll probably have a bad one this year. Well I’m off to bounce in my door bouncer. I LOVE THAT THING.

Lots of love,

6 Months already

Can you believe I am almost 6 months old? I am growing so big. I am rolling over both ways now and can almost sit up by myself. Before you know it I will be crawling. August and September have been exciting months for me. I got TWO TEETH back when I was 4 months old, my two bottom teeth. Everyone was so surprised. I guess I’m an over achiever and started a little early. My mom thinks I’m teething again, so it should be anytime before I get my upper teeth too. I also started eating solid foods. My mom started me out on rice cereal which was way to boring for me. I spit it out every time. I then had green beans, peas, squash, sweet potatoes and carrots. They are yummy. Peas and sweat potatoes are my favorite. I started fruit this week too. Bananas are not my favorite I hope they get better.

Things are so fun and exciting. I figured out that I have a tongue. I love it. It makes the coolest noises. I wake up making noises and I like to talk and see how many different sounds I can make. I also found my feet. They are so cool. I love to play with them and I love to try and eat my toes. Right now I like to put everything in my mouth. It’s great.

We’ve also done some fun things too. I went on my first airplane ride. It was really fun and I was really good. We went to Las Vegas. That was a lot of fun. . .I loved to watch the people. We went to go and see my Grandma and Grandpa get a really special award. I was so glad that I could be there with them. To think that it was a year ago at that time that my mom and dad were surprising everyone and telling them I would be here soon. I also got to see my Aunt Kathi. She is a really cool lady. She was really excited to see me.

When we got back from Las Vegas my mom went back to work. She was really sad and cried for two weeks straight. I tried to let her know that I would be okay. My dad worked his schedule so he can play with me a couple days a week and then I go to Mrs. Kathy’s house a couple days a week. I love Mrs. Kathy. She is so great and treats me really good. I also love the kids. They are really fun to watch.

Last but not least we also went camping up in the Uintahs at Christmas Meadows. It was so much fun. We went with Shane, Heather, Adam, Hannah, Bryson and Holden. They are so much fun and love me a lot. It was beautiful right by the river. We had a camp fire, which I loved and we woke up at night to coyotes howling. We can’t wait to go again.

I go to my 6 month check up on Monday. That should be fun.

I love you all,
Xerika

Xerika's new Friend Tori Spelling

Guess what I met a CELEBRITY. I went to Las Vegas with my parents and we saw Tori Spelling and her husband Dean in the lobby of Mandalay Bay where we stayed. They were so nice. They were walking back from the pool and noticed this cute hate and bracelet that I had on. Tori wished that she had one for her new baby girl that she just had. It was so much fun. I was laughing and smiling at them and my parents stood there star struck and barley knew what to say. They stayed and talked to us for a long time. My dad made them laugh and said that we should go before the paparazzi caught on. It was really cool and A LOT of fun. If it hadn’t been for me they would have passed my parents like they were two boring people. I’m glad I could bring that excitement to the family.

4 months and growing

GUESS WHAT GUYS. . . .I ROLLED OVER. It was so much fun. I laid down for some tummy time while my mom and dad were doing the laundry. My mom walked past and saw me laying on my back looking up at her. She screamed and I laughed. . .my dad ran over and they flipped me over to ACTUALLY see me do it. Sure enough I DID IT AGAIN!! They are so proud of me. I've hit my first milestone already. Then they decided it was time to move me out of the basinet and have me start to sleep in my crib. So I had a big day with ROLLING OVER and sleeping ALL NIGHT in my crib. (I'm an angel and have been sleeping through the night for over a month now) WHOOO HOOOO.

I'm 4 months and growing. I went to my 4 month checkup with Dr. Nye. I now weigh 12 pounds 7 ounces and 24 inches long. I passed everything because I'm now talking (baby talk that is), laughing, look when I hear noises, lay on my belly and push my head and chest up, and drum roll please. . . .I NOW roll over. In the next month I hear they can start to give me solid foods, which I am already looking forward to. I love to read books and people magazine with mom, and play with TOYS.

July was a fun month for us. The month started off with a surprise visit from Grandma and Papa Fagan. I then went on my first trip up to Park City where I met all of my moms work friends and was the STAR of the SHOW. We stayed at the Zermont Resort for two nights and Heather and Shane came up and joined us. It was really nice and fun to get away.

I went up to Pineview with Uncle JI, Aunt Jen and her family. We had a dutch oven dinner in the campground. It was way fun.

I went to my first parade on the 24th of July. I LOVED IT!!! I went with Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Altop, and my cousins Christa, Mckenna and Payton. The fire trucks and the cowboys shooting their guns were really cool. My mom and Grandma thought it would make me cry, but NO WAY I just watched and watched and loved it.

We had a visit from our dear friends and old neighbors Lisa, Trent and Trevor Jones. I don't know who missed them more my mom or Chloe. It was fun for me to meet my new friends. Trent and Trevor were really nice to sit in the back of the car with me while Lisa and my mom talked and talked in front of the car. They took such good car of me. Trent and Trevor played Guitar Hero and Rock Band with my parent. I guess I'll like that too when I get BIG. We miss them already.

Hope your all having a great summer. We love you.

Camping and the 4th of July

Here are some picture of our camping trip over Fathers Day weekend and our fun surprise visit from Grandma and Pappa over the 4th of July. We went to my Uncle James house for a BBQ. We watched the fireworks as we drove home from his house in Willard. We saw lots that way. We had another visitor on the 4th of July. Bandit the racoon. He decided to come and eat the dog and cat food. We now have our friend Jeremy trapping it for us so it doesn't hurt Norman, Chloe or Zeke. We had a lot of fun with Andy and Stacy when they came to visit. My mom, Stacy and I all went shopping and got a pedicure. That was sure nice. Andy and my dad hit the golf course and then we went to one of our favorite restaurants McCools. Hope you enjoy the photos.

Welcome to our Page

Welcome to our blog. We look forward to sharing a lot of fun times and cute pictures with you. Since I have been keeping my mom very busy she is just now putting together some photos from my blessing (which was on Mothers Day), my Uncle James and Aunt Jen’s wedding where I got to meet all of my family and friends who I love already. This has been such a fun summer. My mom and I have enjoyed the days together and we look forward to seeing my dad when he gets home from work. We went on our first camping trip over Fathers Day weekend. What a fun first Fathers Day for my dad. My mom is also working on a slide show with some photos from camping and the 4th of July.

Happy reading.

Love,
Xerika
