i had the most wonderful valentine's day =)
Like the saying goes, if we love each other, every day is valentine's day. But it still turned out to be one amazing day. thank you bb

sam isn't particular about vday, he claims it's just another day for merchants to tok patrons.
and really is tok until cannot tok kind..
but he is still willing to be toked for me. haha..

I wasn't really expecting anything because the focus was more on the CNY that is coming in a few days. It was quite a hectic period at the work place because of the festive season, and the exchanging of new notes was quite crazy.

Vday falls on a saturday this year and i'm thankful that he isn't working on that day ^^
but he sent a beautiful bouquet of red roses to my office on friday morning. i was so happy heee...

it was really beautiful. Simple and classy with no other ja-pa-lang side flowers / leaves..
And the wrapping was so nice cos it's not those conventional type of wrapping paper. Ok i'm just biased, thinking i've gotten the nicest looking bouquet haha

Yes i just so love flowers hahaa... though it's perishable and its beauty doesn't last... but still, all girls love flowers, don't they??

Only managed to take a photo with it after work.. cos i was too shy to take a selfie in the morning with all my colleagues still in the office. hee..

Sam was working really hard and we only meet 1-2 days per week. Cos he ends work at 9pm and work alternate weekends and sundays. It's really hard on him. Nevertheless, he still takes initiative to plan for special occasions like this, and really, i do not have much more to ask of him.

Usually on weekends, our plan was to just chill at home and go for a dinner nearby. That morning, he specifically told me to wear something nicer out. Hmm...i was still thinking of wearing my romper but he mentioned that it would be better for me to dress up a little.
i began to freak out cos the only formal clothes i have are my office wear. i hate to wear office clothes for dates. haha..

i rummaged through my clothes and found this off shoulder lace dress that i've bought online quite long time ago. I've not worn it cos i was flabbergasted at how super body hugging it was when i received it. The last time i tried it on i looked like bao ba zhang... zzzz.. like every ounce of fat on the body also can show kind...
i decided to give it another try..cos i was desperate to find a dress and i was running late.

i've lost about 6kg since, maybe the tummy wouldn't be too obvious. i feel very naked wearing it.. plus it was nude colour. haha..

Took this shot at his place. Brought new year goodies for his mom :)

my little token for him. i last minute found a pink wrapping paper at home to wrap it up... how sincere hahaha... but the present was bought last year in November. Girls don't do last minute vday shopping like guys.

i lied to him that it was a mug.

but was actually this...

i got him a red G-shock last vday. this year is a black one.
It's a limited edition piece with very subtle Camo prints on the face. I'm not a fan of camo but this looks cool cos the wristband is in a gunmetal black. i knew i just had to get it.

Dinner was 6:30pm but he refused to reveal the place until we reached Collyer Quay's ocean financial centre.
It was Zafferano on the 43th level. wow

I think one of the happiest things i would like to do in my life is planning a wedding. My own wedding, haha..

It's like my ultimate goal in life -- to get married, start a family and have kids.
And finally on the 33rd year of my life, i'm finally able to see some light. And it's about time to embark on this journey to reach this goal of mine, lol

I'm gonna pen down each and every little preparation / thoughts throughout this journey.

Of cos, probably engaging a wedding planner would do the job just right and i do not have to worry about a single thing.
However, i guess planning it myself makes a whole lot of difference and makes the whole process sweeter (or stressful? i really do not know....yet).

I've gotten a "Wedding Notes" planner book from Kikki. It's damn expensive. But i really want to have it. I loved it so much that i bought another one for my BFF, esther who is also planning her wedding!
We are both ultra excited, haha..

First and foremost would be choosing an auspicious date for the wedding.
My aunt helped pick a date for us.

I did some research on the bridal studios that do pre-wedding photoshoots. Shortlisted a few, but actually only 2 that i really fancied.

Bluebay wedding and Whitelink.

We went to the Love@Vivocity bridal fair last month and whitelink had a booth there. However, we didnt have any idea on our wedding dates so the sales person didnt really push us to sign any packages. That's also our strategy. Just say "haven confirm" to every question they asked to close us. hahaha...
i quite like the variety of gowns there. Probably can KIV for my AD gown.
As for photoshoot, dunno why i so 死心眼, when i set my heart on something, nothing..nothing can make me change my mind. All i wanted was bluebay... cos i saw how nicely taken Rebecca's wedding shots were. She shared with me that her photographer was Kiwi and MUA was Baby.

Sam and i went down to Bluebay 2 Saturdays ago, we were served by Maggie. However, there were around 4 couples waiting for her service, and we didn't have an appointment. So, we made another appointment (which was yesterday 30/01/2015) to go down again.

So, yesterday we made our way to Bluebay boutique @ Delfi Orchard at 7pm.
Elsa, a very bubbly and cute Taiwanese girl served us.
She reminds me of Wendy, the 台湾妹 back in my uni days.

Sam said that i should make it very clear what's my preferences before we moved on to discuss any further. And yes, he is right. Cos if it cannot be fulfilled, i shouldn't even be wasting time looking through their portfolio. haha..
The only preference was, i want Kiwi to be my photographer, and nobody else.
I'm not particularly blown away by their gowns' design, to be honest. So, there was no other drawing factor towards this Bluebay except for the photographer (who took Rebecca's wedding photos).

Elsa was at first abit reluctant as i think it was their rule that no photographer can be 指定. And moreover, Kiwi was the most sought after photographer in Bluebay, thus it was even more impossible to be able to book him.
Elsa totally understood my requirement, and told me Kiwi will most probably be in Taiwan in August for his break.. so i could try my luck..but no promises.

I told her to please check his schedule for us and ask him personally if he was okay to help us, so she went to the back office to call Kiwi.
We overhead her telling Kiwi that if he can't, she will have to 送客 already. lol...

She came back out with 3 dates.
1st week of August, 2nd week of August and 3rd week of August.
Of cos, the 3rd week 17th August - 22nd August was the most favourable. As it will be our birthday week!
I'm so excited! We could use the opportunity to celebrate both our birthdays in Taiwan! Woohoooo~

So we confirmed the date of shooting to be on the 18th of August. OMG... i was so happy.
First day would be the selection of gowns and suits, the photoshoot will take place on the 2nd day.
After which, one day would be the selection of our photos.
The package cost $2880, but they gave us a discount and it became $2,280 nett.
Package includes 30 photos (additional 6 prints due to friend's referral)
A photobook, a mini photobook (which consists of 32 photos), a Bedside wall photo, a desk photo, a musical Ferris wheel photo frame and also a scroll that we can use for our guestbook.
we didn't really bargain for more freebies etc.. so i think we are very good customers to close a sale with.

I'm feeling particularly excited and i spent my whole saturday checking out Taipei hotels, hehe...
As much as i thought i'm a super 'chin chai' person, i realised i'm super particular about certain things... haha.. yes, 死心眼. very, very 死心眼.

Have shortlisted a few..

1) Tango Nanshi Taipei
2) Ambience Hotel Taipei
3) Dandy Hotel Tianjin branch

They are not very cheap. Our budget is around $100 per night, but from past experiences, we always ended up booking hotels which are close to more than $150 per night. haha...
but i'm glad that Tiger airways have some really good deals and great timings for our dates! Only cost $400 plus for 2 pax.
So, we can afford to choose a slightly more expensive hotel in view that we saved alot on the air tics.
My mom was worried though.. she say, can travel by Singapore Airlines anot please, haha... but SIA costs $1096..... that's like 500-600 dollars difference.. i'm not particular about the plane i sit.. but i want my hotel stay to be modern, clean and classy, haha..
i think Sam has no preference on the hotel rooms at all. His only concern, must be accessible, best if it's like a stone's throw from the MRT, which Tango is! However, it costs around $170 per night. haha..

more updates soon!
