It's Fridayyyyyy...
but i'm stuck at home with a swollen face.

3rd day post laser. 3rd day on leave. And i'm bored to death at home.
It's Christmas month and i love Decembers! Cos it's festive season, everyone is clearing leave and in a holiday mood. Some suddenly realised 2014 just went past in a flash and wondered how they have had spent their year fruitful, probably wanted to end the last chapter of their year on a good note.

To me, Christmas is all about love and giving. You know like sitting in a house with a loved one, warming yourselves before a fireplace with snow falling outside.. and christmas carols playing in the background. haha.. (think Home Alone movie).. not possible in singapore though.
Maybe on aircon until very cold, and cupping your hands over a mug of hot chocolate. A christmas tree which is lit up by the side would complete the setting.
haha

Santa's Naughty piece.
 photo 1_zpsbccd86ef.jpg
Lol.. got this at La Senza's Black Friday sale a week ago. I'm crazily addicted now, all thanks to my girl colleague at work for inspiring me, lol... She says she got one nightie a day before she went overseas with her bf and her bf's eye popped out when he saw her in it. Lol... i also wan my bf eye pop out ehh.
cannot see other girl pop out. must see me pop out then can!!!

However, i don't think i will have a chance to wear it until i get married or have my own house ba. Like another girlfriend commented, "This kind of lingerie, buy liao cannot wear. Wear liao cannot wash!" Lol... it's so so true.
I think my mom will kill me if i hang this out to dry.
Hope she doesn't find it. I'm hiding it well in my bedroom. Or else i will just tell her i'm stocking up for marriage (if it ever happens lol)...
I also ordered a few pieces from overseas. hahaa.. i can have only 1 bag or have only 1 pair of heels. But i have a thing for lingerie. so i buy alot of them. Sometimes, by wearing it (even though there may not be an audience), it makes you feel good and sexy about yourself.
:)

Another stuff i got last week cos my lips were chapped zzz
 photo 32_zps29a9505b.jpg
Gotten it from Sephora.
Tinted lip balm with a hint of colour. I purposely chose a shade that's neither too dark nor pale.
 photo 33_zpsfb91c14f.jpg

only 1 photo taken to show the colour of the balm on my lips. Natural de
 photo 34_zps9880b383.jpg

Face is still swollen, maybe not as swollen as the 1st day. It's now 120% of the original size.
i can feel my face less puffy and cheeks no longer blocking my view, haha..
Outermost layer of the skin is brownish and is also peeling like an eraser, but not dehydrated.

Hope i can go out on Sunday already.
I'm going to be bored to death very, very soon......

Lastly, 2 selfies taken last month to remind myself that i'm still pretty beyond the swollen face and all. haha

i'm on leave for 3 days. hehe...
think the only time i have the 闲情 to update my blog is whenever i'm clearing my annual leave. lol

i'm bringing 14 days of leave from 2014 to 2015 cos didn't have much chance to clear them during this year.
I'm not a person who likes to be off from work. Not that i don't like to take a break.. but it's just not me. cos i feel irresponsible, even though i'm fully aware i'm entitled to my days off. haha.. Maybe i'm workaholic and i reckon my workaholic ex-bosses love me, ahhaa...my ex colleagues can come and tell me, Hey boss just now laugh at you, say u silly why never ask for Off-days from him one.
-_-
TSK

Anyway, the reason why i took leave besides the fact that i NEEDED to, was that i'm going for another round of fractional laser.
 photo 26_zps02f07a1c.jpg
hur..

You can read my first session of Fraxel Re:Store here. Done in November last yr.

i thought i updated my 2nd session (done in May this year), but i guess i didn't after all, haha.... think too lazy Lol..
The only photo worthwhile to be uploaded from the last session is this..
 photo 31_zps1fc28786.jpg
The "Before" and "After" photos just after 1 session of laser.
"Before' photo taken in Nov 2013 before i did the procedure. The "After" photo taken in May 2015.
pardon the lines on the photo. Cos i took the shot from the monitor screen.
Can see my pitted scars looking less deep. They aren't gone but just shallower.

Yesterday they took my photos after removing the make up and compared them with the photos taken in May too.. but i paiseh to snap a photo using my phone cos the 3 nurses (or staff) were also standing beside me looking at them and discussing.. zzz. One even pointing out to me that got one pitted scar disappeared liao, haha..

The very friendly staff helped apply Numbing cream onto my face. She's so cute, asked where i will experience more pain and she will apply a thicker layer over that area. I'm quite sure my pain tolerance level is high but i still kiasu and asked her to apply thicker for the whole face.
Lol... see so thick
 photo 27_zpsc007026b.jpg

After around 45 minutes, the numbing cream like disappeared liao..
 photo 28_zps0001b1dc.jpg
Another staff came and washed the numbing cream off. She was using alot of strength, even though my skin felt less sensitive to touch by then, it was painful when she wiped the cream off my forehead. i wonder why.
In my heart i was thinking, please dont wipe until the numbing effect gone can? Then later good game...

I was asked to go to another room where the Fraxel treatment would take place.
Dr Chan commented i looked scared.
I was, indeed!
I kept talking to him throughout in order to distract myself from the pain. Like what product to use and all etc...
He did 8 passes of the laser on my face. 2 Horizontal and 2 vertical passes on both sides of my face and then forehead, ending with nose and the skin above my lips (OUCH).
After that again, another 2 more horizontal and vertical passes each. The 5th-8th passes were painful. Doctor kept apologising to me hahaa.... he said he increased the frequency for me this time round.

Glad it was all over in 10 minutes. i was very guai already. The nurse who applied numbing cream told me some people need 30 minutes cos they keep screaming to the doctor asking for a break.
Isn't it more torturous to prolong the whole procedure like that??

Me after laser. Face swollen. Cant see the redness in the photo cos there was no natural lighting. It's not very red actually, but it was still painful from the procedure.
 photo 37_zps97bf706d.jpg
Boyfriend was not able to accompany me as he was still working, he was so apologetic but i'm perfectly alright to take a cab home myself with my mask on. Hee.. got a cab pretty fast without having the need to book. Yay.

Doctor prescribed a fruit acid which he said to use topically on my scars and nose.
I still have a tube of sunblock from my first session, so i didn't need to get more.

I'm using AHA facial wash which i thought was enough. Dr says fruit acid would be much more effective. Buy lo.. throw money like that very jialat, hahaa..
 photo 29_zps46545ea4.jpg
HydraQuench cream mask from Clarins was my life-saver since my second laser session. The first session i was using Hada Labo Intense hydration moisturiser. I applied super thick layer and finished the whole tub within a week, BUT no use. Skin still peeled like nobody's business and i couldn't talk to people without them staring....
This Clarins mask don't need to apply alot and it moisturises my skin very well. And lastly the SPF60 sunblock from the clinic which i applied over the moisturiser.
Dr says morning and night also must use. Even when sleeping. hmm..

It is 21 hours post procedure. I'm supposed to look my worst haha
My face is red and out of shape cos it's so so swollen. Very 夸张 one cos my cheeks are so puffy they are slightly blocking my view from my eyes, haha..
It has puffed up to 150% of its original size. haha

good luck to me. Blog again soon. i will be very free these 5 days.

I had a day off from work and i'm so happy :)

Attended a half-day course in the morning, and the trainer finished it in 2 hours so my colleague and i went bras shopping! haha...
After which, she went to meet her friend for lunch while i headed home.
The urge to go home and blog is always so strong, but the mind is willing and yet the flesh is weak, aha... I was so tired that i slept 3 hours straight. omg. why am i so tired?

And so, here i am, blogging after dinner.
Feeling a bit queasy in the stomach and i'm wondering why. I don't know what i ate wrong yesterday cos i was having mild diarrhoea today :(

I'm trying to do an update of my life up to this juncture. It's like, okay i need to clear the whole backlog of updates until i'm on track to blog again daily...

Work
I've transferred to another department in the same bank and i need not slog my life away anymore like i used to. No more sales numbers that i desperately need to hit monthly.
Anyway, I had never wanted to go into banking after leaving the teaching career. Definitely not sales.
I wanted a desk bound job, everyday can sit pretty in the office in a very nice building can liao. OKay, i know i sibei shallow and bimbotic, but yeah... that's like my dream job, haha..
But i also don't know how i ended up working as a banker and 3 years just went in a flash.
Time flies.
It's rather easy to be hired to do banking sales if you are a fresh grad / someone with no prior banking experience. The turnover rate is very high because you either make it or you don't.
To be honest, it was a stepping stone for me to get into the industry and eventually get my dream job (office 9-6pm, haha). Cos teaching and banking do not really mix, so it's difficult to switch from teaching straight to a desk-bound job in banking.

So yeahhhh... now my office is in a super chio building in a dynamic place :)
Though the pay not as attractive now but you really can't have the best of both worlds.

My office just had a SKII bazaar and i got my bottle of 神奇水 @ half-price! And also got a free Cellumination Essence EX!
 photo 19_zps72b98a87.jpg
It was my first time trying the Cellumination essence and i think it's effective!
Dunno if it's me or what, but i really saw the skin glow the next morning after i used my first drop the night before!
However, it may give me a clogged pore if i used too much of it. Maybe the product is too rich, or perhaps my skin is way too sensitive cos it usually reacts to new products in the initial stage.
After that, will be okay liao...
My colleagues were all raving on how good this is, haha..
But this tiny bottle is darn expensive! Almost $300 for 50ml -_- and i'm glad i got it for free!!!
after use finish then worry ba, haha.. i every night use 1 drop, should be able to tahan until next year end. keke...

My hair stylist commented that my skin looks different from the last time he saw me, which was roughly 8 months back. He say it looks more radiant, hahaa.. i tell him i wont be sweet-talked into spending money on their hair treatments.. Lol, but he said maybe i everyday see myself so didn't notice the difference.
Haha.. i guessed Fraxel laser did the best improvement on my skin.
I would need probably 2-3 more sessions of it to completely smoothen out my pitted scars.
But the thought of going through the whole procedure and one whole week of downtime still scares me.

The other facial products i'm using...
 photo 20_zpsc5bfc768.jpg
I use the SK2 Facial essence and this Clarins shaping facial lift in the morning. The HydraQuench Cream-Gel is my day moisturiser as well.
Night time will use the cellumination essence cos i reckon it may be too rich for my skin if i use it twice a day. The HydraQuench cream-mask is my nighttime moisturiser.
No choice need to take care of my aging skin liao. O well......

This is also recommended by my colleague. Hair tonic, hahaha... Shit, i feel darn old even talking about aging skin and thinning hair, ahha
 photo 21_zpsa5169c0b.jpg
But this is really effective.

My hair is very fine and little. It looks like i'm balding especially on the top of my head. Or maybe i am :S

Usually, i'm very skeptical when it comes to all these products but after using 3 bottles, my friends have commented that the empty patch on my scalp is less obvious liao.
I didn't even ask them, but they ownself noticed and told me about it. So i know this is good, ahha..
Hopefully it gets better.

Also stocked up on my monthly contact lenses. Buy 4 pairs free 4! Total damage= $112 for 8 months.
It's even cheaper as compared to buying them from BKK!
BKK sells one pair for 17 bucks. and i got $14 for each now, YAY ^^ love good deals!
 photo 22_zpsc24a9b68.jpg

This whole post is like updating on all the things i bought lol..

My blouse from Stradivarius @ Ion orchard.
Chiffon blouse with bow-trim. Taken in the office toilet on the day i wore it to work.
 photo 25_zps40950911.jpg
It comes in Navy, black as well as white. However, i think this blush colour suits my skin better and the colour combination is nicer.
Bf asks why i go and buy cosplay costume, Tsk!
But every single colleague who saw me in the top commented, haha! Most of them said it looked good, one said i look more serious. One commented that it looks like an Aircrew uniform when i paired it with my blazer, lol. Even the big boss also say, Wah nice new top! haha

I tried on this jacket too. Love it cos it's denim plus cotton sleeves and a detachable hood.
 photo 24_zps308cf355.jpg
BUT, it's a whopping $89.95. forget it haha... maybe go back to buy when i can't stop thinking about it or when i'm feeling rich, haha..

Selfie. Beauty mode filter on. haha
 photo 23_zps00756e32.jpg

Last monday, i met up my lovely ex-colleagues.
Clare who is flying back to her hometown tomorrow to hold her wedding banquet.
 photo 2_zps5c656848.jpg
Cyndy gave her 2 cards for her friends to write their wedding wishes on and a couple Mickey bride and groom pens. Lol...
I gave her a POREfessional pro balm primer from Benefit, since she kept complaining of her visible pores. keke...

Cyndy also helped me get these Nanoblock characters from BKK!
 photo 1_zpsbd0ef92a.jpg
These are for sam, haha.. We got Captain America and Ironman from our last BKK trip. It's quite addictive so we got Cyndy to help us get more, hehe..
One box costs 100 baht = 4 SGD.

Singapore selling 18 bucks for 2 lor. So ex

Took a group welfie with my free Selfie-stick from union! YAY...

Last but not least,
a photo of us taken with a Photo kiosk at Westgate in Jurong.

My 33rd birthday. why i so old

#Throwback
#birthday

haha.. this was even before our Bangkok trip.

i find that i do not take as many photos as i used to. Last time, i everything also wanna snap a photo. Maybe cos i blogged frequently, lol..
Now old liao. Guess it's more important to be in the 'now' rather than concentrating on taking photos and missing out on the experience real-time.
Nah.. probably i'm just lazy.

On my birthday, i wanted to give myself a treat.
Took a day off, got FAR away from work and pampered myself to what i love doing most.
Lol...

bf wasn't able to take leave, so we only made plans to meet for dinner in the evening.
And i was perfectly fine with the arrangement.
cos i booked a slot at Arteastiq to paint!
Yea, I wanted to treat myself to some me-time.
Like at one corner, doing my thang. haha. and it makes me happy.

Arteastiq is a cafe that has a Art-jamming corner whereby you get to do acrylic painting.
For the two times I was there, i've never stepped into the cafe, though i read reviews saying that the ambience and food was good.
My aim isn't for the food and all. It really was just for the painting, haha.

A 3-hour slot ($48) gets you a drink, a 50 x 50cm canvas, one set of brushes and tubes of acrylic paint at your disposal.

I spent quite some time deciding on the picture i wanted to paint. I googled it.
 photo 1300415-bigthumbnail_zps4d2751ab.jpg
I love Manga and this looks quite difficult, but i wanted to challenge myself.
My dad told me beforehand that i shouldn't be too ambitious cos i'm still a noob when it comes to acrylic painting.
Anyway, i will just treat it like it's poster colour, ahha

I saved the picture in my thumbdrive and the very helpful lady there helped me print it out.
 photo IMG-20140820-WA0015_zps9a544e33.jpeg

Because it was my birthday, they gave me a 1-for-1 treat, meaning i get 2 sessions for the price of 1. So i booked 2 slots at one go. I'm quite sure i wont be able to complete my painting in 3 hours.

I think the face is the hardest to draw, and i made sure i get it perfect before moving on to the rest of the drawing.
 photo 2_zps2313c5b1.jpg
Pencil sketch is done! It looks slightly different from the print-out, but i drew it my style haha.
 photo 1_zps6ee58d50.jpeg

I bought an additional tiny paintbrush to paint details, like the eyes and lip colour
 photo 3_zpsf1a19726.jpeg
Close up.
 photo 4_zps1027f724.jpeg

I painted half of it in the 3 hours. Was really enjoying myself haha.. Love alone time like this!
i'm so anti-social!
 photo 5_zpsb0a4effb.jpeg
The art jamming place is like a gallery and people can see what you are painting from outside through the glass. One angmoh lady knocked on the glass and typed on her handphone, "Do you sell this?" Lol...
i didn't know how to react so i just shook my head. She looked disappointed and clasped her hands together, and said, "please?"
i shook my head again and gave her a sheepish grin. Omg, how to sell and how much to sell man...
in the end, she just took a photo of my half-painted drawing and left. haha..

I'm finally done after 5 man hours. Honestly, i'm proud of my work and i'm so glad it turned out nicely, ahhaa...
 photo 8_zps1fbad51c.jpg
Changed abit of the background and added in red instead. Nice?? hee...

Took a photo of the canvas on the easel.
 photo 6_zps3b64d44c.jpg

i requested the staff there to help me take a photo of my art work, cos once they packed it, you won't be able to open it again easily. They will pack it by stapling the wooden canvas frame.
  photo 7_zpsc9cf436f.jpg
The girl who helped me take the photo said it's very nice, wahaha... *blushes*

After painting and collected my additional rose tea drink, i left for home to wash up.
It was already 4-ish.

Dinner was a surprise. Sam didn't want to disclose where he was taking me.
But when i reached, i was shocked.
 photo 31_zps4c74b027.jpg
Shocked cos i booked the exact same restaurant for his birthday 2 days after!
ARGHHHHHH.....
we got so 心灵相通 anot....
 photo 21_zps9bb07c24.jpg

And he was darn happy that my birthday came first and he brought me here first. So too bad, i have to cancel my reservation and book another venue. Damnit!
And the whole time i was cracking my brain to think of a new place. D:

We reached the 55th level.
There was a rose on the table :) He said he made special arrangement for the rose. lol

 photo 16_zps41471848.jpg
This is the first time i'm eating Waygu beef.
 photo 15_zps31768ace.jpg

He still ordered 2 sides, truffle fries and grilled mushrooms. We ended up not being able to finish all the food :(

After that, he gave me my present, yay ^^
There was a pair of diamond ear studs and a necklace with a heart-shaped pendant!
 photo 10_zpseed4b063.jpg
Thank you for all the diamonds, hehe.. :)

And a cake :)
 photo 17_zps63d67e8b.jpg
 photo 20_zpsa056c953.jpg

The staff helped us take a photo and printed one and put it in a card for us too! :) photo 19_zpsaa19d8a8.jpg

Thank you bb for everything.
Much love

xoxo

Bangkok trip 2014

i'm back to blog again.
Hopefully it's not a one time affair in half a year again, lol...
i reckon this blog will gonna be dead very soon. O well..

I'm just back from Bangkok last night. I thought i should blog about my trip.
Reasons being:
So i got some info to refer to when we go back there again.
Secondly, i wanna remember the details just in case i forget, given the short-term memory me.
Thirdly, it was such an awesome trip (like our first trip last year on the exact same day) that i needed to blog about it.

So here goes.
We went with Tiger airways this time round cos it was the cheapest. Only applied for my leave 4 days before flying off. So air tickets and hotels were booked very last minute.

 photo 4_zpsf8b74b1c.jpg

Hotel was Centara Watergate Pavillion Hotel Bangkok‎.
Name sibei long.. zzz

Sam was in charge of booking the air tics while i chose the hotel. Cos he claimed i was more particular when it comes to hotel stay.
And i guess he is right :)

 photo 3_zpsd50de0e0.jpg
Reaching BKK.... can u spot the tiger's wing? haa
 photo 5_zps499b4170.jpg

This taxi driver was trying to tout for customers at the airport and he agreed to go by meter when we asked him.
After he loaded our luggage up his taxi and driving off, i asked why he didn't turn on his meter. He said, "400 baht" (which was 15 SGD).
Didn't know what came over me but i was pissed and raised my voice, saying NO. How can he go against his words. i insisted that he go by meter and he finally relented but obviously super buay song.

Not a good way to start our BKK experience. *rolls eyes*

Reached the hotel finally. The taxi driver didnt know where the exact location was so he made a few extra rounds. Centara Grand was at central world but this is Centara watergate, i believe from the same hotel chain. It's a relatively new hotel. Probably 2-3 years old.
 photo 7_zps5bc86fc6.jpg
We stayed at Hotel Muse last year and it was pure luxury. Didn't go back there this year even though Sam said we could if i really liked it. I thought we should leave the memory as it is, heh..
Hotel muse will always remain that fantastic hotel for our 1st trip together

Moreover, there should be other hotels in Bangkok that are as awesome.
And Centara just proved that right :)
 photo 8_zps6f40afed.jpg
The check-in reception is on the 9th floor. Staff were really attentive and friendly. They dealt with each customer with professionalism.

Lobby lounge area.
 photo 9_zps9caa434c.jpg
There is a connecting glass door to the outside.
 photo 10_zps877ac52a.jpg

Look at this!
 photo 11_zps6f143d49.jpg
Too bad it isn't a swimming pool, haha.. Yah sadly, the hotel doesn't have a swimming pool, but it does not matter cos we wouldn't go swimming also.

We arrived at the hotel quite early cos of our morning flight, and the room could only be ready at 2:30pm. We requested for a high floor and were given Room 1811 (on the 18th floor! :)
The hotel has 20 floors and the highest was some roof-top bar which we had forgotten to visit during our 5 days' stay there.

We walked to Platinum Fashion mall since it was a stone's throw from Centara. Around 10 minutes walk. But need to climb overhead bridges if you don't wanna risk your lives to jay walk.
Platinum is our favourite place for shopping. We went there to shop like 3 out of 5 days last year. Chatuchak or MBK cannot compare with Platinum.
The clothes like Far East plaza kind. Chatuchak clothes are not as nice...like bugis village maybe?

I had claypot Kuay Chap at their Food court on Level 6. Not so fantastic. Their kuay is very interesting de. It's rolled up like a popiah so it can taste rather bland when you bite into it.
 photo 1_zpsab28ab73.jpg
Sam's favourite Thai dish- The Pad Thai. I lost count of how many times he had this dish throughout the trip. i think everyday he will eat at least once. haha..
 photo 2_zpsd57e6ff7.jpg
We had Oyster omelette which i didn't take a photo of.

Dessert was chocolate waffles :)
 photo 6_zps66a0e56d.jpg

Sam bought a canvas rucksack, which in my opinion was rather cute, haha..
Soon, it was 2.30pm and we walked back to Centara.

Given our room assess cards and do take a look at HOW AWESOME THE ROOM IS!
Booked the Deluxe room, which was probably bigger than the Superior room?
 photo 12_zps7ce68ce3.jpg
Super chio right?
I'm super in love with the aquarium-looking bathroom which had a rain shower.
 photo 13_zps13523523.jpg
Basin area
 photo 14_zps45f0a00d.jpg

Desk area.
I don't like the chair though cos it has protruding metal base stands that i kept kicking into. Damn painful.
 photo 15_zps97df0fda.jpg

We dragged ourselves out before evening to go to the tailor. Sam comes here every year to restock his shirts for work.
Last year, he tailored 5 shirts and 2 pants. This year, another 5 more shirts, a pair of pants and a suit.
 photo 16_zps2176b870.jpg
i helped him choose the cloth and material together with some recommendation from the tailor.
Love doing it. I think i no design clothes is a waste cos i'm so passionate about it. wahaha...
And Sam totally gave me 101% empowerment in choosing for him. He so look me up lor. Lol...
*Hugs*

 photo 28d_zps007d6297.jpg

Tailor is 'Boss Avenue' at Nana BTS station. (119 Corner of Sukhumvit Soi 7, Sukhumvit Rd., Bangkok 10110)
Thumbs up for their customer service! Workmanship is good too, but sometimes the shirts may have slight inconsistencies though given the same measurement.
A 2-ply cotton shirt costs 1,300 baht (S$50).
A pair of pants costs 1,500 baht (S$57) and a whole suit (blazer and pants) costs 5,000 baht (S$200).
Sam made one suit in Singapore for 400 dollars, so this is like half the price back here.
Total cost at the tailor = 13,000 baht (SGD500)

After that, we walked over to Central World for dinner.
Dinner was at Taling Pling. One of our favourite restaurants in BKK. We had meals at this place twice last year.

Sam had pad-thai as usual (so no photos, haha)

I was craving for Sambal fried rice. The menu has this dish called fried rice with spicy sauce or something, so i assumed it was sambal.
It turned out not to be sambal, so i had this weird tasting dish with uncooked vegetables at the side instead. It was still tasty but probably not to my liking.
 photo 28c_zpse18e7239.jpg

We will order this at every Thai restaurant even when in Singapore. Thai fish cake. YUMS!!
 photo 28a_zps0df91290.jpg
How can we not order Tom Yum soup when dining in Thailand?
 photo 28b_zps57f127c7.jpg
Dinner was so late. By the time we finished, it was 10 plus almost 11pm and we were dead tired.
Bed was so comfortable we had a well-rested night :)

Missed hotel's breakfast on the second day cos we weren't sure what time the breakfast buffet ends.
Turned out to be from 6:30am to 10:30am, and we were too late by the time we washed up and bathed :(

Headed out to fill our empty stomachs right away.
Sam was saying there's this very famous Wanton mee stall near Platinum mall so we went in search of it.
We failed to find it the day before when we touched down, this time we were determined.

Managed to Google it and found the directions from some blog.
It is actually at Soi 19.
Just right next to Shibuya mall (the side lane nearer McDonald's).

There was a long queue outside and it was drizzling... but fortunately, we didn't need to spend much time queuing. Probably 15 minutes or so and we were quickly ushered in :D

This very stylo-milo man cooking our wanton mee. He looks like he rides a Harley Davidson bike.
   photo 17_zpsa21e3da7.jpg
Our wanton mee! Very small portion, so if you are really hungry, go for 2 or 3 bowls. If not, add a plate of braised pig trotters rice. SUPER DELICIOUS de.
 photo 18_zps562a1015.jpg
Wanton mee was nice. Something like our Pontian, but this has fried pork oil cubes that i love!!! Unhealthy but i like, ahha..
The shop has, i think 70% Singaporeans in it, lol....

After lunch, we went to Platinum mall for this!
 photo 19_zps4c9bb5f0.jpg
I had Banana-chocolate crepe (cold), and Sam had the crispy Nutella+banana crepe (hot).
 photo 20_zps168971f4.jpg
I like this! It has fresh cream which is super fattening as well. But we just kept eating this every time we were at Platinum. Eat until the lady at the crepe stall also recognise us.
I haven open my mouth to order she already say, "Banana and Chocolate?"
hur....

We gotten bermudes and 3 tees from a shop called Portrait on Level 4. This shop sells quite nice and good quality men's casual wear.
Cutting is quite nice. Something like what u can find in our edit. stores. But edit. sells bermudes at $59.90.
Over at Portrait, 2 pieces and above wholesale price is at $18+ each.

We adjourned over to Central World again this time to meet one of our ex-colleagues, F, for an early dinner. He just touched down the night before. It was such an coincidence that we visit bkk at the same time. Actually Sam bumped into a few friends here. haa.. now is a popular season to fly over.

There was a cosplay fiesta at CentralWorld. We were here last year and there was some cosplay event too.

See. Sailormoon(s), haha.. so cute de.
 photo 21_zpsb39b78b2.jpg

Dinner at an atas seafood restaurant together with F.
 photo 22_zps126847c7.jpg
Their famous fried fish that was oh-so-good!
 photo 24_zps9e70df8f.jpg
F recommended this as well. Salted egg with squid.
 photo 23_zps32a67ddc.jpg
We had oyster omelette and sambal morning glory as well. No photos taken.
Delicious :)

After that, F left for the tailor at Boss Avenue, and Sam & i went to have desserts at AfterYou Dessert Café.
This is very popular as well.
 photo 25_zps52e1f61e.jpg
I had mud brownie topped with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream. SLURP!!
 photo 27_zps58fca37c.jpg
 photo 28_zps1d75ed39.jpg
Nutella thick toast with ice-cream for him. This is very yummy as well!
 photo 26_zpsa7521dbd.jpg

Some breath mints i bought for my colleagues.
Interesting.
The mints has this rubbery outer covering and when you bite into it, the inner core bursts and some very refreshing liquid oozes out, making your breath so fresh. haha
 photo 30_zpsc24e2599.jpg

We went to the tailor for Sam's fitting in the evening again.
Made some alterations to the sample shirt, pants as well as the blazer before heading back to the hotel.

There was a Pratunam market near our hotel and we had some cheap buys there, hehe..
i got myself 3 tops for $5+ each! *Happy*

Also personalised a T-shirt for my nephew :) i think the person who inked the alphabets onto the t-shirt is quite amazing. How he can stamp and overlap 2 layers of the ink so nicely on the cloth without misalignment?
And it's darn cheap. 120 baht (SGD 4+)
 photo 29_zpscc8cc9f4.jpg
Customised 2 passport holders, hehe
 photo 29a_zps7fa1433b.jpg
Nice right? haha...
It looks like this on the inside.
 photo 29c_zps8d8fed16.jpg

We had something like Roti Prata with banana and chocolate. it's darn oily but tasty, haha
 photo 28e_zps2a53b8de.jpg
Condensed milk is dripped on it too.
 photo 29b_zps7eb3d6da.jpg
It suddenly started drizzling so we quickened our steps back to the hotel. Thankfully, our hotel was just around the corner at the next lane.

Day 3 :)
Woke up earlier for hotel's breakfast :)
 photo 31_zps83e33176.jpg
The omelette was really good which is not in this photo, haha... Missed out on the cereal though.

We went shopping at Platinum mall again and met one of Sam's friends, N.
We had ice-cream float at Swensens before heading to the wanton mee stall again. Yums!
This time round, Sam had pig trotters rice. He fed me 2 mouths of it which was darn delicious, heh...

After lunch, we went on separate ways. We were going to Siam Paragon, cos my sis-in-law wanted something from Innit. Some Thai designer shop. You can check out 'innitbangkok' on instagram. They got 20k+ followers haha...

Me on BTS platform with my Naraya bag.
 photo 31a_zpsc4617b5b.jpg
Talking about Naraya, i visited 3 different shops (1 at Central world, 1 at Siam Paragon and 1 at Asiatique).
Sam cannot understand all the hype about Naraya cos he reckons the designs are hideous. And is bewildered by the fact that all Naraya shops are sooooo crowded with tourists snapping the ugly bags up.....  but i still wanna buy. Lol

When walking to Siam square, we found this!!!
Mango Tango, haha..
 photo 36_zps94a89d03.jpg
when we came here last year, Mango Tango was at another location. Now, it's in 2 different containers, haha.. One to order your dessert, the other to sit-in and enjoy your mango.
 photo 37_zps789d3012.jpg
While waiting for our mango desserts..
 photo 32_zps285d6462.jpg
Love this photo hehe..
 photo 68_zps11ff3d71.jpg

 photo 33_zps61715a6c.jpg
Really meh?
I thought mangoes are so heaty. Eat one a day confirm keep going to see doctor de lor.

My mango sago. Not a fan of mangoes, but love sago!
 photo 34_zps2163838a.jpg
Sam had this. Fresh mango, sticky rice (it was really nice!), mango pudding and a scoop of mango ice-cream :p
 photo 35_zpsddfcd49d.jpg

After our desserts, we went in search for the shop, Innit.
It is in the middle of Siam Square Soi 2, level 2.

I didn't know their clothes are so expensive, omg.
The top my sis-in-law asked me to buy, i got a similar piece from Platinum mall for only $10 the year before. But this was selling for 2,950 baht (S$115)!
 photo 38_zpsc5424f06.jpg
She didn't reply me on whatsapp so we left the shop. But came back to buy it 2 days later since we were around the vicinity, haha..
Sis-in-law says it's handmade or something, thus the price.
But i really don't understand the hype about this innit too, haha.. like how my boyfriend doesn't understand Naraya =/
but i agree that this top is nice. maybe not for the costly price-tag

We went back to the hotel to drop our shopping loot and headed out to Asiatique The Waterfront.
Asiatique is actually a riverside night market.
We took the BTS to Saphan Taksin station before going on a free boat ride across the river.
 photo 39_zps8eb765c0.jpg photo 40_zpsd9e1f282.jpg

There isn't much things over at Asiatique. We had some Thai cuisine.
Curried fish cake again!
 photo 43_zps6453d4cb.jpg
Sambal stir-fried morning glory (kang kong) again!
 photo 44_zps9485a251.jpg
Sam's Pad-thai a.g.a.i.n.
 photo 46_zps56303eff.jpg
I also keep ordering tom-yum soup for almost every meal. but he more jialat. Pad-thai for all meals (if he is not having it, it only means the restaurant doesn't sell it). haha

Tom yum soup
 photo 45_zps98a45c6c.jpg
The presentation is just weird.

I was still laughing at the other table who ordered this before us, and i asked Sam whether it's a dish or isst people finish eating the prawns liao throw the shell into the coconut.....until the waitress came over and placed the exact same dish on our table -_-

NARAYA, wahahaha....
 photo 47a_zps189270ab.jpg

Pardon my shagged face. Focus on Naraya's newest limited edition design, the strawberry tote bag i've gotten!
 photo 71b_zps3db7358b.jpg
This is the only design Sam said "Pass". It's really cute, haha...

F came to Asiatique and we shopped around the stalls before heading back home on a cab cos it started drizzling again. We bought some tidbits like my favourite Tao Kae Noi Tom Yum Goong seaweed and his Glico Pocky Choco Banana biscuit sticks.

We alighted at Pratunam market. We bought street snacks like Satay and chicken rice together with some beer back for supper.
Sam's favourite satay stall just opposite Amari watergate hotel, which is very near to our hotel as well.
 photo 59_zpsb4a11f65.jpg

The EXTREMELY delicious chicken rice. 60 baht ($2.30) for the big portion and 40 baht ($1.50) for the small one. SLURP! We had this 2 nights in a row, haha... very unhealthy.
 photo 60_zps65fd556d.jpg

Got 2 keychains for our friends.
 photo 61_zps6cd28727.jpg
Very pretty right?? It is the same stall that we got our passport holders :) i think the girls will love it! Can't wait to pass it to them, hehe..
It then started raining quite heavily and we ran back to our hotel with all our food. YUMMY

Day 4
After breakfast, we went shopping again.
Bought some jerseys, haha... Sam wears them for his weekly soccer games.
i also got one jersey of the football club he's rooting for- Arsenal. Lol.
i know nuts about soccer but boyfriend loves it.

We then went to Platinum to shop again and eat crepe! This time Sam got his work ties as well as my clothes. I got 2 high-waisted skorts, one baseball tee and one pullover. That's about all i got.
Oh yah, i also bought 2 boxer shorts from a roadside stall at $2+ each.

We went back hotel to unload our shopping bags (that's the advantage of staying so near to platinum mall, hehe) and i took this photo in the hotel's bathroom to send to bff, Esther. I ask her want buy Naraya anot, wahaha..
 photo 47_zps765484fb.jpg

After that, we took the Tuk Tuk to Nana for Sam's second fitting at the tailor. He doesn't understand why i wanna sit the Tuk Tuk when the air so polluted by the congested traffic.
 photo 48_zps0f417c69.jpg
i like.

After fitting, we took the BTS to Chit Lom and walked to Erwan Shrine.
After that, we attempted to walk to Siam. Stopped by Central Embassy. Some very atas mall that sells branded stuff.
 photo 49_zps4fa26bfc.jpg

Cute gigantic Harrods bear.
 photo 50_zps145906bb.jpg

Blur de photo but still posting it up. Bear in Scottish tartan skirt.
 photo 51_zpsd6ab44e4.jpg

We ended up taking the BTS to Siam because it was just too far...
We had Mango Tango again and went to Innit again to buy the top for my sis-in-law. Lol..

Lunch was at Somtam (aka. Papaya Salad)
 photo 57_zpsfb553d83.jpg

Crispy fried chicken
 photo 53_zps1018ca93.jpg

I wanted to eat fried fish again. I had this last year here too..
 photo 54_zps6764dc63.jpg

As usual, Sam's P_ _-T_ _ _ (fill in the blanks). haha
 photo 55_zps24477957.jpg

Somtam. This place is famous for their papaya salad. We ordered the original one with shrimp. But it was spicy and sour. I'm not a fan of unripe papaya / mango.
 photo 56_zps7a76acfa.jpg
 photo 52_zps5f9c36f9.jpg

After dinner, we went walking around Siam centre, paragon (got my Naraya bags again for the 3rd time, haha) and headed back to Nana at night to collect Sam's clothes from the tailor.
The suit which fitted so nicely ^^
 photo 58_zps0a6c9b37.jpg
The rest of the shirts were good except for one which the tailor didn't sew properly, no choice had to alter and only send via airmail back to Singapore, cos it's our last night here in bkk.

We wanted to go to Chinatown to eat bird's nest but it started pouring :(
So we bought supper, headed back to the hotel to pack our luggage.

Last night liao, must do a shot like this every time. (p.s. I purposely take until the bathroom there cos i wanna remind u again that the shower area is mad love! Must show-off! haha)
 photo 61b_zps9721097f.jpg

Close up of my loot... (actually not much)

 photo 61c_zpseac49de2.jpg

Day 5
We woke early at 7am cos we wanted to go Chinatown to buy some local food produce.

After breakfast, we took some photos at the outdoor seating area cos it's our last day. Don't take no more chance liao..
 photo 62_zpsb6d8c8d6.jpg

 photo 64_zps163b02d9.jpg
 photo 63_zpsa5553d2e.jpg

Time to go Chinatown!
It was quite hard to get cab drivers who were willing to go by meter. If we met those honest drivers who were okay to charge by the meter, we usually gave them more $ to show our appreciation.

We wanted to come back to freshen up before check out cos our flight was at 8.05pm. We requested for late check out at 1pm :)
After we checked out of Centara, it was last minute shopping again. I bought one ah-ma top from the street shops for my grandma :)
We went back Platinum mall. Hahaha.. keep going platinum mall.. and yup, we had Crepe again. omg.... we kept eating fattening food. Go back Singapore must diet liao..

Sam got 3 more tees and i got another 2 more skorts.

Also got these japanese Le Sucre stuffed bunnies, hehe... Singapore sell very expensive lor...
 photo 65_zpsfb27c15e.jpg
Last year, i missed buying them. This year, i'm gonna get them. You need to buy 3 in order to get them at wholesale prices.
Wholesale price also not cheap lor. Usual price was $15 each, wholesale price is $9.50 for the big one and $7 for the smaller one. I gave the small one to Sam despite how reluctant he was. haha...
i also dunno i buy these for what. But they certainly can remind me of our AWESOME bangkok trip!! :)

Yeah. That's all.

I've spent 9 hours blogging. haha.. Well done.
back to work tomorrow. darn it.
