Have you visited City Square Mall at Farrer Park before?

It's one of boyfriend's and my favourite hangout places in Singapore because it's abit 冷门 one, haha..
Usually, we hang out there on Sundays to relax when we need a breather from crowded..everywhere else.
We love coming here to drink the Gong-Cha especially, haha!

Photobucket

NOW, there's ONE MORE GOOD REASON to come here!! :D

Guess what?

Photobucket
teehehee :D

Yes! Golden Village just launched their 11th cinema location here this month! *HAPPINESS*

And the best part was, we could be here to experience the new theatre first hand!! ALL THANKS TO OMY.SG! :D
Thanks for the Twilight movie premiere tickets!!!! YAY
Photobucket
Yay, Twilight!
Photobucket
Photobucket

Not true that cos they gave me free movie tickets then i say nice things about them... BUT it's true that their digital screens project the images clearer leh!!
Photobucket

And one part that i love about this place other than the super comfy seats are these....
Photobucket
BIN IT bins! haha.. no more excuse to leave our empty popcorn boxes / drinks lying around after the movie, haha

Anyway, that day we were lucky cos we managed to catch the cast from the AhBoys to Men movie! haha.. the young boys are so funny and cute. Noah got the most fangirls, lol!
Photobucket

Thank you OMY.SG once again for the invites!!! :D

I'm typing this entry with some kind of mixed feelings inside.

Firstly, there is advanced Monday blues, haha... cos today marks the end of my 3-week BLOCK LEAVE!!! *cries*
Tomorrow i'm going back to work :(
Why does time fly so quickly? 3 weeks so fast over liao mehh???? i wish i'm back in Krabi with the sun and sand. arghhhhh.... i miss Krabi :(

Secondly, there will be major changes at work.
I rarely blog about work... cos i prefer work and my personal life (blog) separate.
i also don't wish my colleagues know i have a blog and read it, haha... i don't know, i always find it very awkward to talk to people who reads my blog. i will feel very paiseh.
Dunno leh, it's weird when they know so much about me even before i open my mouth to say anything, keke....
Even boyfriend, i sometimes hallucinate that he doesn't read my blog, haha.... but he's one major fan -_-

Sorry to digress so much. Tonight i'm in a verbal diarrhoea mood.
Where was i...

Oh yah, work.
i'm blogging about work cos... it will soon no longer be 'work' anymore.
cos
Come December, my boss will not be my boss :(
my big boss will also not be my big boss :(
my colleagues and i will no longer be in the same team anymore :(

I'M SUPER ULTRA SAD.
and i will be the only one with no company :*(
my colleagues will be with their branch mates, but since there's only one of me in my branch, i will have no friends to go to the new team with :(

Last Friday, we had our last district gathering at PartyWorld Liang Court.
The theme was "Back to School" and as the name suggests, all must be in school uniforms.

Some of my colleagues had their sec / JC uniforms still with them, some went to buy, some borrowed.
I borrowed a uniform from my cousin who just graduated from her secondary school, haha..

St. Margaret's Girls
Photobucket
it fitted nicely, haha

Some girls from our district

With one of the teams' branch manager..
Photobucket
She was so nice..
She came and specifically told me that if i'm feeling down or what in future, i can always call her and the other managers for support and help. And that they will always be there for me :)
i hear liao so touched.. T_T and became emo after that, aha.. i think they know my character too well. haha.. cos i'm not an out-spoken person and very shy to stand up for myself. usually i suffer in silence, keke..

i hope God will take care of me. i'm sure He will.

I'm trying to 'brainwash' and motivate myself.
Cos my actual feelings for Dec is that i'm totally not looking forward at all.
i heard alot of 'stories' and i'm hoping they are not as bad as it seems.

i also know that with my current state of mind, i won't be able to give my best. So i'm trying to motivate myself so that in Dec, i will be fully charged up and ready to meet any challenge.
I pray to God for strength and wisdom. Please bless me!!

It's the last week of my 3-week block leave!!!!

SOB SOB T_T

The last 2 days have been devoted to shopping with 2 ladies.
Esther babe and my aunt, haha..

Esther and i found the coolest place to shop now, haha..
It's Forever 21 at Somerset 313.
4 whole levels, haha... Dont tell me we are outdated!
Photobucket
No need to be 21 years old to shop here!

We have not been shopping in the F21 store for a few years, we were surprised to find out how affordable their stuff has become!
They are even cheaper than Cotton On.
Don't believe? haha

I don't know what exactly happened to F21 but when it first came to Singapore many years back, their stuff wasn't that cheap. Probably on par with Topshop?

Now, guess how much one of these spaghetti strap tops cost?
Photobucket
5 bucks! haha
And it's not those very thin / sheer material kind. :)
i got the denim shorts too! $20 over :)

Esther finding a pair too, hehe
Photobucket

We were contemplating between a pink or blue sweater..
Photobucket
Photobucket
I ended up buying neither, keke... cos i have so many of such long sleeved tops at home. Plus, cannot wear to work :(
So i decided to give it a miss.
Esther got the pink one though, hehe :)

After that, we headed to Zara.
The gal tried on this knitted sweater with a woollen hood. It's really cute but very expensive. She was really tempted to buy it, haha... i'm not sure if she has returned to the store to get it these few days though. hehe
Photobucket

An office dress with a leather peplum which i tried.
Photobucket
i was secretly hoping it would not look good... cos it was really expensive. Almost 90 bucks.

And i was soooo relieved that i didn't look that good in it! hehe... or else, think my pocket will burn a big hole :(

After that, it was a very late dinner at Cineleisure's Pastamania.
Esther with her Creamy Chicken
Photobucket

My all-time favourite Vongole. It didn't taste good that night though..
Photobucket

The next day was Shopping again with my aunt.
Haven't met up with her for the longest time ;(
No pics though, cos we were busy shopping, hehe!!

I wanted to buy this make-up palette from Sephora and aunt insisted to pay for it. I felt so bad cos i'm already working, i shouldn't even accept it. But she said it would be her Christmas present for me!

i feel so touched and happy :))
Photobucket
A handy Make-up palette from Sephora :)
Photobucket
It has a little in-built mirror :D
Photobucket
Look at the number of eye shadows and eyeliners!
Photobucket
Blushers and bronzers.
Photobucket
Lip glosses :p
Photobucket
Honestly, I felt like a little girl who has received a very pretty toy.
i kept admiring it when i got home.

And my mom came into my bedroom and saw me playing with it. She said something which i really didn't expect.
"I really envy aunt that she can go shopping with you..."

*jaw drops*

dunno.. i felt my heart wrench when i heard my mother say that.

She's my mom and i've not been spending time to go out with her. When i see mothers and daughters going shopping together and being very close, i've always been very, very envious.
Cos it has never been the case for my mother and me. Everytime we went out together, there will bound to be many conflicts i don't know why. Thus, we used to minimise contact so that there won't be any friction.

i think recent years, we've tried to work things out. I know she tried to change her ways too and i appreciate it.
She has never said something so 'emotional' before. And i'm actually surprised.

I guess i have to make a conscious effort too to spend more time with her now.
My 3 weeks leave, is ending. But i start work the day when her sch holidays start :(

Day 3! hehe

15th November 2012 Thursday

It was our 1-Day Phi Phi Island tour! yay... we woke up very early today as the shuttle would be picking us up at the hotel lobby at 8am sharp.
Washed up at 6.30am and HEHE, nice surprise from boyfriend as usual, haha
Photobucket
It says, "Jayden ♥ Peimin" keke....

We rushed downstairs for our hotel breakfast at 7.40am and there really wasn't much time to spare.

When we reached the lobby at 8 sharp, the guide was already there.
There was an angmoh family who went together with us on the same trip.
Reached AoNang beach and waited for what seemed like ages -_- before we boarded the speedboat.

very fatty-face me :(
Photobucket
Today we swathed ourselves with SUNBLOCK!!!!!
but too late already la.... already chao-tah liao...

AoNang beach in the morning...
Photobucket
The beach as compared to Klong Muang beach is dirtier. Got grease. Maybe cos it is assessed by too many tourists. The wet sand / mud will stick to the slippers!
Photobucket

At 9am, we finally got onto our speed boat.
It was crowded!!! and we sat back to back with other passengers. Not the roomy kind, but it was very, very squeezy.
Photobucket
More tourists boarding the boat. There were 30+ of us in there. Photobucket
YAY! Finally set off!
Photobucket

Our 1st stop was Bamboo Island.
I love this place cos it's so clean and there weren't many people around.
Fine beach with clear blue waters :)
Photobucket
we were each given our snorkeling masks.
Boyfriend and i have not tried snorkeling before..it's our first time. We don't even know how to place our mouth piece, haha

Me trying to fix the mask properly. By right, you can't breathe with your nose with the mask on. No air will go into your nose one. haha
Photobucket
Actually this place is not suited for snorkeling... but we just try to practise it here, keke...
Photobucket

Boyfriend happily jumped into the sea first while i was still trying to locate him :(
Photobucket
Poseur me! wahaha...
Photobucket
He took all these candid photos of me, haha...
Photobucket
Photobucket

Scaredy cat me. yes i was quite scared.
Photobucket
i keep shouting to Jayden not to go too far out into the sea cos i cannot lose him :s
Photobucket
There was this very big wave that came and washed us up to the shore! Very painful cos there were many pieces of corals on the sand that poked us. haha

Took a photo on shore.
Photobucket

After 40 minutes, we went back to the speedboat where it took us to Viking cave.
Photobucket
This is under construction?? Some bird nest cave... or they just didn't want us to enter and disturb the swallows.
Photobucket

On the way, we saw people snorkeling from their taiboats
Photobucket
clear waters!
Photobucket

Reached Maya Bay.. This was the location for the Hollywood film "The Beach".
Photobucket
this place is quite nice too....
Photobucket
it was super crowded here...
Photobucket
Dear taking a rest in the shade.
Photobucket

Next stopover was Phi Phi Don Island.
We had our Buffet lunch here and 45 minutes of shopping around.
Photobucket
Checked out the beach here... we reckoned we had enough of the sun..... very buay tahan. The heat was scorching on our already roasted bodies.
Photobucket

The next 2 stops were snorkeling stops...
Water is really clear and can you see clownfish swimming inside? :D
Photobucket
i put on the life jacket and went into the sea, BUT I FREAKED OUT!
haha... i'm always very afraid of water since young cos nearly drowned before, haha.

Plus the current was rather strong, i thought i was going to be swept under the speedboat... so i hung onto the rope for dear life.
End up, i chickened out and went back onto the boat. keke...
Boyfriend even more scared than me, haha.. Maybe cos he saw how frightened i was, he decided that he should just give up the idea of trying snorkeling. He can't trap water he says... so he doesn't want to go risk it.

So the scaredy cats us ended up sitting at the deck..
Photobucket Photobucket
It would be good if we could take our time to 'walk' from shore slowly into the deep.
Like that jump in i very scared lor!!!

The boat became very shaky after that and boyfriend got sea-sick... I think it was also due to the prolonged heat and the stuffiness in the speedboat, it was very uncomfortable for him.
I really wouldn't recommend tours like this cos they really sardine-packed tourists onto one boat. I asked around my friends and they too had such encounters.
Not recommended if you're claustrophobic like my boyfriend.
Next time must rent private boat out, haha.. But it WAS an experience.

Reached our 'santuary' at 5pm.
We were sooooo sooo sooooo glad to be back, ahha!
Our paradise
Photobucket
We jumped straight into the swimming pool to cool down!
Photobucket
No chance to use my waterproof camera to take fishes. So take our feet in the pool, haha

After soaking in the pool, we went back to our room to wash up...
Photobucket
I'm trying to cool down the top of my head so that i don't get a heat stroke, heh...
My scalp was sunburnt too! cos my hair too little :( After bathing and applying loads of Aloe Vera gel, we went down for dinner. Photobucket
Nice sunset...
Photobucket Photobucket

We decided our dinner venue to be the Resort restaurant. We were too tired to walk anywhere else. Moreover, it was our last night here... must try the food here.
Photobucket
Boyfriend ordering food.
Photobucket
:)
Photobucket

There were mozzies around, so we changed to sit near the swimming pool instead.
Photobucket
Romantic right? hahaa
Photobucket
But there were mozzies here too!!! kena many bites so we adjourned to the indoors.
The waiter handed us Insect repellant and kept apologising for the mosquitos, haha.. so cute. Not your fault la...

In my opinion, the best dinner of the trip :)
Photobucket Photobucket
How can i not have another bowl of Tom Yum soup? LOL
Photobucket
SLURPPPPP!!!!! the spiciest of all the tom yum soups i have had during the trip!

After dinner, we explored the vicinity of the resort. As in OUTSIDE the resort.
We booked our Airport transfer for next day for 700THB at the Taxi Station just opposite the resort and walked like 1km to and fro to nothingness, haha... No shops one lor! Just a few simple bars along the way. And the bars are like in the local's own backyard kind.. keke...
and just many many many trees and bushes along the way with limited street lamps.

Saw something we will never experience in Singapore.
Photobucket
After that, we headed back for a good night's rest.

16th November 2012 Friday

It was our last day in Krabi! :(
sad. Initially, we planned to sleep in late till 9+ since we're going to check out at 12pm.. won't have anything much to do.
End up we both woke up earlier at 7am and had breakfast :)

Dear's plate
Photobucket
Mine!
Photobucket
i know we eat so little, haha...
My daily dose of plain yogurt! My favourite!!!
Photobucket

I just can't stop snapping photos of the same place over and over again, hahaa...
Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket
:)
Photobucket
wanna see how red my shoulders and back was????

don't say you have not been warned.....
..
..
...
Photobucket
GAWD!
yes, it was burning :'( and a slightest touch is painful! Even the crochet portion of my blouse makes my skin painful!

(It's now less painful after 3 days..)

Our signature last-day hotel room shots, haha
Photobucket Photobucket
we packed our luggages and went out to shop! We wanted to go the night before, but the road was too dark we didn't dare venture too far.
Photobucket
After half an hour of walking....UNDER THE GLARING SUN.... (we were smart to bring along umbrellas and bottles of cold mineral water! Hehe), we reached Klong Muang Plaza.
Photobucket Photobucket
Limited shops. Not open somemore.
We bought Thai souvenirs for our folks. I got elephant keychains and coin pouches for my colleagues. Plus some incense... the aromatherapy kind for my folks.
Photobucket
Really nothing much to shop. Don't even have clothes lor. The prices are rather standard, i would say.

We walked until we perspire like mad!!!!! it was crazy! we walked for 1.5 hours lor, haha.. and heng we passed by a shop selling T-shirts!
Boyfriend bought a singlet and a T-shirt to change into.

I got a Chang Beer singlet :p
Photobucket
Boyfriend's Singha Beer T-shirt
Photobucket

Took one last photo at our Villa staircase. 2292! :)
Photobucket

One last photo (haha!) before the Taxi came and drove us to the airport.
Photobucket

Bye bye BEYOND RESORT KRABI & beach~!!!!!!!!!
I WILL MISS YOU SO MUCH!!!!!

We had a simple lunch at Krabi Airport. One of the small stalls there.
Photobucket
Baby's beef burger. Beef again, haha!
Photobucket
My cup noodles! yum yum... No, not Tom Yum flavour, ahaa...
Photobucket
Krabi Airport waiting area before boarding the plane.
Photobucket
Sunlight makes it hard for us to open our eyes.
Photobucket

Getting abit fed up with the sun, hahaa... i feel like shouting to the sun, "Enough liao hah sun! Enough liao ar!"

YAY!
Photobucket
sunset, hehe:)
Photobucket
We're reaching Singapore! yay
Photobucket
Look at the dark clouds looming over our MBS, keke... there was a slight drizzle i think. But the view from the plane overlooking our small island is amazing!
It is one of those times i feel really, really proud of Singapore.
I always imagine i'm some tourist flying to Singapore and seeing such scenery from the plane. SO PROUD RIGHT? :DD hahaa..
Photobucket
even the flats all the same... standard height one. and everything is so structured (dunno is good or bad lar..)
Photobucket

Yeah, that's all folks, haha...
Hope you've enjoyed reading through my Krabi posts ;)
:D lol
