Day 3! hehe
15th November 2012 Thursday
It was our 1-Day Phi Phi Island tour! yay... we woke up very early today as the shuttle would be picking us up at the hotel lobby at 8am sharp.
Washed up at 6.30am and HEHE, nice surprise from boyfriend as usual, haha
It says, "Jayden ♥ Peimin" keke....
We rushed downstairs for our hotel breakfast at 7.40am and there really wasn't much time to spare.
When we reached the lobby at 8 sharp, the guide was already there.
There was an angmoh family who went together with us on the same trip.
Reached AoNang beach and waited for what seemed like ages -_- before we boarded the speedboat.
very fatty-face me :(

Today we swathed ourselves with SUNBLOCK!!!!!
but too late already la.... already chao-tah liao...
AoNang beach in the morning...

The beach as compared to Klong Muang beach is dirtier. Got grease. Maybe cos it is assessed by too many tourists. The wet sand / mud will stick to the slippers!
At 9am, we finally got onto our speed boat.
It was crowded!!! and we sat back to back with other passengers. Not the roomy kind, but it was very, very squeezy.

More tourists boarding the boat. There were 30+ of us in there.

YAY! Finally set off!
Our 1st stop was Bamboo Island.
I love this place cos it's so clean and there weren't many people around.
Fine beach with clear blue waters :)

we were each given our snorkeling masks.
Boyfriend and i have not tried snorkeling before..it's our first time. We don't even know how to place our mouth piece, haha
Me trying to fix the mask properly. By right, you can't breathe with your nose with the mask on. No air will go into your nose one. haha

Actually this place is not suited for snorkeling... but we just try to practise it here, keke...
Boyfriend happily jumped into the sea first while i was still trying to locate him :(

Poseur me! wahaha...

He took all these candid photos of me, haha...
Scaredy cat me. yes i was quite scared.

i keep shouting to Jayden not to go too far out into the sea cos i cannot lose him :s

There was this very big wave that came and washed us up to the shore! Very painful cos there were many pieces of corals on the sand that poked us. haha
Took a photo on shore.
After 40 minutes, we went back to the speedboat where it took us to Viking cave.

This is under construction?? Some bird nest cave... or they just didn't want us to enter and disturb the swallows.
On the way, we saw people snorkeling from their taiboats
clear waters!
Reached Maya Bay.. This was the location for the Hollywood film "The Beach".

this place is quite nice too....

it was super crowded here...

Dear taking a rest in the shade.
Next stopover was Phi Phi Don Island.
We had our Buffet lunch here and 45 minutes of shopping around.

Checked out the beach here... we reckoned we had enough of the sun..... very buay tahan. The heat was scorching on our already roasted bodies.
The next 2 stops were snorkeling stops...
Water is really clear and can you see clownfish swimming inside? :D

i put on the life jacket and went into the sea, BUT I FREAKED OUT!
haha... i'm always very afraid of water since young cos nearly drowned before, haha.
Plus the current was rather strong, i thought i was going to be swept under the speedboat... so i hung onto the rope for dear life.
End up, i chickened out and went back onto the boat. keke...
Boyfriend even more scared than me, haha.. Maybe cos he saw how frightened i was, he decided that he should just give up the idea of trying snorkeling. He can't trap water he says... so he doesn't want to go risk it.
So the scaredy cats us ended up sitting at the deck..
It would be good if we could take our time to 'walk' from shore slowly into the deep.
Like that jump in i very scared lor!!!
The boat became very shaky after that and boyfriend got sea-sick... I think it was also due to the prolonged heat and the stuffiness in the speedboat, it was very uncomfortable for him.
I really wouldn't recommend tours like this cos they really sardine-packed tourists onto one boat. I asked around my friends and they too had such encounters.
Not recommended if you're claustrophobic like my boyfriend.
Next time must rent private boat out, haha.. But it WAS an experience.
Reached our 'santuary' at 5pm.
We were sooooo sooo sooooo glad to be back, ahha!
Our paradise
We jumped straight into the swimming pool to cool down!

No chance to use my waterproof camera to take fishes. So take our feet in the pool, haha
After soaking in the pool, we went back to our room to wash up...
I'm trying to cool down the top of my head so that i don't get a heat stroke, heh...
My scalp was sunburnt too! cos my hair too little :(
After bathing and applying loads of Aloe Vera gel, we went down for dinner.

Nice sunset...
We decided our dinner venue to be the Resort restaurant. We were too tired to walk anywhere else. Moreover, it was our last night here... must try the food here.

Boyfriend ordering food.

:)
There were mozzies around, so we changed to sit near the swimming pool instead.

Romantic right? hahaa

But there were mozzies here too!!! kena many bites so we adjourned to the indoors.
The waiter handed us Insect repellant and kept apologising for the mosquitos, haha.. so cute. Not your fault la...
In my opinion, the best dinner of the trip :)

How can i not have another bowl of Tom Yum soup? LOL
SLURPPPPP!!!!! the spiciest of all the tom yum soups i have had during the trip!
After dinner, we explored the vicinity of the resort. As in OUTSIDE the resort.
We booked our Airport transfer for next day for 700THB at the Taxi Station just opposite the resort and walked like 1km to and fro to nothingness, haha... No shops one lor! Just a few simple bars along the way. And the bars are like in the local's own backyard kind.. keke...
and just many many many trees and bushes along the way with limited street lamps.
Saw something we will never experience in Singapore.
After that, we headed back for a good night's rest.
16th November 2012 Friday
It was our last day in Krabi! :(
sad. Initially, we planned to sleep in late till 9+ since we're going to check out at 12pm.. won't have anything much to do.
End up we both woke up earlier at 7am and had breakfast :)
Dear's plate

Mine!

i know we eat so little, haha...
My daily dose of plain yogurt! My favourite!!!
I just can't stop snapping photos of the same place over and over again, hahaa...

:)

wanna see how red my shoulders and back was????
don't say you have not been warned.....
..
..
...

GAWD!
yes, it was burning :'( and a slightest touch is painful! Even the crochet portion of my blouse makes my skin painful!
(It's now less painful after 3 days..)
Our signature last-day hotel room shots, haha

we packed our luggages and went out to shop!
We wanted to go the night before, but the road was too dark we didn't dare venture too far.

After half an hour of walking....UNDER THE GLARING SUN.... (we were smart to bring along umbrellas and bottles of cold mineral water! Hehe), we reached Klong Muang Plaza.

Limited shops. Not open somemore.
We bought Thai souvenirs for our folks. I got elephant keychains and coin pouches for my colleagues. Plus some incense... the aromatherapy kind for my folks.

Really nothing much to shop. Don't even have clothes lor. The prices are rather standard, i would say.
We walked until we perspire like mad!!!!! it was crazy! we walked for 1.5 hours lor, haha.. and heng we passed by a shop selling T-shirts!
Boyfriend bought a singlet and a T-shirt to change into.
I got a Chang Beer singlet :p

Boyfriend's Singha Beer T-shirt
Took one last photo at our Villa staircase. 2292! :)
One last photo (haha!) before the Taxi came and drove us to the airport.
Bye bye BEYOND RESORT KRABI & beach~!!!!!!!!!
♥
I WILL MISS YOU SO MUCH!!!!!
We had a simple lunch at Krabi Airport. One of the small stalls there.

Baby's beef burger. Beef again, haha!

My cup noodles! yum yum... No, not Tom Yum flavour, ahaa...

Krabi Airport waiting area before boarding the plane.
Sunlight makes it hard for us to open our eyes.
Getting abit fed up with the sun, hahaa... i feel like shouting to the sun, "Enough liao hah sun! Enough liao ar!"
YAY!

sunset, hehe:)

We're reaching Singapore! yay

Look at the dark clouds looming over our MBS, keke... there was a slight drizzle i think. But the view from the plane overlooking our small island is amazing!
It is one of those times i feel really, really proud of Singapore.
I always imagine i'm some tourist flying to Singapore and seeing such scenery from the plane. SO PROUD RIGHT? :DD hahaa..

even the flats all the same... standard height one. and everything is so structured (dunno is good or bad lar..)
Yeah, that's all folks, haha...
Hope you've enjoyed reading through my Krabi posts ;)
:D lol
