The other time when TDF was on my Nuffnang ad banner, i clicked on it and it led me to a free sample of their AHA facial wash.

Boyfriend is a firm believer of AHA so i gave that precious tiny bottle of 12ml sample to him.
He just chucked it somewhere in his drawer until one day, he ran out of facial wash, he took it out and used it.
He was surprised to find that it was good..as in there was this glow on his face after he used it. So he did some online research on it and found out that only hospitals / pharmacies and skin clinics carry them.
u can't really buy them over the counter kind..well, i dunno if that's their marketing strategy or what, cos people just have the belief that products which cant be bought over the counter are very effective one. Feels very medical, so must be good. haha
Maybe cos it's AHA and cannot anyhow use too much, so need the pharmacist to check the sensitivity of your skin etc la..

So we went Guardian pharmacy one weekday evening to check it out. We bought 2 Starter kits! One for me, one for him. We both have very acne-prone skin.. so hopefully this is good to improve our complexion.

Can see my pimples clearing out and complexion is clearer. Dunno if it'll be lasting (hopefully!) but i'm wishing scars lighten quickly and skin will be smoother.

I mentioned about buying a new blusher from Benefit in my previous entry, but didn't elaborate on it cos that post was solely for the birthday boy. Though i was dying to blog about the new love, i had to restrain myself, haha..

My new blusher from Benefit!!!


i tried Dandelion, fell in love with it.
After that, i tried SugarBomb and ditched Dandelion.
NOW, this is the new love, wahahaha...

Dandelion looks natural cos it's in the lightest shade of pink.. but somehow, SugarBomb adds a little more life and rosiness to the cheeks.
But the thing with Sugarbomb was that it's in 4 different shades of pink, and usually i'll skip the orangey and brownish pink.. so abit wasted cos i only used like half of the entire blusher.

I have been thinking whether to buy back Dandelion but was wishing for something a little more intense. As in the colour.

Bella bamba looks very deep pink in real life, but it's quite subtle when applied.

The salesgirl was really nice, cos she helped brush some on my cheeks. Usually i'll never let a salesgirl try any make-up on my face.. cos i scared later turn out ugly i duno where to remove.
BUT I WAS SO GLAD I DID! haha! She just lightly swept some over my cheeks and this Bella bamba immediately brightens up my complexion!!

wow! i was totally bowed over and decided to get it straight away. lol

i know abit kua zhang la, but i was darn happy.
I just love Benefit blushers, cos u can happily apply alot and it still wont look clownish.
cos some blushers once brush abit too much, will look like wayang already.. very scary.
Of cos, still must find the shade which suits your complexion.

Monday was Jayden's birthday :)

i was darn happy when i could get half of the day OFF from work to celebrate with the boy.
hehe...

My plan was to go Orchard with the $500 Takashimaya vouchers and shop till our hearts' content!!
Boyfriend was in an extremely good mood cos he's passed his paper that morning. Though he slept only 4 hours the night before, he still accompanied me to town for shopping. haha!! thanks dear, it's ur birthday but u still acceded to my request, heh!
But my plan was for us to go for a one-day bling shopping which i'm sure he would love.. And he did!! :D

We spent the whole afternoon in Takashimaya shopping centre and bought so many stuff!! It has been sooooo long since we shopped like this. In fact, i think we never did that.. as in, not having to worry about budget or forking out money, cos the vouchers are free! YAY!!

Boyfriend bought many pairs of socks for work, leisure, sports etc.. A pair of really nice work pants and some boxers, haha.. he was darn happy lor!
i bought myself a blusher from Benefit! yay, a jacket and some stationery.
We also bought for our mothers each a wallet from BONIA, haha..
aunties love BONIA. lol

Venus, one of my blog readers who was stationed in Japan, sent some really pretty gifts over to Singapore!
omg.. hehe.. she was one of the readers who always leave very nice messages over at my tagbox.

Her husband who returned to Singapore for a short business trip brought the gifts over to me! I was so so so so so touched!!! Seriously!
How come the world got such nice people one, haha

And i've never met her in person before!

It was one weekday last week that we arranged to pick the gifts up from her husband. Boyfriend went along with me.

I didn't have anything really nice to return the favour (cos singapore's stuff also not as kawaii as japan's haha..), i decided i would hand make something for her instead.

Was shopping at Daiso last weekend and came across DIY metal frames for purses.
They are so cute! i wanted to sew a purse for her!
I'm not very good in sewing too, so i reckon i could cut ready-made cloth from cute candy socks instead, haha

Just nice for the frame :)

but hor, sew liao become squashed!

Being persuaded by the fact that wearing coloured contact lens bought online may pose dangerous consequences, i decided that i should get myself a pair of spectacles.

Maybe i need to wear glasses more often now. cos sometimes eyes feel a little dry, and i think my myopia went up already.
And i was right!
i got such a shock when the optician told me it has gone up a hundred degrees after the eye-test!
I thought when we get older, our degrees somehow stabilize and won't increase that much already.
Maybe cos i didn't take care of my eyes properly and also, wearing contact lens for prolonged periods of time.

My last pair of spectacles was done in 200....damn i can't remember!
but it was definitely more than 5 years ago, heh..

i visited an optical shop in NEX to get my eyes tested as well as to get a new pair of glasses. Digression: i just super love NEX, wahahha... cos it's so convenient :D

The optician told me that my right eye went up a hundred degrees but the myopia in my left eye didn't really increase. She said my right is the lazier one, which means i relied more on my left eye to see. So the left eye works harder.

Moral of the story: If we are lazy, will end up deteriorating, haha..
Kidding la, the optician says it's not like that.

Anyway, to cut the story short,

This is my new pair of specky!! teehehe :D
Plus lens together is $330. It's already more than my budget already.

i actually wanted to get something less than 100 dollars, but my colleagues say, "Less than 100 ar, got... u go outside ShengShiong supermarket find there got sell 老花 ones."
TSK! so bad lor

they say nowadays make spectacles don't have so cheap already. Unless is for kids one.
