omg i miss HK so much :(
HK Trip Day 3 (26th Dec '12)
Good morning 香港!HK Trip Day 3 (26th Dec '12)
:)
Today we are going to The Peak.
Yes, it's a touristy place, but we love it so much to want to visit it again... Mountain is boyfriend's favourite. Other than me, haha
We took the bus up! The queue was already forming at the bus interchange. Weather was very cold today.

Up on board the bus :)

Us on the bus. Arghhh i look so fatty face! :(

The view was awesome!

We are reaching!!

Look how high up we were! Hehe... It was very misty the first couple of days we were in HK. Only when it was the 4th and last day did the weather turn less chilly.

I was feeling very cold :(

I thought wearing the furry babydoll dress would be enough but i was soooo wrong! When the weather is cold, it's important to wear tight fitting inner wear. Cos the cold wind will find its way in through your loose fitting clothes and freeze u to death. haha
I was wearing leggings / stockings throughout. Sometimes i wear a double layer to stay warm.
The wind was so strong and chilly! and i was freezing ahaa..

The first thing i did when i went indoors was to buy a thermal inner top to wear beneath my dress.
Heng i found a cheap one in Baleno, and was quite nice too, haha.. It was selling at a discounted price of HKD 79 (~S$12.50). Something like the Heat-Tech tops you find at Uniquo.
And it warmed me up immediately, hehe... happy :)
Lunch was at this Japanese eatery.
Jayden's beef Bento set, which comes with a miso soup.

My Teriyaki chicken Bento set.

Something to add, The food was super duper yummy! Very flavourful!
Jayden's favourite place, haha... High up in the mountains.

♥♥♥

There is a Wishing Tree indoors.

but it's a wishing tree for mother Earth.
The leaves are all wishes written by people! Boyfriend attaching his leaf onto the 'branch'.

I'm trying to find a good place to hang my leaf, hehe

Jayden helped me to hang mine up cos i was too ambitious to want to hang it very high, but couldn't reach. My leaf says, "God bless our Earth!"

After that, we went into a souvenir shop and bought some gifts.
I got a tiny bonsai for my dad, who loves miniature plants. If you remember this post....
This is a real plant which doesn't need to be watered! I dunno what technology the person who invented this used, and i didn't bother to read through the entire article written in chinese.
I just know this is cute and dad would love it so much, haha..
It costs HKD 259 (~S$41)
Food stuff for our folks. The Dragon beard candy is for ourselves, wahaha...

Took a photo with The Little Prince, hehe...
More photos up at the deck... The sky was really dark and it looked like it was going to rain.

:) Jayden bought his scarf at the shop. We bought 2 at 50 bucks (15 SGD, quite cheap!). It's not a scarf but some kind of headband which was rather versatile. You could use it as a bandana, mask, balaclava etc..

Jayden was trying to capture the panoramic view of the mountains... We kept mixing the words "paranormal" and "panoramic" up. haha.. And ended up saying "paranomic view", keke.... got ghost -_-!

There is this mysterious lake somewhere in the mountains.

Love it here!

Some photographers were charging tourists for professional shots taken.
But we used my camera's self-timer function to take this shot, wahaha...

Self-shots, haha

Next, we went up to another deck where we could see the skyline of Hong Kong CBD.

It was ultra windy up here!!!!!! The wind was so strong that we couldn't even open our eyes.

See my sulky face you know liao, hahaha. i was super angry with the wind lor! cos my hair was all over my face and i couldn't take a single decent shot! :(

Must cover then can

Better..
Leaving the peak...
Taking a signature shot, hehe..
We walked some Morning trail and ended up at a waterfall.

Then, we rested at some bench to eat our Dragon beard candy, hehe

Nom nom nom....
We decided to go back to our hotel to drop our shopping bags cos we wanna explore the New Territories via MTR. So we took the bus back to Hong Kong MTR station to wait for our hotel's shuttle bus.
While on the way back, we checked out iFC Mall at HK station..
More carollers :)

Checked out the movie timings. Too bad there wasn't a show we wanted to see. We were planning to catch The Guillotines 血滴子.

Never mind, we can always catch it somewhere else the next day. Usually new movies will be screened on Thursdays.
On the shuttle back....

Back at our hotel.
Realised i didn't take photos of the hotel's interior till now, haha...

Not too bad lar the inside...

Lift lobby
Took the shuttle bus out after we dropped our stuff in the room. We were going for our dinner, hehe...
This was at some underground 茶餐厅 in Tsim Sha Tsui.
Baby with his beef steak again. But it tastes weird, he claims.

Boyfriend just doesn't understand why i love to eat instant noodles so much... He says it's not nutritious at all and you only eat this when you don't have any other choices.

My 出前一丁with luncheon meat, egg and sotong balls. My favourite, haha..
K11 shopping mall at Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon.

We are going to take the MTR blue and brown lines!

The trains going towards the New Territories are different from the trains running across the city area and Hong Kong island.

We reached Fanling MTR station.
See the shop name, haha....

Fanling Centre is like Sun plaza leh, haha...
If you look at Fanling station on the MTR map, it's very near to ShenZhen, China already. I was quite scared actually, haha... cos i heard Shen Zhen very dangerous one... somemore it was quite late already.

We found another traditional Gui Ling Gao shop!! This 海天堂 seems very popular in HK. There are many branches all over. They even sell their Gui Ling Gao in their convenience stores.

This was one of the encounters which proved that speaking English was better than Chinese when conversing with the locals.
When i tried ordering 2 bowls of jellies using Cantonese, I wasn't sure how to pronounce "Gao" in cantonese so i said "Gao" in Chinese. The stall owner was rather pissed and corrected me curtly, "Gou!" :(
i bet to my last dollar she thought we were mainland chinese, haha..
Cos after that, when we paid for our jellies and asked for the bill in English, the lady's attitude changed immediately lor.. She looked quite surprised and happy. Not i over sensitive or what okay, but i saw her beaming when she watched us leave the shop.
Took the train all the way to the last station on the Brown line.

In the train...

There wasn't much to see here... except a small game arcade and some shophouses.

Baby waiting for the train to take back to Hong Kong island.

Guess that's about all for Day 3, haha..
We're going to Lantau Island on Day 4! Check back real soon! :))
Meanwhile, it's the last day of Year 2012 le.
Wishing all all the best for the new year! :)
