My parents have booked a holiday package to Japan, Hokkaido this December when mom is having her school holidays and me having my block leave. Yay, mega excited :)

We will be heading there with a tour group, my parents and my mom's colleague. Good, like that she can 'entertain' her colleague then and not nag at me, muahahaha~ cos she won't scold me when outsiders are around, hehe

It would be winter and lots of care must be taken in packing the appropriate clothes to bring over. I do not already have a coat or accessories that are suitable for temperatures less than 0°C, so i need to buy them. My mom is sponsoring the inner wear like woollen long john and stuff, so i just have to look out for an outer down coat and boots.

Been window shopping around for the past few days with boyfriend after work and visiting Cold Wear, Isetan, MUJI, Espirt, Mango, Topshop, H&M, Uniqlo, even OG etc...
I mentally noted down the prices and design of each, i personally liked a white down jacket at Cold Wear. It was 239 dollars and my mom was telling me it's slightly costly. The designs at Mango and Espirt were more stylish, but even more expensive, averaging around 250-300+
and i think the best one i found which was cheaper and REALLY PRETTY was at Winter Time :)
It's in the prettiest pink!!!! and has got pink FUR!!!!! and the design is cute!!!! Jayen's pick!
When he saw it, he told me i don't have to look any further, cos this is it, haha.. His taste is the best! haha

Super super love it! and i thought my mom would think it was a good buy cos it's cheaper..... BUT, sigh.... (kena cold blanket again. Details later)

I also bought a pair of black suede boots from H&M and a fleece jacket from Uniqlo
Photobucket
:) Love all my buys

My mom, as usual, started scolding me for buying the pink colour jacket -_-
she says it's too short -_-
I was really upset la. Anything i get, she'll scold first. The other time i told her i wanted to get the one at Cold Wear (it was long by the way), she scolded saying it was too expensive. Now, i thought she would be really happy that i got a cheaper version, she said it's too short. And she can say, she rather i get the more costly one at cold wear -_- I find it so hard to please her!!

For the whole morning she's nagging UNTIL my brother came over for lunch, took a look at my jacket and said, "Aey, it's nice :)"
i told him that mom said it was too short, and he said, "No, it's just nice what... no need so long one la"
So that sort of shut my mom up temporarily. Hng :(

Sigh, i just have to accept that she's like this la... or some of you said, she cares for me in a different way. Last time, i never dared to talk back against her. Now i do. Of cos not rudely (cos she will flare up), but i will dare speak up now. And she will try to control her temper and her 'controlling' ways now, and things are much better now. Once in a while, she'll revert back to her old ways, but yes i know she's trying. Nobody's perfect. At least it comforts me that she's trying to 'make peace' instead of making war nowadays :)

Hopefully the trip this December (like our Hk trip last Dec) will help in gelling us up again ;)

There should actually be a post here cos it's Deepavali yesterday and today is my OFF day.
So i'm supposed to be very free to blog these 2 consecutive days. Unfortunately, there is an exam which i scheduled on my OFF day, so i spent my precious public holiday mugging at home :(

No fun.

Thank God it was all worthwhile when i saw a "Pass" on the certificate. Yay :)
And i went on a shopping spree with Jayen after that :)
Not exactly a shopping spree cos i only bought 2 things, but it was great splurging on something i liked once a month when the pay comes in, hehe
Side track, whenever my salary comes, more than half goes to pay my bills and stuff. SIAN. i make it a point to set aside money that goes to pay off 'debt', and what is left will be my expenses for the month..... which is always very pathetic.

Haha think most Singaporeans are slaves to Pay and Pay. Handphone bills, household, insurance premiums, credit card bills, blah blah blah... can never stop clearing 'debts'.
i can't imagine next time the housing loan come, how.

And things are so expensive now :( Last time, 100 dollars seem like a lot of money. I can buy so many things with a hundred dollar. Now, even 1000 seems so little. Pay and pay, 1000 dollars can easily fly away in a day.
Aiyahhh why the standard of living in Singapore so highhhh?

That's why i'm never tempted to buy branded bags. 2000 - 3000 dollars for one, I think it's a total waste of money! Maybe next time when i have the chance (if ever!) to receive a fat paycheck, i may invest in one to reward myself, hehe
My boss say i must have one sooner or later, cos "it's a package all together". Hmmmm

Sorry i'm in a very talkative mood tonight, haha.

My buy buy today :)
Photobucket
i was thinking of buying a nice perfume cos my current one (not nice one the smell) ran out. The other time i bought Jayen a perfume on Valentine's Day (many years back), it came together with a 'Female' version. The male one was smelling pretty good, but the woman one sucks, haha.. But dont waste ma, so i finished using it still.
Now, i'm damn happy that it has run out.. hehe, so i can buy one that i really like!

We were walking past some booth they set up for this limited edition Marc Jacobs perfume at Raffles City when Jayen was suddenly jolted awake (literally! see how boring i am? haha) by a whiff of perfume. He exclaimed loudly, "什么东西这么香??"

And i knew immediately that i had to buy the perfume, hehe.
Don't you girls do that? That you wanna buy everything that your boyfriend think is nice on you? I do.
And Jayen thinks i 太没有骨气了.

i wanna him to like the smell on me, so the best way is, let him choose my perfume :)

What really got me excited was, it came with a free gift!
A handy tote bag with all the cute badges on it!! Great for dress-down days :)
Photobucket
plus another fragrance miniature, also by Marc Jacobs
Photobucket
The rest of the fragrances doesn't smell nice at all. This smells tooo awfully SWEET for me. Don't like. But since it's free, oh well.
Can still use it on days when i feel especially girly, haha

:)
okay time to sleeep liao :)
Tomorrow is Friday, don't you feel happy already?

Yes, i haven't been so happy for such a long time :)

Guess what lifted our spirits??
Photobucket
Seeing our love nest slowly rising up up up!
:D

Went over to the construction site at Dawson and i was squealing in delight and jumping around when i saw how high they've built the flats till!
Photobucket
baby :)
Photobucket

Took many photos of the site from the 10th floor on the opposite block of flats.
Photobucket
weeeeee~!!!!!

HDB projected it to be completed in year 2016, however, by the look of it, it should be ready in 2013-2014 :D
2 more years, dont tell me cannot finish by then?! We visited here 5 months ago and saw NOTHING up yet. In 5 months, they've built almost 9 storeys!
Photobucket
Nothing can describe how elated we felt! Nothing beats seeing our future house slowly materialising before our eyes :D

This is 1 unit, hehe
Photobucket
Our block!!!! The only block with unblocked view! YAY!!
Photobucket
and could see the double volume loft unit! hehe..

Will be visiting the site after a couple of months later, hopefully we can see our loft by then!!! No, ours not so high up one, haha
cos the high storey ones are freaking expensive!

We just sat at the playground in Alexandra Park, enjoying the breeze and talking about how it would be like in 2 years' time. It was really sweet :)
Soon, it was sundown...
Photobucket
The workers are still hard at work...
Photobucket

We took a direct bus to Clarke Quay and had steamboat at "Streats" HK restaurant @ Liang Court!
My Tom-Yum seafood set

One of my buddy's wedding over the weekend, and one which i was looking forward to!
Kelvin aka. Siaolang finally got married to his love! wahahaha~ so happy for the couple!

Photobucket
I like cassandra's chinese name! Very nice!
Photobucket
Wedding was held at Orchard Hotel and i went down after a long day of work, but was really happy to see them :) The newly weds were looking very good, like celebrities!
Photobucket
One taken without flash looks much better :)
Photobucket

The banquet started not long after.. all their friends and relatives were punctual and the whole hall was filled
Photobucket
Waiting for the moment.....
Photobucket
The entourage made up of cute kiddos at the march-in was definitely very amusing, keke..
Love this photo!
Photobucket
i really didn't have time to snap more photos of them, cos they walked super fast can!!
But thankfully i wasn't still using my old Sony camera which would only flash after 5 seconds' delay.
Canon s95 is good, lol

The poor couple was 'bombarded' by party poppers exploding into their faces! I randomly heard the groom exclaiming, "Wah lan eh!" when someone popped one right into his ears! LOL
Photobucket
Photobucket
I didn't manage to take them cutting the wedding cake cos the stage was too far in front.

Second march-in
Photobucket
The pretty bride was in a royal purple gown, she looks ravishing!
Photobucket
As usual, they were walking so quickly, i couldn't have time to take a good photo!

Champagne popping, kelvin was undoubtedly experienced! haha
Photobucket
See i managed to zoom my camera duno how many times!!! I was totally AMAZED by my camera, wahahaha!
Fyi, i was seated at the furthest end of the banquet hall.
Photobucket
Photobucket

Photobucket
YUM~SENG!!!!
Photobucket
Photobucket
and finally giving a Thank You speech! As cliche as it sounds, Kelvin was able to amuse his audience still, hahaa
Photobucket
and somebody at my table asked if i was taking a video, cos it's fit for posting on Facebook he says, haha
Too bad i wasn't.
;)

Hereby wishing Siaolang and Cassandra a very blessed marriage!! 早生贵子!!!!!

New buys from SASA at Holland Village =)

after watching the make-up videos on Youtube, i was inspired to get myself some make-up brushes, haha

Initially, i only wanted to get one eyeliner brush, but realised that one brush already cost 8 bucks!
Might as well get the whole set for 25 dollars, hehe
Photobucket
(though i do not know how to use them yet)
Photobucket
Photobucket

This particular one is rather innovative! cos it comes with a cap that can be used to cover the brush after you load it with lip colour, hehe.. then u can pop it into your purse when you go clubbing and reapply as and when.
but i dont think i will use this one, cos i don't wear lipstick.
Photobucket
Was very happy with my buy cos i can finally experiment with some eye-make up.. especially so, now that i have the SayHello Palette from Yue, teehehee~
Photobucket

Got home and found out that i actually DO have some make-up brushes from Biotherm 6 years ago! -_-
And they are still nicely wrapped in their plastic covers, hehe
i washed them all with mild detergent cos scared got fungi growing inside the hairs after so many years!
Photobucket

Another buy from SASA,
Photobucket
a pair of falsies for more 'glamorous' occasions. Not for work.
Photobucket
Haven't tried it on.. Hopefully it looks good :)

It's a new week again.
Dunno whether to laugh or cry, haha
