i wanted to blog so much these few days, but i'm feeling really tired :(
Simply can't keep my eyes open, sigh....
Today was mid-autumn and i can say it's my favourite festival, because i love to eat mooncakes!!!!!
Traditional lotus paste ones with egg yolk!! YUM YUM :)
Boss said we might have sales meeting this evening, so i made sure Jayen and i celebrated mid-autumn fest a day before! hehe
End up, sales meeting was cancelled and we still went ahead and celebrated twice this year, haha
Yesterday, we headed to Bishan Park at night. It was such a nice place after the 'revamp'. Though it's not officially open yet (cos the so-called beach is still under construction), there were many people there playing with lanterns and candles.

And there were wooden deck benches like this for you to lie on and watch the stars :)
Jayen was lighting up candles along the bench, hehe

while i lit up the other side...

i bought along 2 lanterns, 3 boxes of candles and 2 pig baskets (
猪笼) mooncakes, hehe
There was a couple next to us who have put these up!! Aren't they pretty?

Look at the crowd! hahaa...

Eating my mooncake...

teeheehee~~
And got super lots of cam-whoring pics, hehe

baby

Jayen is very proud of his green coloured lantern.
He kept chanting, "In brightest day, in blackest night, no evil shall escape my sight. Let those who worship evil's might, beware of my Green Lantern's light....."
-____-
one of my favourite pic!!

This was what adopted both of our lanterns before we left for home! :p
And this evening after work, jayen came over to my neighbourhood to celebrate "Part 2" :)
We walked over to some park and started playing with sparklers and candles!

baby 'lighting' up a bench in the park with candles.
He says playing with candles was his favourite 'hobby' during mid-autumn festival since he was a kid.
i no
童年 one. I never played with candles nor lanterns :_(
i only got one battery-operated lantern given by my grandpa when i was 8.
Spotted someone trying to fly a Sky Lantern!! 孔明灯!

I heard it is illegal to fly one in Singapore, but.... i think nobody bothers, haha

It's really amazing! This lantern attracted alot of onlookers.
When the lantern slowly rose up into the night sky, all of us cheered. LOL

The funny part was when the wind started blowing it towards the HDB flat which was next to the park.. the lantern kinda got stuck at some window on the highest floor.. eventually it managed to rise further and all of us shouted, "YEAHHH!!"
hahaaa...
It was time to go home and we 'cleaned' up the bench by scraping all the candle wax into one big lump. Jayen was trying to squeeze it into a ball of wax (yuks!) and guess what came out of it?
A heart-shaped ball of wax, haha!

he claims that when there is love, even a ball of wax in his hand can turn out to be heart-shaped.
AWWWWWW~ :D
heh.. happy mid-autumn fest to all. I buay tahan liao, have to SLEEP RIGHT AWAY.
omg it's 1am
nites~~!
