we were looking forward to a weekend of cheap fun; somewhere we don't have to spend a lot, somewhere we could sweat it out (but not too much) and somewhere not very crowded.

so,
jayen and i went kite-flying!!!!


First time in my life, haha

We took the bus to Marina Bay but the sky was overcast when we reached Bugis. Then it started raining! :(( we alighted at Bugis and went for a late lunch. Passed by a shop selling party stuff (u should know where exactly it is, haha.. it's the one opposite Iluma) and saw they were selling kites!
Jayen bought an aeroplane-kite while i bought the traditional triangular kind, hehe.. very cheap!! Only $3.90 and $1.90 respectively!!
i was darn happy but jayen said, "Raining how to fly kite.....??"
BLEH :(
i didn't care, i just want to buy it.

We went Iluma's Tornado to play while waiting for the rain to stop, jayen managed to hit one bonus and got 220 tickets! woohoo~!! :D
The sky still look very cloudy after that, threatening rain any minute.. but stubborn me still insisted on heading to Marina Bay, so we went.
We took the free shuttle bus from Marina Bay to Marina Barrage. I got to hear from my friend, Cindy, that Marina Barrage is the best place for flying kites! yay! I'm quite sure the kites sold there are very expensive, thus insisting us buying cheap ones at Bugis earlier on, heee.. and we're glad we did just that! Cos the ones at Marina Barrage cost $20-30 dollars each!

we walked all the way up, there was quite a number of people flying kites, heh.. i was so excited!! Anyway, a cloudy day would mean less people coming here to fly kites, no? :D

we found a place to sit and took out our kites!

There was no instructions to fix the kite (no wonder so cheap, haha!), but we he managed to anyhow..

i think if i would go with my girlfriends, it would definitely be more of a cam-whoring than a kite-flying session, haha

Soon, both our kites were very high up!!!! No need to run already! And the wind was very strong (maybe cos it was cloudy) we were even afraid our lines would snap!


Jayen's aeroplane, haha.. he seems to be good at it, so i asked him if he has flown a kite before. He said Yes, last time he fly 'zuah-long (plastic bag)' from his HDB flat window -_-

It was getting dark.. see my kite up there too? wahahaha~

In no time, it became very dark. Anyway, my $1.90 kite cannot make it la.. the stick came out after awhile in the sky, haha... and it cannot fly anymore :( Kites without LED lights also are banned from flying in the dark at Marina Barrage. There was this security guard with a microphone and speaker, telling people not to fly their kites that aren't lit, for safety reasons.

So we spent the rest of the evening watching the professionals fly their SUPER HUGE UFO-looking kites, haha

It was AWESOMENESS!

That is, to fly a gigantic kite with the LED-lighted words, "Will U Marry Me?"
and then when i turn back, he will be kneeling down with a ring and flowers.

~wahhhhhh~!!!!! I hate it!!!! I hate it when he has great ideas like that and then he TELLS ME -__-!
cos means it won't happen liao, hahaa!

Anyway, i should give bf a pat on the back for having the potential for even being this lomantic. It's the thought that counts, isn't it?
Just that, when u're really gonna do it, PLS DON'T TELL ME FIRST! haha

I love our kite-flying session. It's so fun! I'm definitely having more of this in future, yeah ??

Pi gu yang, i switched to Code #02 cos the lashes look really lovely.. but i realised i did not like the 'eyeliner' look due to the thick lash-bone.

And my double eyelids are tapering (not parallel, if you get what i mean.. No? can check here if u've got alot of time to spare, haha)
Falsies with thick lash-bone are not very user-friendly to tapering lids.. cos i can't stick them all the way to the inner corners of my eyes or it would irritate like hell... moreover, i'm too lazy to 'extend' it with eyeliner, thus it would look very weird on my eyes. Like there's this botak space between the corners of my eye and the lash-bone :(

That is why i always prefer the lash-bone to be as thin as possible (like the one i've got from Spring Heart :) Code #06) Natural and good!! hehe

Another thing i've bought..

i know i know... i'm contradicting myself, hahaa.. cos i just said i'm too lazy to draw eyeliner a few seconds ago.
Hmm.. think i have to start using eyeliner again, cos eyeshadow without eyeliner looks abit weird. Just gotten their eyeshadow not long ago and i think it's really good, wahahha.. so I bought the eyeliner too from the same range under Kanebo!
I love how fine the brush is!

tested drawing on my hand.. and it doesn't smudge at all! Amazing lor!! In fact, i had a hard time washing it off after that!

i'm slowly buying my cosmetics one at a time, haha.. no choice, now spend money must do my budgeting properly.

The next in line would be foundation already. Sigh... i really hate foundation cos it's so hard to find a good one that doesn't irritate /clog my pores :(
Sana's Natural Resource liquid foundation is good, but i can't find them selling in Singapore anymore :(((
Any good water-based foundations to recommend? Non-comedogenic, sheer and lightweight please! :D


Yesterday was my last day teaching one student. Gonna start work next month and won't be teaching the kiddos already.

and made the whole family sign under the card! When i read it, i felt like crying! ;_( omg
They also gave me a farewell gift.. *sniff

sighh.... tat's the satisfaction you can get from teaching. I'm thankful that my 'parents' were appreciative! :)

My dad has this miniature 盆景 which he kept. He grew the tiny plants (moss?) on the 'mountain'.. and waters it everyday.

how tiny is this? smaller than my hand, haha

He even has a little pavilion at the foot of the hill, wahahaha

He used to have tiny fishing boats floating on the water too! but has them removed ever since two sparrows came and bathed in the water everyday! They still do now!!
Dad said they happily flapped their wings and capsized his boats -____-!

haha... next time i'm gonna put my polly pocket there for a hike, heh..

Raymond's House Party on CNY day 9

On 11th Feb, my ex-classmates from SIM and I decided to go visitation at Raymond's house to get ang pow from him, haha
We went there after work and reached his place 8ish. DeShun was very nice to pick me up from my place cos Raymond's house is in Bt. Panjang! Very far from the north-east!
When we arrived, Vin and Mark were already there. Mark even brought mandarin oranges to bai-nian! I think he's bent on getting his ang pow! haha

Nope, we didn't ask any from him cos Raymond was already too generous a host to treat us to a 7-course dinner!!!


Got crab somemore!!! The dishes were really tasty! And that's our host, looking like a young kid there, haha. He's already uncle liao :X

After dinner, while the rest are preparing for the poker game, Deshun and i decided to play a few rounds of Blackjack at the dining table.. (after my macau and RWS trips, i can act like the croupier already! hehe)

Who knows deshun was even better! He can spread the deck of poker cards across the table like a pro!!

i was damn suay! I LOST EVERY SINGLE ROUND -__-!!!
the loser had to drink 1 glass of martell, and i lost 12 rounds! So 12 glasses to drink as penalty! My friends all told me to place a bet of 12 glasses for the last round, so that if i win, i won't have to drink a single drop.

And....




I LOST!!! blardy h*ll.. end up, i had to drink 24 glasses -_-
of cos i didn't la! I very good at siam-ing, hee..

Each player was first given 3 cards. When it's your turn, you place 1/more cards out (and collect the same number of cards from the common deck) The rule of the game is, the accumulated value of the numbers on the cards placed out by all the players must not be more than 30.
When you kena 30, you lose and have to drink.

Power cards:
7= Reverse
J= Skip your turn / let the next player be forfeited
Q= minus 5 from the total value
K= minus 10 from the total value

The aim is to sabotage the rest of the players so that they get '30'. If you happen to have any of those power cards, you can 'save' yourself and make some other people drink.
Simple game but my instructions here suck. haha..

we adjourned to one of the rooms, cos we were making too much noise and disturbing raymond's wife & friends watching the 'Louis Koo + da S' phone movie, keke..

i think i am allergic to alcohol!! My face and neck was flushed with blotchy red patches! And see my lips that were bloody red. I only drank like 3 glasses?? Usually when i club, i can drink more..but think my body isn't so used to it now. Maybe long time never touch alcohol already.
Horrible right? hahaa

i went out to the living room to 'cool down' alone cos the head was spinning... and after vomiting out the alcohol, my face turned back to the original colour, haa.. No more drinks. My classmates also dont dare to ask me drink liao :D heh.. so i took photos
