i'm dead beat.

wondering if fatigue can actually accumulate in the body and then you only feel it after a few days?
i've not been able to rest well for the whole week cos have been sleeping late and waking exceptionally early to study etc...

yesterday, i had my second paper and i think i have more confidence in it than the first paper?
anyway, my last paper is next saturday so i haven started yet, wahaha...
okok. i will start revising tomorrow.
Today, i didnt have any work in the afternoon and jayen was also on leave to study for his exam tomorrow.
so we met :D YAY!
i know he's supposed to revise at home but we went to town! hehe
he wanted to buy a bag for work.

anyway, he stopped riding already cos he's experiencing recurring spine pain from riding :(
we wanna sell our babybike away.

i do miss the times we rode everywhere 浪尽天涯....but i also remember i hated my flat hair from wearing a helmet, haha
but still, they are beautiful beautiful memories that we will never forget.


today is special cos it's 30th! our 2yr 7mthiversary!
and he had a surprise for me!!!!!
He gave me a lovely bouquet of roses just like on our first date! he's the sweetest!

On tuesday after our paper, i went with my classmates to Holland Village for a late lunch.
Sort of a last minute decision, but it was Vincentia's birthday so we decided that she should treat all of us! haha

it was the first time we went out for a nice meal together.. cos we were always so busy and couldnt find time for that..
vincentia said we are finally having a taste of how the full-timers from our course will feel like, haha.. after school, go out and have lunch all that.
but part-timers like us, after our night classes 10pm all shag liao.. pia home to sleep only

i heard 40% failed this module last semester! i wonder if it's true!!! cos the course is really horrible.
as in, i find the theories so hard to comprehend!!!
In my opinion, it was like 5X more difficult compared to the other modules i'm taking :(

we werent so bad to let vincentia pay for us, so we split the bill.

I LOST MY PENCIL CASE AND MY STUDENT CARD!!!!

After my exams yesterday, i went to the Popular Bookstore in SIM to buy correction tape refills.
At the cashier, i was asked for my student card so i could get a 10% discount off my purchases.
I took out my wallet and realised my student card wasnt in there. It was in my pencil case (cos i brought the card to the examination hall for verification and i left it in my pencil box).

Then i paid for my stuff and left cos my classmates were calling me and asking where i was.
And i had lunch with them, went to work and then, i realised my pencil case was lost!

i totally could not remember where i left it, cos i went to a few places right after my exam.
i went to the bookshop, to the loo, to the library to drop my books...
:(
i'm terribly upset over it.
my student card is inside!!! and my super exam pen! (sorry for the name, but it's ultra smooth and fit for the exams, so i call it the super exam pen.)

i had my first paper- 'Organisational Theory' this morning.
i didnt quite get those theories in my head, but i pray quite abit. hee.
you know when you are given loads of stuff to memorise and you just dont comprehend how you are able to put all that stuff into ur brain...
and then u just pray hard, flip flip through the book, somehow something just tells you to study that part. it's amazing.
and on the day of your paper, Spot On!

woke up at 630am to read through some important stuff.
i must use an hour or so in the morning around 7am (MY PRIME TIME!) before my paper to look through some important notes, cos if i do it at night before bed, i will wake up without being able to recall anything!
yah, talk about my super short-term memory :(

i took a cab to school and there was such a horrible jam on PIE that my fare came up to 22 dollars :(
anyway, i heard this really nice song on the cab, googled it and there! it's on my blog now, hehe...

Thursday is Leadership Management. i got one day to study
i haven started memorising anything yet!

i'm supposed to be mugging.
my exam is next tuesday and thursday, and i swear i only completed 30% of my revision :(
and i'm very very scared now.

this is the first time i am this unprepared for the examinations.
and i'm working so hard i simply have no time to study.
This morning i chiong 5 kids straight and ended work at 330pm.
supposed to study i know, but im prioritising the free time for jayen.
Finally after 2 weeks he's got one day off that we can meet.
we miss each other so much so much.
paiseh, going to be real mushy but i really do miss him alot la... 12 days leh.. i can die one.

he is supposed to study also cos tomorrow is his exam, but we took time to go for a nice dinner and a gory movie (Halloween2) before he burns midnight oil tonight.

I bought a new phone! i bought a new phone!!!! :D

i've been thinking of getting a new one after my previous nokia was 'decapitated' in an accident... i dropped it.
well, i didnt actually accidentally drop it, but it was smashed onto the ground by force.. heh..when jayen and i got into a big fight a long time ago. yah, who says loving couples dont quarrel? we do. once in a blue moon, haha. it's quite funny when i come to think of it now, cos we damn dramatic one.
yah, so the headless nokia phone has been around with me for quite some time. It was our couple phone cos we bought the same model together almost 2 years ago on valentine's day. he bought the black one and i, the bronze. I not so sentimental as to remember the exact date we purchased the phones, just happened to check my 2 yr contract expiry date, they told me it was 14th february next year, heh

then come april this year, jayen got our couple phone replaced with his Iphone.
and i was still stuck with headless :(
This month, i've been working very hard, so i think i deserved a new phone!

happened to see this pretty pink Samsung phone on display at a Starhub mobile shop last week, so i went back to the shop last night to check out the model.
Samsung Star. Its pink colour is really pretty!!!! i remember owning one pink Samsung E800C phone (super super chio one!!) and i bought it without contract. It cost me a hefty $538.
By the way, that pink phone died a chocolaty death. ohH and i have that post linked at my blog's sidebar, haha

I went into the mobile shop and asked for the pink phone. The person said it does not come with any contract. Then, he told me it was out of stock :( :( and all the starhub shops do not carry it anymore. Damn :(
Luckily there was a Singtel shop in the same mall. The auntie there told me they have it in pink :D price was $348, but she discouraged me from buying it since it's a 2G phone. Pretty only, but the functions, inferior. OH :( so it's a bimbotic phone.
haiz...but i like pretty phones and i dont actually care about the functions. As long as it's pretty can liao. haaa.. bimbo i know

she continued to recommend another model, Samsung Preston, and told me it comes in purple too. She said its colour is comparable to Star's pink so maybe i could consider that. But she didnt have a dummy set in purple to show me, so i decided that if i really want the Preston in purple, i could go back to starhub shop instead (since with contract, Preston only cost 68 bucks, hehe)
i went back to the previous shop and the guy told me the purple is totally cannot make it one -_-
i decided to trust him. so i told him i'll consider first and left the shop.
Since Preston's purple is ugly, i made up my mind to get the Samsung Star in pink!
went back to the Singtel shop but hell, the auntie told me she had to order in for me. She said she couldnt confirm if the other shops have the pink sets. i was so upset, i thought she had ready stock :(
but she did have a dummy set for me to hold in my hand. So i had both Preston in white and Star in pink dummies in my palms.
and after a while, i somehow felt the white Preston looks better than the pink Star. now i know why they say you have to hold the real thing in ur hand before u can know if it looks that good after all.

so in the end, i went back to the starhub shop the 3rd time! can imagine i was shuttling between the 2 mobile shops -_- and got Preston in white! YAY
somemore so cheap, 68 dollars niah..compared to 3 hundred over dollars
They even had a promotion for students.
i abit paiseh cos i so old already, so i asked the guy if there is any age limit to their student plan. heh. and he said i just need to show my student card can liao, so YAY!! wahahaha... i got the 100min free talktime and unlimited (like as if i need like tat -_-) sms!!

being a student has its privileges! haha.. must hurry up make full use or else next year end dont have liaoo (provided i pass all my modules)

Teach u how to pass it off as a student: just go to the counter (better to find the old aunties cos u will seem very young to them), act innocent and ask for student meal. when they ask if u want 'upsize', just look very confused and say, "how much to upsize?" and they will tell u "50C".. then u check ur wallet to see if u have extra coins (cos u supposed to be student.. so very poor one), then dig out the extra coins to pay.
Dah-dahhhh... $5.00 :) a cheaper McChicken meal, hehe

after Yue's wedding banquet late that night, i went home and saw a new friend request on my Facebook account.
On first thought, i assumed it must be some friend i knew through Yue cos the profile photo was a group of people taken at My Humble House.

It turned out to be one of the waiters from the restaurant -__-
i dont know how he managed to 'find' me even without knowing my name and especially when my fb profile is private.

it was some 24 yr old guy.
i wonder why i keep attracting these 小弟弟s, no kidding! to date, got 7 already.. from clubbing, online (used to) and school. and i broke a few hearts :p
The most freakish thing is, they are ALL 24 years old! and they tell me 姐弟恋 is alright -_-!

but he says this friday he's finally 'off' so we can meet.

cant blame me for feeling that way, cos this is the 4th consecutive saturday i'm invited to a wedding.

and the wedding i'm most excited about. Yue's!!!
cos she wanted a wedding with an Alice-in-Wonderland theme!! How interesting!

yue was my secondary school friend together with xin, we've known each other for 15 years, i dont stay in contact with (cannot find) my primary school friends, so yue and xin are my 'longest' close friends, haha
yue is now back from U.S. with kelly to hold their local wedding. Alot of people didnt know that 'Kelly' is a guy's name in the U.S. hee

In the morning at 8am, xin and i set off from our homes (we live a few blocks away!) to go over to yue's place, which was also a few more blocks away from ours, hehe! but we took a cab cos xin's pregnant, better dont walk so much =)

we reached yue's place around 8.15 and the rest of the 'sisters' have already reached!
i couldnt wait to see yue!

wearing a silk kimono, she was having her hair and make-up done. so pretty!!!

the 'sisters' ran through the gate-crashing procedure and made sure everyone of us knew exactly what to do.

actually when xin and i were preparing the stuff, we were already feeling sorry for the guys.. Heh..

then we got the rest of the props ready and await the groom and his entourage's arrival! Btw, the brothers are all yue's friends, haha.. cos kelly doesnt live in singapore.
xin's husband, SzeSiang, also volunteered to be one of the brothers! haha

By around 9am, they arrived!
The first game was to get Kelly and the brothers to shout I LOVE YOU in 10 different languages!


quite an easy feat for kelly cos he knows spanish, french, portuguese... and the singaporean, malaysian brothers could help him with malay, chinese and our different dialects...

it was quite funny cos there's this Indian neighbour on the second storey helping them out with Tamil!!! hahaha
we had a good laugh!!

When they reached the door, we sisters pretended to offer drinks for them only in exchange of red packets.
The brothers gave willingly and we gave them cups of VINEGAR to drink! wahahhaha!! then one of the brothers groaned in pain and acted like the acid was starting to corrode his empty stomach -_- dont try to fake it..it doesnt help

when we offered the sambal crackers....


yes, the groom deserves a pat on the back!
He finished the whole damn cracker spread with sambal chilli and the smiley face wasabi!
*then we heard that he loves spicy stuff!
the rest of the brothers dunno throw the rest of the crackers where -_- but i think we sisters just 'close one eye', cos how to eat such terrible stuff!? haha

Next game was to dip their feet in a bucket of ice + salt to retrieve mahjong tiles underneath.
The tiles must form numbers of significant dates (proposal dates, U.S. wedding date)

Apparently, the brothers enjoyed dipping their feet into ice given the warm weather!
yeah.. 2 dates shown. i dont even know how to read them, haha

The next game was for the brothers to dance 'Ricky business' by Tom cruise, where the star drummed a guitar and danced in boxers and socks! haha!

wahahhaa!! after showing the video on youtube for them to learn, it's their turn to perform!!!

Rules like, "have to do all the housework and to give his wife his pay check every month...."

... until the brothers said that marrying the bird would be better for kelly! hahahha

fortunately, kelly thinks yue was all worth it!
and he finally got to his beautiful bride after much of 'searching', heh..

after that, yue and kelly went on their way to take more photos and the rest of us went back to yue's place to rest and have our lunch. Yue's folks were very nice to have buffet catered for all of us!

At around 4pm,
i started preparing cos have to meet xin and her hubby at 530pm.
i know i abit kiasu to prepare one and a half hours' in advance. i was too excited i woke up after 45 minutes of nap. and i was too excited to study or blog, so i did my hair and make-up.
And of cos, took a photo!!

this is the same navy blue dress i wore last weekend to Jeff's wedding.. i actually wanted it to be worn the first time to yue's wedding, but the rubberised strap of the white dress i wanted to wear to jeff's wedding snapped last minute (so sad! i haven fixed it yet :( ).. so i had to wear this one.
it's a bit plain. so i attached my blingbling tiara hair-pin onto the strap of the dress.

At 530, i met xin and szesiang to take a cab to Esplanade.
Yue's banquet was held here...

i was IN AWE when i went in! i think even the hotels lose to this restaurant!!!!
serious, i not kidding! (i went home and suggested my brother hold his banquet there cos it was really really very nice!!!!!!!! ohh.. my bro has plans to get hitched, yay! the type 1 guy has found his type 1 gf, hehe and they're soooo in love!)

The food was really really good! Famous Sam Leong is the chef of this restaurant.

xin told us this was fusion food.
we were served individual dishes each! like fine-dining style!
the only hotel i went to that served individual dishes like this is Fullerton Hotel.
But the food is still better here!

i was upset cos i didnt manage to get to see yue and kelly march in.. cos we were busy helping behind with the packing and guarding of red packets.
I only had a shot of yue in her 'Alice-in-Wonderland' inspired dress at the second march-in.

The couple gave a Thank You speech each.. and yue was all teary when she mentioned her parents.. cos she's going to U.S. to stay with kelly
But i think her parents are really happy for her even though they will miss their only child.. because when you love someone, you will be happy if they are.

our table made the most noise throughout the banquet cos the brothers were damn high. they blame it on the alcohol. The martell cordon blue was uncle's (yue's dad) collection which was kept for many decades! They were all saying how smooth the martell was, and when i tried, i couldnt even feel the liquid touching my lips! serious!! duno how to explain but i could only feel the heat.. like water vapour! it's amazing!
is that what smooth means?

some funny conversation happened at our table at some point in time when Harvey mentioned that the waitresses' uniform look very funny.
As in, their tuxedo looking long sleeved blouses may look conservative but they end above their belly buttons. So the waitresses at My Humble House all have their tummies exposed.
hmmmm..
He said, "Must be that chef, Sam Leong's idea lar. Tsk Tsk..." and the guys continued to shake their heads disapprovingly.
so i said, "not very Humble indeed. Should be called My Humsup House instead"

After the whole banquet, the friends stayed behind to sing a birthday song for yue cos today (sunday) is her birthday!
The cake is from Awfully Chocolate.

The whole wedding was very fun, colourful and whimsical! and with LOADS of surprises!!
Just like in a dream!
i think yue's wish of having a special wedding came true!
