im compelled to update on the firework display we caught since out of 90% of the blogs i read, people are writing about it.
and well, the only difference is, they all knew about it, made the trip down to catch it, while baby and i were totally clueless about it... it certainly took us by surprise when we were riding along the town on our way to catch a movie at plaza sing.
we stopped on our way up the multi-storey carpark and saw that spectacular display of fireworks...
aren't we very very lucky =)
to be at the perfect place at the perfect time.

20082008
was indeed a special day.
moreover, it was lao-niang's bird-day!!
*thanks peeps for ur well wishes via sms! im very the touched, hehe =)
anyway,
had a simple celebration with my loved one the day before cos we had night classes and a test on the actual day :(
baby was expectionally sweet that day, he fetched me to and fro work, and even waited till i knocked off. haha, not to say that he was only nice to me on that day lar.. on the contrary, he is nice every single day, tat was why i didnt think he was up to something. In fact, he planned to treat me to a nice bday meal =)
it was quite a random pick and we ended up in Fig & Olive.
we ordered salads, beef and lamb.
BUT the food was not up to our expectations. It's quite a disappointment. Nonetheless, we managed to still enjoy ourselves =)
baby got me a nice surprise when i came out from the washroom.
i totally had no idea where he hid the bday card, rose and a present even before we went into the restaurant -_-
i was damn cui cos i wasnt made up for any occasion :( so i had to stop him from video-ing, heh
baby bought me a pair of earrings!!!!
it is absolutely gorgeous!!!!!!
After our dinner, we went to our usual void deck to study for our test. baby said he wanted to be the first to wish me a happy birthday so i had to stay out till midnight.
we went to buy a tiny cake, some drinks, spent 3 hours mugging away before driving to a stadium to celebrate...
it was a very very simple birthday spent, just the 2 of us... but the sweetest one i had❤

last week, kaya messaged me on MSN if i was free on friday. and i found out she wanted to celebrate my bday in advance, teeheehee.. seriously i was quite touched by the gesture.
i agreed almost immediately bcos she suggested going to zouk after a dinner together, muahahhahaa....
it has always been my wish to bring her to clubbing, even thou i know aunt wont be too happy to hear about it, ahha! but still, i'm totally honoured to be able to bring her to her first clubbing session! muahahaha
and i'm glad she enjoyed it :) not forgetting her lovely little friends.. it was indeed great company!

The coolest indian restaurant is situated at kallang stadium!!!
my brother treated all of us to some really nice mouth-watering food at VANSH last weekend.
it is really, really COOL!!!!!
i've never been to an indian restaurant before, and this place totally changed our concept towards Indian cuisine!
the food is delicious, the ambience is even better!
these were just 3 of all the dishes we ordered, haha
cos the rest of the dishes were just so tasty we didnt even bother to take any photos!! we were just wolfing down whatever was placed before us, hehe
me and cousin kaya
their toilet is unisex one! muahaha
even picking food stuck in my teeth look far from unglam in such a cool toilet!! muahahhaa

This was what i've been doing for the past few weeks.
i know i haven been blogging, *apologies* but i really have got no time!!!!
like now, it's 12.34am and im still trying my best to squeeze everything in one entry, haa!
First of all,
happy bird day to our nation!
we really didnt know that we can get such a magnificent view of the fireworks from the National Library!!
haha! baby and i happened to chance upon it when we spent like one whole week at the NLB doing our research for school.
sorry peeps for updating this so late, especially to those who were in search for a good place to view the fireworks.
Now national day is over liao hehe
this is even more back-dated!
way before that horrible incident happened last friday.
Anyway, thanks to all for the concern, our bike is fixed with a new brake part and also an alarm system.
yah lo, we paranoid liao. But cannot blame, cos the bike is getting way too much attention.

Last but not least, baby and i tried our luck at the UFO catcher machines @ Plaza Singapura last week
Look!! im beaming from ear to ear!!!!!
i was super elated cos we managed to catch the cute rabbit!!!!!
and u will never believe how it was caught.
the catcher got one of its claws STUCK IN THE TAG of the rabbit!
we were sooooo soooo sooooo lucky!
haha
i could only remember i felt like the luckiest girl in that arcade cos all the girls were squealing when they walked past us, and that look of envy on their faces, it's priceless! muhahahhahaa...

So much happening has been going on, but i just cant find time to blog :(
happy stuff, unhappy stuff, lucky stuff and suay stuff...
Friday was supposed to be one happy day, as we have finally handed in our first individual assignment, got our bike maintained by replacing a new battery, an oil filter and changing the oil. We headed down to clarke quay after our night class for a nice dinner and chilling out.
It was jayen's sister's birthday and we had a few drinks before going back home.
Baby and i parked our bike at Liang Court complex carpark and when we were walking back to our carpark lot around 2.30am, we saw one plump malay guy sitting on a motorbike directly behind our bike. He was staring in our direction and as we approached, another man suddenly appeared from squatting beside our bike, got on his fren's bike and went off.
We sensed something fishy going on and baby was like, "What were they doing beside our bike? steal thing ar..."
It didn't cross our mind that something like that would really happen, and cos the carpark was too dark for us to assess the situation right there and then, we couldnt react in the nick of time.
But it was amazing how we both managed to notice their motorbike's plate number before realising what they had done to our bike. It was a malaysian bike, plate number JGK 4565.
Baby lit the lighter so that we could check our bike more properly and we saw liquid dripping from our front wheel! we even saw 2 screws right below it! They have stolen our front brake parts and the fluid dripping out was our bike's brake fluid! Our first reaction was to give chase (not forgetting cursing and swearing) but the 2 thieves were already on their way out from the multi-storey carpark. We ran to the security post hoping that they could stop the thieves at the exit barrier but THERE WAS NO GUARD ON DUTY :(
by the time we ran down to the exit of the carpark, it was already too late. Passer-bys told us that the motorbike has already sped off. We called the police and went to the security guard room and three of them were resting (sleeping?) in the room, damnit! and when we informed them of the theft, they only shrugged their shoulders and said nonchalantly that they can do NOTHING MUCH about it. we were actually quite pissed by their attitude. They didnt even bother to hear the details before deciding that they cant do anything.
About 10 minutes later, the police arrived and the security guards SUDDENLY appeared so vigilant, one even went out to 'WELCOME' them. crazy!
the 2 police officers went up to the 'crime-scene' with us and took our statement. After a more thorough check, we realised that the 2 thieves have stolen the suspensions from another bike which was parked next to ours. The bike couldnt even 'stand upright' and so we supported it with a helmet.
The police officers stayed with us till almost 5 in the morning, took photographs of the crime scene and communicated through the phone to the other officers. We just hope those police conducting road-blocks can keep a look-out for the bike, since we managed to provide them with the plate-number. Somehow, im quite skeptical of the efficiency of our police though. Well, even mas selamat can go missing without being found, i doubt they would really bother to go help us find the thieves one lah. Haiz :(
baby and i just count ourselves lucky that we were able to spot them red-handed (though didnt have time to react), got down their plate number and had only one part of the brake stolen. The other side of the brake's screws were already loosened and we were glad we got back just in time to prevent it from being removed too. worse still, the suspensions like the other bike!
haiz, it's very depressing cos we had to leave our bike there overnight :(
we went down again today in the afternoon cos baby couldnt have a peace of mind to leave it again yet another night. It was too risky as the carpark is really dark, and there are 'dead corners' without CCTV coverage. plus the security guards all wayang cannot make it one...So peeps, try not to park ur vehicles there.
i also dont know where exactly it is safe to park.

i swear i'm never gonna drink coffee before i sleep again.
i've been lying awake for 4 whole hours now.
i counted all the sheep, listened to all the lullabies, but im still very much WIDE AWAKE.

It is 4 a.m. in the morning, and work starts at 9 a.m in the morning.
well done.
Deadline for our essay is tomorrow. I've done the last editing to it since 2 hours ago. i'm not sure if it is OK, i just hope i wont fail my first assignment.
For now, i just wan to get to sleep :(

i lie on my bed at 2am in the morning. my body is tired from the day's activity.
and i close my eyes.
i start to remember all that we've gone through together and it brings tears to my eyes. It is not very long a period, but definitely these are the most wonderful days of my life.
and i have the urge to pen it all down, telling you how much u meant to me in my heart.
if i could use all the words i know, they will still not be enough.
i look back at my life and see what i've gone through. sometimes i feel sorry for myself, because so many times, i stumble through life confused and uncertain.
u came into my life. It is amazing how God led our paths to meet. Knowing you is the one of the most magical things that has happened. u have made me realise, that we can own nothing in this world, but as long as we have each other, it is more than enough. u are all that i ever wished for and my heart is filled with thanksgiving.
Baby, u complete me. im never in want. seriously, i never once felt i was shortchanged or felt i needed more from you, cos u have given me all that i need, and all that i wanted. Baby, thanks for everything.
I love you. If it can be, let it be forever.
