Rain Rain come today, Go away another day.

feeling abit under the weather still, but not serious enough that i need go see a doctor. Some self-medication might help, coupled with lots of rest + fluids.
It's not like working in a school. Where i fall ill very easily due to stress, overworking and insufficient rest. Just in case this scares off people who have the aspiration or dream of becoming a teacher, i better stop here. haha..
Other than the shit u get from some schools, system etc..., the kids are definitely the main reason why u should join and STAY in the education service.

NOT for the monetary rewards, NOT the stability of the career itself, NOT for climbing up the corporate ladder...


Why cant we just be educating and nurturing children, instead of vying for stupid awards for the school, top ranks and trying to look good?? AT the expense of the children, and the teachers.

i think,
sometimes the system just FORGOT that the children are involved.


seriously, it has become very meaningless.
at least for me.


Anyway,
back to updating on my SUNNY outing to sentosa last sunday =)

i never knew Siloso beach was actually this beautiful! haha

we (jayen, in particular) were there ogling at sun-tanning babes, hehe!

i forgot my mat,

but he was innovative enough to bring along 2 trash bags.

BUT it was only when he opened it that he realised he brought the wrong size one.
it was so small lor.

Tore it apart and the size was just nice to fit ur back and bottom -_-

Opened my umbrella so that it shaded our faces from the sun, haaa..

spent almost 2 hours lazing around on the beach before we set off to go explore other parts of the island.
Everywhere also need admission fees :( but we decided that the Skyride was quite worth our bucks.

The weather is horrid the whole of today!!!!

Sky is clear and i nearly melted under the scorching heat!!!!


i hate it when it's warm and humid :(
it makes me sticky and uncomfortable.


Ironically, as much as i try to avoid hanging out under the sun, i wished it wouldnt rain the day before, or it would have ruined our outing at Siloso Beach =)

and i think i have dehydrated under that heat, better to sleep early tonight so i wont fall ill.
SO, i'll do an update tomorrow instead, muahahhaa....

We each had our favourite Mushroom soup as well. Hmmmm... i personally prefer White Dog Cafe's (@ Vivo).. their mushroom soup is really thick and creamy!!!

it was a short and sweet meet-up.

happy birdday to baby last wednesday :)

We met up the day before to sit on the Singapore Flyer. After having a bird eye's view of Taiwan city, it's time to come back and check out Singapore's. hehe..

Due to the insufficient time i had to prepare his birdday pressie, Jayen said i could just treat him to a ride as a gift.
:)
But the weather wasnt too great that day. It started drizzling by the time we reached the ticketing booth. There werent many visitors, so we didnt have to wait at all!

There was an indian couple before us in the queue taking their bridal shots on the Singapore flyer! Very lomantic! But they should have chosen a sunnier day :(

This is one most unflattering shot taken from the Singapore Flyer by a singaporean.

it's rather sad.
We vowed to go up on it again on a sunny day, and one night!!

i pitied the indian couple. Their bridal shots background only got one round steel cylinder with 4 ugly benches.

Watched a movie and went to Robertson Quay for some drinks.
Our fave hang-out place, the beach-bar was demolished!!! :(

Had red wine and chilled out at some other pub.

i excused myself to go to the ladies and then secretly ordered a piece of tiramisu cake from some turkish cafe nearby. There abit CMI one.. cos it was the only cafe selling cakes and they only got 2 flavours -_- tiramisu and some duno what name one...


baby had a pleasant surprise when the waiter came over with the cake and a lighted candle, hehe

but the cake...
was soggy and horrid.
Blah!


Made it up for baby the following day, which was the exact date of his birdday :)
Bought presents and cakes after my tuition and went over to his place.

Placed these all on his bed so he could have a surprise when he comes out of the shower...

his favourite blackforest cake and a mini-strawberry sweetheart, muahahaha...

To me, no present is a birdday present unless it's given on the actual day, haha..
so.. the singapore flyer ticket doesnt count...(so last-minute, plus we saw nothing :(

A watch for baby!



i think it's really really nice! haha.. had a hard time trying to decide among the so many watches displayed. I think this is really the chioest, ahhaa... and of cos, the price also very chio, haha but i think it's worth it! :)

went lunch at crystal jade with his family after that...

Then after that i went for tuition and baby waited for me to finish :)
And we went for dinner and then zouk!! Long time no go, hahaa...

and i think im really old liao cos :( i was puking like nobody's business and we had to leave for home early :(

On Friday, we went Ikea cos he wanted to buy a Queen size mattress for his bed.

They have so many different mattresses to choose from!

spent almost 2 hours trying out all their beds and finally decided on a spring one with moderate firmness.
Ikea was having their renovation, and there werent any yummy Ikea meatballs to eat :( *wail.......

so we went to Anchorpoint for our dinner instead.


after that, we went vivo and DID NOTHING, haha..
the night was spent just sitting by the pool and fooling around

he was plaiting my hair -_-
