some very random updates...


1. i'm curbing the temptation to shop. And all i can say is that i'm progressing quite well, hehe...
once i start, it doesn't stop.
But once i stop, it.....eventually stops! Yay!
i NGIAO all the way down to paying 2bucks for my favourite cupcorn (something which i can never resist) hahaa

4. had a dream last night. in my dream, jayen said he liked my thighs to be fatter!
i remembered he even said something like, "i prefer 25-26inches like tat.."
i duno how thighs can be around 25-26 inches! but somehow dreams cant be explained and so, i cant explain too..

and then i woke up!!

got abit disturbed so i called to ask him if he wished my thighs were fatter... -_-
Damn boliao i know cos he's totally not involved in my dream. But then, i just want to find out.
and luckily for him, he said, "i love u for who u are la..."

or else he will be dead meat, haha!
and he's darn rite about women 'luring' their men to say the wrong words and then get themselves entrapped!

met up with my dear girl last Saturday!!

passed her her very very very belated birthday present! heee.. sorry girl that it was so late!

cos she's so so so busy with school, work and more school!

went for shopping, a nice pasta dinner at Geláre, followed by more shopping and

they even got this monkey bar thingy that u can hang from like an ape, haha!
but from here, cant see the bar also.... -_- so its like hanging from nothingness.. abit lame, heh!



we bought cheap dresses from Toss!!!
their tops are going at 5 bucks and dresses, 10 bucks!!!
i paid 10 bucks for this!

it's in mustard yellow.. and i bought 2 different designs in green and yellow.
esther also bought one in mustard green and another top!
this dirty dirty yellow color is very IN now wor, hahaa!!


after that, jayen called and said he took urgent leave for the night, so i had to pang~seh her (sorrie babe!) around evening for a movie, keke

caught L:Change the world.
full house for the first 3 timings, so booked tickets for the fourth one at 1140pm.
had 3 hours to spare so we went over to Emerald Hill for a drink and chat first.

Back to the movie... hmmmm, its not as nice as we expected leh.. and it's a bit draggy i feel.
maybe sometimes when a movie is given too much hype, we tend to have high expectations.. and it's then when u feel it's not as good as it SHOULD be.
i think i enjoyed Death Note better, keke...

caught The Deaths of Ian Stone on Sunday and i think it's not bad, haha!
maybe due to the fact that we went in feeling abit skeptial.. but it turned out to be better than we expected it to be! haha

so, moral of the story...

go watch a movie not expecting anything great from it. AND you would be pleasantly surprised!! haha

Friday nite.. and im home wishing my fringe grow longer, hahaaa

nahh.. it's not bothering me too much but i'm surprised that u people know the secrets of getting hair grow faster!
apply beer or XO really helps mehh? u all not kidding rite.. cos i will believe one lor!

anyway, the length is neither here nor there.
it's too long to be a bang, and it's too short to be swept to the side of my forehead.
GRRRRRRR

im tempted to go cut it short but then, hair on the face makes the skin dirty and prone to zits!!!!
my skin is already not very 'perfect' to start with.. it's especially sensitive and acne-prone.. so any slight changes is gonna make it react...

the small pimples start growing when the bangs are above my brows.. How u know it's the hair tat's causing the zits? u ask.
Cos my fringe is asymmetrically cut and the pimples also pop asymmetrically across my forehead lor!! -_-

and when the hair grows longer abit.. new pimples grow abit closer to my brow!

HOW irritating is that?!?!!

until now it reaches the eyes.. and u can imagine!!!
pimples popping right above the eye below the brows!!
damnnit!


im gonna put a stop to all these pimply-nonsense!!!!

i finished with the SUSHI DIY kit and it's so darn cute!!!! ahahhaaa....
and YES, i'm SOOOOO proud of myself!!!!!!

hehe..

for those of u who cant find those DIY Food boxes in the stores, u can buy ur own felt cloth and u can start sewing!!!


Below are the steps to making one whole plate of DROOL-INDUCING sushi!!!

the template and the materials in the DIY kit

scissors for cutting cloth is not included... but the thread and filling cotton is! =)

First, what i do is to cut the template out so that the measurements are accurate...

then cut the pieces of cloth to the desired sizes and u can start sewing!

There are 6 different kinds of sushi to sew, and explanation is included to sew each one.
All the sushi need a rice roll at the bottom and this is how it's made =)


Thread the edges together after filling it with the cotton.

the top part of the sushi is sewed differently...




the egg and fish ones need a laver strip sewed over them =)

Now for the Roe, same orange cloth to be sewed on top of the rice roll first,

SLURP!!!!!

Ta-dahhhh!!


and now, the most challenging and boringgggg part... sewing the plate.

YES, u still need to sew the plate -_-

Four tedious steps....

making sure every stitch is spaced almost uniformly apart from each other will make the plate look yummy tooo, hehe

then place all the sushi into the plate..... and ....

i bought one whole box of DIY FOOD home the other time =)


No, it's not food recipes but stuffed toy-food made from cloth!
and yes, DIY means you sew them yourself!

6 designs that u can buy separately but i find all so cute i wanted the whole collection!! haha...
one design is 1.50 each =)

they provide the sewing guide, pieces of felt cloth, filling cotton, needle and thread =)

i've just finished with the birthday cake!!

it's so cute!! wahahaa... but then, abit of no use cos u cant really do anything with it but to let it collect dust overtime since it's inedible... haaa..
but it took me 4 whole hours to sew just one piece of the cake!

i changed the 'Happy Birthday' label to 'Happy Valentine' instead, haa..

wanted to give it to jayen for valentine's.. but then, i think again, guys dont appreciate hand-sewn stuff like tat?? i duno? maybe i'll sound him out soon, keke...

so i used the label to sew it on a handphone holder he liked so much the other day we were shopping.


now it's personalised!! muahahaa...

valentine's day was just another normal day. we were both working but managed to squeeze a few hours in the morning to have a nice Macdonald's breakkie together =)

his sister got me 2 tees from bangkok! wahahaa..

Long time no chiong liao, haha... but he was able to sign me in for free :D we were darn high that we dont have to pay cover charges and were treated like vips!! wahhaaa....

can see my neck with red patches liao -_- i hate it when i drink and i get an allergic reaction man! i sometimes get disgusting red spots and patches all over my face if i drink a tad too much or mix the booze...
but it's good cos that's an excuse for not drinking too much =)


and the best thing of all, i changed my phone today!!
i should say, WE changed our phones!! wahahhahaha....

everyday will be a St Valentine's day =)

Today is Monday.

the day dreaded by most of us, haha.. especially so after 4 days of fun and rest.
didn't quite feel the full kick of the 'blues' cos i no longer have to wake up at the torturous hours of dawn like before. hehe.. i cant imagine preparing to go to school at a freaking 515am like before, with loads of stress and all. sure low morale one. haha
im glad i left.

i sometimes ask myself. there are so many teachers working out there. Is my threshold of stress so low? that i had to resign. And to say that i am too 'weak' to handle the stress doesnt do justice to me either. In fact, i went through it that 3 and a half years. It's not that long, i know. But it isnt very short either.

i say i'm tired.

i'm sick of hearing...
"Aey, go and rest ba. tomorrow need to wake up early..."
"Have you done your lesson plans for next week yet?"

and i'm sick of the fatigue having to rush through each LONG LONG (~10 hours @ work) day.
i hate being left with no choice but to rush through or even skip my meals sometimes.
i hate it when i have to face the disgusting behaviour of some kids and i dread scolding and shouting at them.
and worst of all, the feeling of defeat and total disappointment when my efforts go unappreciated.


it's not always like that, of cos.
there are times of fun, satisfaction working with children.
but sometimes, it's not the children.
hmm, i should say, Most of the times, it's not the children
whom i've stopped loving.
it's just that i've lost that initial passion.

but whatever it is, its over and i shouldnt be harping on it anymore. aiyah, in the first place, why am i lamenting on the fact that i left my job?
it's time to move on, haha.

and i have.
i learn to love my life. the people in it.

without the mad rush =)

but then, i would be working till late tat day and by the time i off work, it's his turn for his night shift.

was really busy these 2 days visiting, keke.. but all was worthwhile cos i collected quite alot of angpows, HEHE!
Think this year was the most so far, wahahaha...

reunion dinner was as usual at home, but mom decided to cater some dunno what dish from some restaurant cos granny's legs were getting too weak to cook so many dishes le :(

This dish cost a freaking 168bucks!
Abalone and prawns are included in this claypot so she can save cooking 2 dishes.

totally BLAND TASTE one.. YUKS...
i still love my granny's cooking :(

but still, i always looked forward for reunion dinner. i love how everyone is in a joyous mood and the feeling of togetherness is just indescribable! It's far better than getting the angpows, seriously! haha..


Day 1
woke up early feeling very excited, haha!
my granny was already cooking longevity noodles for us!
ohhhh... we love love love love the noodles!!!
(too bad i dont have any photos of it, haha.. cos we were too busy gobbling up the tasty noodles, hehe)

cousin kaya and her family came soon after we finished our brunch. i was so happy to see them, cos usually they would reach only after we leave for my ahma's house.

us in our new clothes! YAY! and i think she look darn sexay! wee~wheeet!!
muahahaha..

went over to ahma house after that!
it's mostly snacking, cam-whoring and playing with the babies, haha..

so we bought tickets for the midnight show too. heee..
our verdict= KungFuDunk seems better than CJ7, keke


Day 2
i was feeling even more excited than Day 1 cos jayen's gonna come visit!
muahahhaaa...

and that poor boy was super super stressed out! cos it's the first time he'll be seeing my very strict parents.
When i went down to bring him up to my house, he was breaking out in cold sweat and i was trying my best to reassure him, heh..

it didnt help when he asked cousin kaya the night before when we were waiting for our movie if my mom was fierce, cos kaya just nodded her head with that solemn look, AHAaa... think he couldnt sleep well the whole night after tat, wahaha..

anyway, my parents were rather shy too. they kept asking jayen to eat only.. didnt ask him any questions also cos they saw how nervous he was! haha.. he kept wiping beads of cold sweat from his forehead! darn funny!
my granny very lovingly cooked a bowl of longevity noodles for him to eat, teeheehe..

can see his smile damn 僵硬 lor, heh..

ah dear in the living room, hehe.

he loosened up after the noodles and began chatting with my granny after that.
heeee..

im so proud of u, baby! wahahaa...
he's the first boyfriend i brought home and of cos, that meant so much to me.
and when i asked why he was so scared of my parents, he replied, "because it's their daughter i want to marry, of cos i would be stressed out..."
8_) i was so so touched lor!!!!
