despite my friends discouraging me from paying the rest of it, i still went ahead to transfer the money and got the stuff sent over. i was thinking, since the deposit, which was more than half the full amount, has already been paid for, might as well not let it go to waste.
Besides, it wasnt very nice to get the person import the clothes over for me and then i, the buyer, doing the disappearing act. plus, i was really really curious to check their stuff out..

so i went to the post office to collect my item early in the morning at 830am.
jayen went with me cos he just knocked off, so he cabbed down to my place and we went over to the post office.
it was drizzling and we used my new girly umbrella!! hehe.. *so happy*
and he was like, "Eeee.. yuks. ah baby umbrella!"
hahahaa...
went back to his house after that and i couldnt wait to try on the clothes!!
so i got changed when he was in the shower. didnt want to let him see me in them in case they looked orbiang, haa..

went Vivo city with ah dear on his off day on Thursday..
didn't do much there cos shopping was already NOT what we had in mind.
There's no kbox there.. and the movie screening times were too late as i had to wake very early the next morning for work.

Ended up at Santorini Restaurant & Bistro for a drink after our bah gut teh dinner.
The ambience of the whole restaurant looks good and there was a man playing blues at the piano..wahh..
we initially thought we would feel very relaxed sitting there, sipping our drinks and enjoying the sea breeze with nice soft music playing in the background... can u picture that?? haha...

BUT
we started yawning and feeling darn bored half way through our drinks..
and also a little bit down after awhile... we figured out that the blues the man were singing got us damn depressed without any reason we had to leave.

next time, we would just stick to our fave hideout after all yeah? :)

combed a few shops and tried many pairs, but i think this, in terms of the fabric and the cutting, suits me best :)
just tat i need to pay a bit more.

But i thought i opted for normal postage instead of registered mail.
so sad...now i have to make a trip down to the post office to collect it.

At Plush... (the former momo/velvet dragon) i was quite skeptical of that place initially cos of the crowd, haaa.. but it turned out to be not so bad after all, cos there was more space and the music's better. Best of all, Shawn signed all of us in for free, wahhahhaa....

my whole p5 science class got a real good trashing from me this morning. what happened was, they were supposed to have their practical test in the art room. 3 stations were already set up with 13 sets of experimental apparatus + specimens prepared for each station. The kids were to rotate from one station to another within a stipulated time.
My kids, although from the best class, misbehaved.. like TOTALLY!!

they were excitedly yakking away, oblivious that they were actually doing a test.. and not only that, some were playing with the specimens and spilling iodine all over the place -_-
despite my constant reminders, they just continued with their disgusting misbehaviour..

i was trying to keep them quiet, make sure that they leave the stuff back to their original places, clean up the stations before the next class comes in for the practical test.....
it's like a TOTAL MESS and i admit the test wasnt administered the best i could. Sigh..
i did my reflections already, haha...

i lost it when a kid came up and informed me that one of his frens destroyed a specimen (which was an angsana fruit)..
fyi, i had went hunting for angsana trees the day before and painstakingly hand-picked 14 fruits just for this practical test.
now this kid of mine actually crushed it with his hands just for the fun of it....

They were the first class to do the practical test and there are 4 more classes coming in after them... so how are the rest of the kids gonna do the test if the specimens are already being destroyed??


i felt my blood boil to the MAX..

i was so angry that i scolded the class like i've never before...
it was scary..
for my students.
and for myself too.

the class fell dead silent. u could even hear a pin drop.
i could only hear the quiver in my voice..


i told them to think about what they've done.. they nodded with tat grave expression on their faces.
i left the class.

i hate to be in that kind of position..
but then, the kids must really be taught a lesson.. or else they will never learn, haiz....

after school, a few came to me and see if i was still angry, haha..
kids are still kids lar.. i really dont like to scold them.
but i just hope they learn to appreciate more..
