IM BACK from HONGKONG!!!!!!
wahhahhaha...
actually was already back on sunday night.. hmm, monday morning to be exact, cos by the time i reached home, it was 130am in the morning :(
and i only managed to catch less than 4 hours of sleep before i wake for work again :(
damn zombified for the past 2 days, haaa..
and not forgetting the 800 over photos taken, i have to resize one by one before i could upload them.
i just finished 2 days' photos *pant**.... more to go.. but i'll just update on the first 2 days of my trip first yeahh, heee...
so here it goes, hehe..
Wednesday 8th Augusthalf day at work as we celebrated National day in school..
rushed back home, ate lunch and went out of the house again.. went over to Jayen's place before leaving for the airport together..
he did his homework and planned our itinerary as promised!! im so darn proud of him, wahahhahaa..
all printed and filed nicely in the clear folder :)

"Ah dear must go" -_-he's so sweet, haha..
reached the airport at 230, checked in our baggage and bumped around :)

jayen buying travel insurance...

and had the most expensive meal of chicken rice @ Changi Airport -_- before boarding the plane..

sunset view from the airplane..
Magnificant!

we reached HongKong International Ariport! YEAhhhhh....

took the Airport Express to Kowloon Station before transiting to the airport shuttle bus to our hotel..

while waiting.. our damned tired faces, haaa..

nothing to do and no scenery to admire.. so cam-whore lorrrr..

-_- darn boliao, hehe..

was drizzling when we got down the shuttle..
this was taken near Jordan MTR, where our hotel was located..

Prudential hotel @ day. It's damn cool, cos it was right above the MTR and a shopping mall!

the 20cents-machines certainly brought back alot of fond memories, haha

we checked in, unpacked some of our stuff and went downstairs to get some supper to fill our stomachs..
not forgetting desserts!! YUMMY!

saw this...
wah lao..must remind me of my CCA mehhhhh????
Anyway,
we had our fill and turned in for the night as it was very late and we were darn sleepy =)
Thursday 9th AugustIt was still drizzling when we woke up. Jayen woke up darn early.. like 5plus to buy McDonald's breakkie..
come to think of it, it's so ironic.. During our Taiwan trip when our hotel actually provided breakfast, we slept through the mornings.. and for this HK trip where breakfast isnt provided by our hotel, we woke especially early -_-

he got my favourite Cup-corn! teeheehee..
slept abit more before leaving the hotel for lunch @ this Honey Bee Restaurant :)

ah dear :)

we simply loved the food there!! VERY VERY yummy and rather affordable :)

we had trouble communicating with the waiters in there.. i tried my best with my sub-standard cantonese and we realised many of the Hongkongers dont quite understand english..
when we asked for the Bill, they gave us Milk -_-

we took the MTR to Central

stopped over at Sunny Bay Station to change to Disney Resort Line

the Disney Train is sooooo cute! :D

we reached Disney Land!!!!

350HK dollars which was approximately 70SGD per person for the entrance..

Welcome to Disney Land! :)

i love the architecture of the buildings!! So fairyland-like!:)

this is so kiddish, but we still went for the Jumbo Elephant ride, teeheehee..

u can adjust its height urself, hehe...

didnt take photos with the Disney characters lehh.. maybe they didnt want their costumes to get wet -_-
only took one with cinderella, but photo was blurry!!! :(
Next was the Cinderella Carousel =)

and the spinning teapots, haha...

damn girlish, but we played twice, haha...cos u could actually spin the teapot at your own speed!!
:D we spinned ours at full speed throughout the ride and were damn dizzy after that, haha
Space Mountain

it was actually a roller coaster ride in darkness, haha..
we were damned scared, keke..
there were 2 ladies sitting right behind us in the 'car' and one of them was exclaiming and repeating throughout the WHOLE ride on how beautiful the 'view' was... jayen was so irritated he said he wanted to turn round and slap her, haaa.. but of cos he didnt..
they actually took photos of us.. i had my head down (as usual) hahaa...cos i was darn scared.

look at the 2 women behind had their heads down too.. -_- never open eyes still can say the view was beautiful..wat the hell, haaa..
shopped for souveniers after that..
he gotme a nice necklace, heee.. Thanks ah dear!!!! :D

by the time we finished our dinner, it was just nice for the fireworks display!!!

it was just so so beautiful =)
Friday 10th AugustAlthough the weather had been rainy throughout the days we were in HongKong, the 3rd day was the worst.
It's quite a wet blanket to wake up to a morning where you don't see the sun and the whole sky looks gloomy... and you know you have to chuck whatever you have planned for the day away and look for other alternatives.
it was raining so we called for room service and ordered 2 breakfast sets from the Hotel's
ala carte menu found in the room. It only took them around 15 minutes before sending the warm food up. Fast and good service! Thumbs-up definitely! =)

3 eggs omelette meal with toast, complete with warm milk and a glass of orange juice.
it was still raining when we left the hotel for a BIGGER umbrella and MORE food!!!
we had
Dim Sum near Temple Street..

quite cheap but not very nice leh..
i thought HK is famous for their
Dim Sum? hmmm, probably we didnt have it at the right place, or cos we both actually dont like to eat D
im sum one, haha..
i obviously haven really woke up yet lor..... -_-

jayen very much wanted to go see the skyline of the CBD buildings along Victoria harbour at Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront cos he said it has always been his dream to see it with his own eyes after watching it from all the HK drama serials and movies, hee..
took the MTR to TST...

but there was a little problem,

the signal for typhoon was still at Number 1 when we left the hotel.. by the time we reached the MTR station, it has gone up to 3.
but we heck care, haha..
walked all the way to the Avenue of Stars and we were greeted by this!!

fwahhhh.... so nice! heee.. so HK drama serial one, heee!

jayen was damn high, haaa.. kept taking ALOT of photos and videos of the skyline =)
Must have it as the 'backdrop' also...

you probably didnt notice from the photos that our faces and clothes were actually wet from the rain... we had a huge umbrella from 7-eleven, but it did not shelter us from the rain cos the wind was very strong... our umbrella even broke -_-
Just look at the dark rain clouds...

left a few persistant brave souls still walking along the harbour despite the strong winds..
and we were one of them -_-

the typhoon became stronger and we had no choice but to leave for indoors.

we ended up at some shopping mall and found that most shops have closed..

the MTR was worse!!! train service got suspended and it was so damn crowded!!
people stuck at the station... cos think they had to leave their schools and workplaces due to the typhoon.

u can never see this in singapore, haha

another option, take the public bus transport =)

we still wanted to go to Ocean Park, but the ticketing counter was closed.
see, we were the only ones in the queue -_-

Ended up when we asked the girl in charge, she said the bus service to Ocean Park was suspended too.
hmmm, we went to have an early dinner somewhere near, and guess where we went?
we took the bus up to The Peak!
we must be mad.. but then, as first timers, we probably didnt realise the seriousness of the 'natural disaster'.. plus we were both damn stubborn people.
come to think of it, i could only THANK GOD FOR HIS PROTECTION.
can u imagine.. going up to The Peak when the typhoon signal 8 was hoisted.
we reached..

the Peak Galleria was locked and the security guards waved us to leave when we knocked on the glass door.. they said it was closed and all the bus service has been suspended.
i started to fret cos it would soon be dark and how should we go down from there??? it was damn foggy and cold :(

fortunately, there were 3 guys working at The Peak who managed to hail a cab and sent us downhill. or else i really dont know what will happen, dont tell me we have to sleep overnight on the moutain, haaa..
we got off at a petro kiosk@ mid-peak for the toilets and to pack some food stuff and drinks

the aunties working at the petrol kiosk were even worried for us, haaa..
jayen was still very happy cos he got to take photos of the lovely view from the top

me arh...
seee my damned face u will know liao lor

haha...
it wasnt tat scary lar, cos there were still cars and human beans around..
we hailed a cab down to The Central and we went Lan Kwai Fong for chilling out!!!!! haaa..
still didnt wan to go back hotel..

this is not Lan Kwai Fong, but some very nice buildings along the way, heee...
Hip bistros, bars, pubs and restaurants are all located along the lanes of Lan Kwai Fong. not forgetting LOTS of
ang mohs too, haha.. it's supposedly the famous Happening place for partying.. something like our Mohammad Sultan or Boat Quay..

had some drinks, beers @ a pub before heading back.. we took the MTR, haha... cos the cabs were all out to TOK us -_-
one driver said, "u would have to pay 50HK extra for insurance becos of the typhoon..."
siao.. think we drunk can
tok isst...
we where got so stupid..
MTR is cheap, safe and good lor, haaa..
Saturday 11th Augustwe woke up to a morning of better weather, haaa..hopefully!
It's still gloomy, but at least it wasnt raining as heavily as the day before.
ordered breakfast from the hotel again!! haaa..
i think we both fell in love with having breakkies in the room..darn cosy!
Look at the YUMMY SPREAD!!!! Slurp!
American breakfast set and French Toast!

i dont understand why guys can look so charmingly handsome even when they've just got outta bed.. while i just look totally like shit without make up, hahaa

HNG!
watched tv, washed up before leaving for LUNCH, haha...
still full from the breakfast, but this restaurant below our hotel simply ROCKS!!!! makes u all hungry again!
Satay King

dont know why it's called Satay king when they dont even sell satays -_-...
i dont like the name cos i dont eat satays.. plus the name reminds me of the smelly satay sauce, YUKS hahaa...
Luckily, the place looks good! it has a 'piratey'-theme..
and this thing here damn
tok-gong one..

u have one of this on each table.. just need to press the different buttons for the respective services and u will be served right away! =)
wide array of food to choose from

i had the shark's fin soup with rice and he, unagi rice.. plus 2 jasmine bubble milk tea with pearls! SLURP!

the persistant duo set off to The Peak once again!!! wahahhahaha...
now, the Peak Galleria was OPEN!

this time round, nothing could stop us, haha...

HK has their own Mdm Tussauds!!!
we LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!

the wax figures look very much like the real thing! haaa... we took LOADS and LOADS of photos with the celebrities and famous people =)
over here, ah dear can drool and touch any women he wants. not a problem for me, hahaa...

cos i can also hug ANDY LAU and kiss beckam, buahahahha..

Jay chou!

this is for you, my cousin KAYA!!!! haha... but hor, it doesnt look like him lehhhh

?!? how come he's here also? haha

finally there's someone taller than jayen, haha..
no match for YeowMing who's towering at 2 metres!
after touring round Mdm Tussauds, we went out to the Galleria to look at the scenery, BUT THERE WAS NOTHING TO SEEE -_-
all foggy...damnit

wah.. very nice lor -_-
took the Peak Tram downhill after that...

guess wad i found out?
that jayen is in love with MOUTAINS, BUILDINGS and MORE BUILDINGS -_- haaaa :D

went back Jordan Road to Ladies Market for shopping.. Alas! Nothing much to see, except for a SEA of umbrellas -_-... nothing much to shop around too unless u fancy
pasar malam style.... bought a pair of heels which was nice though and went Pizza Hut for a hearty dinner...YUMMY!

took photostickers after that!!!

headed to Lan Kwai Fong again for some drinks.. cos it's saturday night and we didnt wan to end the night too early, haaa..
msged my colleague, Jessica, who was there with her bf too, but found out that they went back hotel cos of the rain.. if not can go chill together =)

settled at the pub called Twenty-One.. think it was one of the pubs there that plays the best music in our opinion, haaa.. had more drinks before taking a cab back to rest...
the last day, 12th August Sundaywas due for flight back to Sg at 8pm in the evening, so we had the whole morning and noon to do whatever last minute shopping and sightseeing we could..
actually, it was more of the latter.
didnt really shop when we were in Hongkong.
RARE????
haaa..
perhaps our main purpose there was to sightsee instead.. and of cos the secondary reason was we were quite broke also, haha..
i already had the "i'm not here to shop" kind of mentality le, haa..
anyway,
ordered our last breakfast from the hotel...
this time, i had hot porridge and it was really YUMMY!

checked out, left our luggage at the hotel and we went on our way!!
decided that what was most worth was to explore all around Hongkong (new territories excluded of cos, heee) ...by the MTR, haha
we had tons of 'leftover' coins which we used to buy our tickets, hehe..
choosing the furthest station we could go on the island by train.

along the way...

and finally alighting at YaoTong..

saw one shop selling herbal soup and eggs, so we
tabaoed 2 different types of soup and 3 eggs to eat outside the station, hehe..

it's not cheap.. 2 bowls of soup cost 16 bucks SGD.
and
Boh Liao (no ingredients) one...
we went out of the station and realised we're at their neighourhood!! So fun!!!
we sat at this chess-table at one of the void decks.. candid shot of jayen's face when he noticed a disgusting POOL of spit on the ground!!! YUKS!!!!!

jayen tasted one mouthful of his soup and didnt wan to drink it anymore.. it tasted weird he claims, haha...
in the end, i shared my half with him, heh..
next we took the MTR to explore THE OTHER side of the island, keke...

a few more stops before we reached...

looks like it's another of their neighbourhood!!!
Jayen is darn high, cos he loves the simplicity of life... the very down to earth kind of living, heee..
we went to eat MacDonalds YAY!
i love love the stuffed toy key chains!!!! with an additional of 2 bucks along with one extra value meal, u get to bring it home!!! weeeee.....

i wanted the hello kitty one cos it was the cutest, but then was out of stock :(
so i ended up with another creature of which i dunno the name, haa..
but cute toooo! hehe
even the straw holder was cute!

the mcdonald's staff didnt quite understand our english they sort of became very very
'gan cheong' ...and we ended up with so many of them trying to serve us, haha.. even the outlet manager came out and tried to assist in the taking of our orders, keke..
we were rather amused by their over-reaction.. hmm like we're aliens eating at their outlets, haaa..
had our fill and went out to explore around..

nothing much to see also..
set off back to Jordan, had desserts before picking up our luggage back at the hotel..

doggy doggy..

took a cab to Hongkong International Airport... planned to take the Airport Express at first, but the cab driver offered a better deal instead, haaa..
it was a brilliant choice! cos we got to see the Tsing Ma Bridge and Da Yu Shan where the Great Buddha was situated!!!
wanted to go but time didnt allow :(

but at least we got to see it!!! darn happy, haaa...
only thing, couldnt see the buddha statue lar, heeee
we reached the airport!!!!

yay!

cam-whore cos there was still ALOT of time before the check-in.
hehe

end of update!!! haha..
overall, a relaxing trip :)
the only downside was the weather, but i had fun! definitely!
