woke up earlier than usual this morning and when i opened my bedroom door, i had a pleasant surprise!

hung on the door knob was a fuschia pink paper bag...
and inside were these goodies!

was still half-asleep when i met jayen in the morning after his shift-work. went over to his place and he spent the whole morning settling his bills and stuff while i caught some more sleep, heeee....
ordered Mc Donald's for lunch. I WISH I WIN THE 10k IN THE RING 'N' WIN LUCKY DRAW!!!!!!

anyway, they increased the delivery surcharge from 2 to 3 bucks :(

after lunch, he slept while i spent the whole afternoon playing facebook on his laptop -_-
I adopted a radish for a pet and raced it with my friend's pets..
wah lao.. my radish cannot make it lar.. lose all the way, sia suay only ;(

in short, facebook is boring.
play it only when u have like hours to spare.


went over to Shikin's baby boy's birthday bash at Downtown East Costa Sands Resort after jayen went for work in the evening.
i refuse to take a cab there cos i've decided to boycott all taxis (unless absolutely necessary.. like im rushing to some hospital to give birth)
it's damn ex to take a cab now.. and it seems that there is an additional peak period surcharge of 35 per cent of ur metered fare from 5pm onwards.
why? midnight charges start from 5pm now ar??

anyway, it took me1.5 hours to reach the chalet.. it's ok, still worth it... i've got lots of spare time on hand.

today i'm seeing my colleagues for the last time.

of cos we would still keep in touch, but by then, we wont be colleagues anymore =)
attended the last of the meetings, and it's great to be involved yet not involved, haha..

as the different duties lists were flashed across the projector screen, i just felt my heart getting lighter and lighter.
Finally! i won't be 'tortured' any further! keke..
no larrr... kidding, but i think it's high time i break loose from all these altogether. whether temporal or not...
Despite the job satisfaction, impending pay-rise, bonuses.... all i think of NOW is to free myself from classes of rowdy kids and having to rush like a mad woman all the time.. and not forgetting the emotional and mental stress.

who knows i might eventually come back to teaching?

but at this point in time, i think i really need a break. First

darlin shikin was trying so hard to keep back her tears... and when she hugged me twice, i felt my nose twitching already, keke....
i kept asking her not to cry not to cry, but in fact, i was very upset within.. i know im gonna miss her lots. we came in at the same time 3 and a half years ago... and did so many crazy stuff, haha... we laughed and cried together, bitched about ugly air-heads and self-absorbed narcissistic bloggers, complained of the horrendous workload that can be so unnerving at times..... and when she went on maternity leave twice and i missed her like crazy cos there wasnt anybody to sit beside me to bitch with! hahaa..

sigh.
i miss those times darling.

christmas had been a quiet affair this for me this year.
i think im really retiring from those happening countdown parties and chionging sessions, haha..

moreover, he was working on christmas eve's night which was rather sad, but i was somehow glad too we didnt have to be squeezing alongside with the rest of the party-goers in the crowded streets of orchard (and risked being molested by deprived banglahs.. Do they actually still do it now?? hate those pple.. so deprived go geylang countdown lar)

basically it was just chatting on msn with fang and gerald and then turning in early for the night.. cos i still need to wake early for tuition the next day.. which is on christmas day itself. Damn sad rite???? hahaaa... anyway, concerned friends who have been asking me if i've found a new job, NO but im currently giving private tutoring, hehee.. cos it pays rather well.
hope to get more kids by the new academic year though ;)

Ok, enough of work..

caught movie 'I am Legend' on christmas evening. the show's not too bad but we felt the ending was abit sucky.. hmmm..
anyway, the entire orchard road was closed for some concert and it wasn't as crowded too. Just many many many many foreigners and it seemed there were more tourists than locals.

well...when in the whole year would u have the chance to stand in the middle of the road of Orchard snapping photos?

it took me a long while to actually convince myself to get one for him in the end cos im not that sacrificial! ahahhaaa...

he was darn happy to see what it was when he tore open the wrapper. hahaa.. i caught it all on video and that look on his face was just CLASSIC! hahaa..

but i guess that is a present he would be most happy to receive and so i did! heh...somemore, he has never ever let me felt neglected in anyway in our entire courtship period till now. i think he deserved it totally, haha!
