i'm as good as mute today

i've completely lost my voice... *sniff*
so you can imagine how i was supposed to TEACH from 8 to 330pm (plus supplementary classes somemore)
wrote whatever i needed to tell the class on the whiteboard.. my kids were rather co-operative.
very soon, i realised something..... ALL of them started mouthing their words to each other in the same way as i did (as if all have turned mutes too)
....i was actually happily laughing to myself *hehe*

two boys started chasing and slapping each other on the back in class after library period..
i was sooooooooooo hopping mad that i flung the whole box of markers at them... (of cos it didn't hit them or else i could be sacked.... *i aimed the desk mah...) but that gave them a decent shock...
*dun play play with teacher....
no voice, have to use violence liao..no choice...*

but it's super FRUSTRATING to want to scold but couldn't...i felt terribly upset with myself

hee...i know i must have grossed you out..but it's so true!

and being a mute teacher for the day, i couldn't do much constructive teaching at all! i could only let them do tons and tons of written work (boring!!) and they were like.... "HAH?! teacher.. worksheets again??"
and the weather wasn't helpful at all...cos it was so nice for a doze.. zZZzzZZz...

i think the culprit must be the brown cough syrup that was prescribed for me..everytime i take that particular cough syrup, my voice is sure to take a few day's leave... i dunno why that's so.. there's another type of cough syrup that is sweet pink in color... *i rate it as the most HORRIBLe tasting cough mixture ever existed* ...but at least it wouldn't make me lose my voice..

on MC today... slight fever has not completely subsided..

did not feel quite right yesterday morning.. but it was still tolerable in the first half of the day.. the next half, my nose was running like mad and i used up the whole box of tissue... the skin near my nose was flaky due to the constant friction between my runny nose and the tissues...and eyelids felt so hot it's hard to open my eyes...ARGHHH...TORTURE!!!

and my kids just stared..
one wicked one still dared to comment, "teacher, u got bird flu ah?"

i waited for dear to be dismissed from school before he took me to the doc's @ TiongBahru.. it was soooooo far away.. when i reached the clinic (7pm), was already 'half-dead'.. feeling feverish and i couldn't breathe comfortably!! my nose was stuck and yet runny at the same time! ... it just couldnt make up its mind! darn!!

anyway, was given antibiotics, cough, flu and fever medicine... just had a whole course of antibiotics not too long ago..i wonder if downing so many antibiotics within a month would have any undesirable side effects....
*hmmm....maybe boobs will become bigger? wahaha....*

had a fruitful day yesterday!! took alot of photos, YAY!!

Got up @ 6am cos was going for outdoor photoshoot with kiki :)
ask me why i woke up so early when i'm supposed to meet them only at 830am @ Raffles Place MRT......

no, i dont live in Johor..

but i need 2 hours to get myself prepared.. the make up and all.. well, i ain't blessed with dewy good skin, so must work on the touching up process lo. heh..

anyway, met up with the photographers, Gerald and ?? (shucks, i realise now i didn't even ask for his name!) and went ChinaSq for the photoshoot.. didn't have much to say about the photoshoot, except that it was FUN :) ...despite having to prop ourselves up in several crooks and corners.. in very awkward poses and postures.. not forgettng the sticky hair and melting make-up!!!

it started drizzling around 12pm, so we took shelter (actually, it's more for the aircon! heee) at this supposedly FAMOUS 'yu tou mi fen' food-house..

....but... we only ordered 4 cans of 7-Up.. (we were there for the air-con remember? heee) the auntie who took out orders obviously didn't look very happy...
she must be thinking to herself, "these 'si gi na kia' don't know how to appreciate good food! come here nim 'sieben-Up'?!!? #*&*!

dear's fever has subsided but it went up again today.. he went to the hospital to have his blood tested, making sure it wasn't malaria or dengue..luckily the test was negative..

his temp is now 39 degrees celsius..he's going to the hospital if it reaches over 40... :_(

but was suddenly energised after a late afternoon nap, so met him @ Bugis.. saturday wor..never go out like bit wasted.. heee...

we shopped and went around looking for Unisex toilet doors to snap.. for his advertising project again.. we found the perfect one @ Mcdonalds opp Parco.. we attracted alot of strange stares from aunties.. luckily i was with him, or else he would be labelled as one pervertic man taking photos of closed toilet doors (with people inside, mind u..)

the trick is of cos, to act as professional as possible.. the more u looked uneasy, the more people would be suspicious of you..
im quite good with the art of looking professional u know, hehe..
anyway, we were famished after that, settling at this HK food-house(?) @ Burlington for dinner..
i guess the specialities are their desserts

There was this H1801, so we thought it must be it.. stood outside the chalet door, aey? how come it's closed? dear tried the knob but was locked.. we soon realised some big angry malay men staring at us at a corner liaoo..

the chalet number was H01 and not H1801 after dear called his friend for a second confirmation..darn!
we disappeared before we got into real trouble...

then walked all the way through this eerie and creepy footpath to the other 'area'... it's around 10 pm liaoo... Dark ghostly shadows of trees cast on the ground and those white deserted bungalows at the side (those typically used to film haunted movies one...EEEE.....)

met cell-leader and -mate, Dennis and Winnie for lunch @ Parkway Parade's Ajisen yesterday.... a standard bowl of Ramen, 2 Tako Yaki, 2 Tori Karaage, 2 salmon sushi and a glass of cold green tea for only 9 bucks.. **slurpp* hehe.. while both of them still had the capacity for dessert @ Swensen's afterwhich, i was sooo stuffed i deem a glance at its menu would leave my puke all over..

anyway, was going to the ladies when i walked past something aromatic...

in the evening, dear got me over to his place before i went with Esther to Zouk.. he was like, "Aey, you confirm going ahh? you really want to go meh?" and i was like, "yah...i allady ON with esther liao lah....why you keep asking me??"
.. and when he asked the umpteenth time, i shot a disgusted look at him and said.."oei,u senile arh?"
i wonder what's wrong with him..
in the end, he got one of his sch-mates, Jiawei, over and said they were going with us girls.. ohh good 8)

anyway, he got me really really upset when he said my attire wasn't really right for clubbing.. he said it was too 斯文... aey..an off-shouldered top plus a super mini skirt 斯文 mehH? (my grandma was like " 要死啊! 裙子这么短!!" before i hurriedly disappeared out of the house...and more importantly, before my mom sees me and awakens the entire neighbourhood....

so,
i refused to talk to him after that...why has he always got SOOOOO many things to comment about my attire and appearance?!
..make-up, skin, clothes, posture, hair.... (the list goes on...........................................and on......)
i know he meant no harm cos he's said this before, "i'm not criticising, but we must constantly seek for improvement.. i love u, tat's why i bothered to tell you..."
okok, i know that but i hate it when he makes it seem like he's 嫌弃ing me :( he works on negative motivation but definitely not me horr..
and he never understands why i can't look at it in a positive light..

Hurried like mad last Friday.. cos we went straight to Little India @ 2pm after class..
at 130pm, i was cleaning up, rearranging the desks and displaying some kids' works in the classroom.. for the 'Meet the Parents' Session' @ 630pm.. i knew i wont have time to do it after we return from the excursion..

True enough, we were left like 30 minutes for dinner and sorting out of all marksheets / results.. me and shikin didnt even have appetite to take the packed dinners.. cos
dinner looked almost unpalatable..the curry chicken dry to taste, vege stale and bland to sight..
what's more, the curry had a strong smell of garlic & spices (which i totally dont fancy at all)
..YUK.. luckily, clever me always have a small bottle of Listerine mouthrinse in my bag... i cant imagine reeking the parents off their seats..

okay i digressed.. now Back to my wallet..
so all in all..... in that wild haste, no recollection at all where exactly i've last seen that wretched wallet.. in my handbag? in the drawer? in class? or in the tote bag? darn!



i only realised it on Sat afternoon, so
i gently broke the news to my mom.. *after i've stuffed cotton buds into my ears..

she told me to call the POSB 24-hrs service line to terminate my cards.. i gave her a revolting look cos it was like 4AM in the morning!
i was like..."what the...."

anyway, whatever happened after that would be too gory to explicate
heh...

the long and short of it, i have called POSB and checked the transactions of my a/c..
no, nothing withdrawn for these 2 days.. (thou i was secretly hoping there will be deposits..hehe)
good, so i can be quite sure the darned wallet's in school.. PHEW...

dad bought the Contax SL300R for me..YAY! now i can continue with my absurd pastime of candid-snapping photos of frens in their ugliest expressions and posting them here.. haha...kidding**

it costs around 450 bucks? not too expensive cos i dont need a good digi.. only 3.2 megapix, but its SLIM!!! hehe...even slimmer than my former minota.. i dont recommend you to buy that one if you want to take good and professional shots..
dear even said he's never heard of the brand Contax.. still dare to laugh out so scathingly at the point of hearing its ludicrous name..shit :(

(aey, at least it isn't called Kotex hor...)

hey, he's the one who is unacquainted.. its a very-old German brand for premium cameras..some comparable to the top-Nikons..(okok, during my father's time)

anyway, as long as it can live up to its 'calling', im satisfied liao.. im just disappointed my minota spoils so soon :(
