August - BJP 2010 - In the Pink
My health has been out of sorts for the last couple of week. As I am feeling better, I am aging my self with a term that was used many years ago. In the Pink was a way of expressing good or great health. I am also celebrating that I was able to complete this piece the month is was to be completed. I have been a little behind the last couple of months.

July - Hot Hot Hot !!!!!!
Living in the Phoenix, AZ area this time of year is tough. You really have to love the heat or love the air conditioning. My piece is created with mostly orange, reds and yellow. Using these color lets me show how the heat impacts me. The other color beads are a wash of colors and do I feel washed out being in the heat. I am complaining but it will stop quickly when I think of years ago living in the midwest and having to shovel snow. Ahhhh there I feel better.

June - Flower Power
Well June started off with new plantings for a new day. I planted jasmine shrubs and rose bushes. They were amazing once they were planted, watered and loved. Unfortunately the bunnies felt it was more important to eat all three of my jasmine plants (my first plantings in my back yard), they then went to the front yard and ate all of the leaves and stems from a couple of my rose bushes.
The piece I created, will let me keep my flowers with no chance of bunnies getting even close. I created this piece for my flowers and tranquility. I hope you enjoy.

May - Transition
This month was full of changes for me. The greater appreciation for my mom, my husband and myself. Looking at what was really important to me an following through. No stressing over all that I cannot control. Moving on with love, positive mindset and an open mind on what doors are opening and which ones I should walk through.
April - Chakra
I finally sat down and completed my April BJP. A little late but completed. I started with colored beads going from top to bottom with colors as close to the chakra colors as I could. April was a month of meeting new people and handling new challenges and choices for my future. I also, had the pleasure of my mom coming to visit for a couple of weeks.
I planted rose bushes and other flowering plants in order to allow me the time of being one with nature. I love gardening but, the climate is so harsh in the Phoenix summers it is difficult for anything other than cactus to survive.

March 2010
As I put the last bead on my March piece, I feel a loss that this is April and I felt that March zipped by so quickly. March was a month of joy. I had special time with Robin and her husband. My birthday was at the end of the month causing thought for the end of a year and the excitement for the beginning of what I anticipate as an amazing year. I am enjoying the no rules with my embroidery.

BJP February 2010 - Change
I created February's piece with passion, tranquility, and change. My colors are for spring and my design includes hearts and flowers. February was a transition month for me. I am spreading my wings farther then I thought possible, experimenting with self created techniques and designs. What I find amazing about all our work is that we keep creating with the same guidelines but the though process for completion of our BJP of the month is so different. I am always amazed by our designs and how far each and everyone takes them.

January 2010 - BJP
Today, I completed my first piece. For me this was about creating out of the box. Using colors and shapes that were not matching. Funny how they ended up complimenting each other anyway. I used a bit of purple in my piece as I have just become aware of a place called Eve's Place. This is a woman's shelter to protect them from a violent spouse/boyfriend. The color that was chosen to represent violence is the color purple. The design just flowed with little thought, I just did it. The shape of my piece reflects spreading my wings in many way.
