Holy Candy!!! (Halloween)

Last week we had our ward trunk or treat! 

Here is our Rapunzel and Pascal! 

You dont get the full effect unless you see the back of both! 

 They got lots of candy, we (kinda) ate dinner, and then we had a costume parade for the kiddos! I was so happy that Emmett let Hailey drag him around for the parade! They are so cute together!!!!

On Halloween Hailey got to trick or treat at preschool. The teachers at the high school, where she goes to preschool, sign up to have the kiddos come to their rooms during school and HOLY COW!!! I guess since they know they only need enough for 18 kids they plan big!  Hailey came home with so much candy, and treats, and goody bags, and other things that we could have skipped trick or treating that night and we would have been more than fine! We are talking her backpack was full and so was her bucket! I even went through the candy she got and pulled stuff out and added it to the bag we had left over from the trunk or treat and it was enough that I didnt have to buy any candy! 

However we did not skip it! Hailey and Emmett's, Nelson and Yeates cousins came over and we all trick or treated together. Here they all are ready to go!

Hailey cant wait anymore! 

We had so much fun and now I'm pretty sure we have enough candy for the rest of the year! 

Our Dynamic Duo!

They have their regular sibling scuffles but for the most part these two do everything together! Hailey is such a great big sister and very protective. No one but her is going to push her brother around! And Emmett thinks Hailey hung the moon. 

Our routine for saying bye to daddy as he leaves for work in the morning!

Right before the tackle! They are constantly wrestling and for the most part they have fun, until one is really pinned and the other is taking a little too much joy in it!

Hailey would swing all day if I let her and these days Emmett would too but I cant sit out there that long to push him! 

So they revert to this

One day I tied Emmett's blanket around him and now they run around the house like this often! 

I adore that they are such good friends! Most of the pics are from the back but sometimes thats the only way I can get them!

Haliey's First Day of Preschool

We were very fortunate to snag the last spot for the Little Friends Preschool at Clear Brook due to a cancellation this year! I was a teacher in that class when I was in high school and I am sooo excited that she got in to it.  They do so many fun things and because its a class there at the high school and they are interviewed to get in and graded on their work so its usually pretty good and creative. There are 11 teachers in the classroom with the 18 kids so I know she is being well looked after.

Don't worry about the teacher's clothes on the left, it was homecoming week for them and it was tacky day or something like that. They even sent each kid home with their own Mum for homecoming on Wed. (Its a Texas thing apparently if you've never heard of a mum. Think: corsage on steroids) 

This is one of the pictures the high school teacher sent out in an email this week. 

Its so fun to hear about everything she did that day when she gets home.

We Love to Dance!

The kiddos love "dance parties" and the Shrek sound track is our fave! 

And here is just a little of Emmett, with some appearances from Hailey. I noticed I dont have many videos of him and I want to remember his little personality at this age.

Happy 4th Birthday Hailey!!!

We didnt do a big party this year. Kept it pretty low key, but we did have an awesome 4yr old requested dinner. Hot dogs, sliced apples with peanut butter, and jello, oh and grape juice. 

Ever since we visited Charlotte in Ohio back in January, Hailey has LOVED a little 4 inch plastic Starlight pony that Charlotte had. I mean she talked about getting one all the time and every time we go to my parents, it is the first thing Hailey looked for. Charlotte decided she wanted to give it Hailey as her birthday present. I think the picture says it all. 

The sign in the background is from the Primary Presidency. My friend Kayla, who is in the presidency, brought it over that morning! I love that they take the time to do that for all the kids in the primary! 

Hailey's birthday could only be complete with a pink and purple cake with My Little Pony figurines on top. (Thank you Chase for picking those up for me!)

Rain + More Rain = Lots of Fun!!!

Around Mid July we had probably a week and a half of rain.....EVERYDAY!!!

July 4th plus a couple days!

We went to the city parade for the 4th! So, so, SOOOO hot, but pretty fun!
