I Think I am Crazy Sometimes

Often after about 5ish I find myself counting down the minutes to bed time. Then I look at pics like these and I wish they were awake to play with some more!

Happy Birthday Hailey!!!

We had a blast for Hailey's 3rd birthday! I asked her almost a month before her birthday what kind of birthday party she wanted and she said a Care Bear party, and that was her answer every other time she was asked!

We played "Pin the belly badge on Cheer Bear". I have to give a shout out to Jonny right here because he drew that Care Bear from looking at a picture!

We decorated bear shaped sugar cookies as Care Bears.

And we even had a Rainbow walk!

Of course we had to have lunch! PB&J, fruit, and rainbow jello blocks!

I made sure to get a couple good pics of his toothless grin at the beginning of last week because with the way those gums were looking I knew it wouldn't be long before he got his first tooth. It finally cut through last Thursday! (and yes he is chubby! One of his nicknames, even Hailey uses, is "Pudge". But what could be better than a rolly baby to squeeze!)

5 Months

Look who is a supported sitter these days!

We just love this not so little guy so much! He's growing up too fast! I dont know his stats cause we havent gone to the dr but at the rate he's been going, I'd bet he's between 19 and 20 lbs by now and another half an inch or so.

He's doing pretty good with his rice cereal. He can roll all over the ground and turn himself in circles to get what he wants, no scooting yet, but he's gonna get it soon cause he gets super frustrated when he cant reach stuff.

He is a wonderful night sleeper, from 8ish to about 6ish and then goes back to sleep till around 7:30 or 8. Not the most awesome napper, but I take what I can get.

I love waking up to this every morning!

So I know its common for it to be SUPER hot in Texas during the summer, but I was so excited yesterday that it FINALLY was out of the 100's+ that we celebrated by going to the park!

Emmett ready to go! We took the hat off about 5 minutes later. He absolutely HATES hats, kinda funny.
Hailey was so happy. We have barely even played outside at all the past month or two. You know its bad when your daughter asks to play outside, you tell her "not right now", and she responds with the question, "Because the sun is out?" We try to go out in the evening but as soon as the sun is not "out" the mosquitoes are. They arent terrible this year (due to our lack of rain for the past...who even knows how long now) but Hailey is semi allergic to them so we try pretty hard to avoid them.

She's pretty good at the stuff at the park. I didnt even know what that thing was for, she climbed on without watching any other kids and just did it like she knew all along. Go figure.
