Twi-Hards!!!

While in Port Angeles over Thanksgiving break, mom, my brother Jake and I had a fun night out. For all you you "twi-hards" you'll know that the Twilight series books takes place in a small town called Forks. Port Angeles is about 1 hour from Forks, and Port Angeles is mentioned in the books. Well before Forks became so popular, I had spent time there, mostly on the beaches close to Forks. So anyway, we were there for the opening week of New Moon. We decided since we were THERE we had to go see it. Jake, mom and I arrived 5 min late for the 5:15 showing, so we walked around town, went to a old book store, ate some fish and chips, and went to the "Twilight Store". Then to finish off the night we got to see New Moon, which i was really excited about seeing. Jake and mom both got Hot Coco with the Fish and chips, weird combo... but hey they liked it! This restaurant was on the ocean.

Mom and I outside the Theatre.... again all you Twilight fans know this is the theatre they went to in the book =)

Jake's idea to get this fun shot... walking the streets of PA.

OK... so this store I mentioned above... a store dedicated to Twilight series. that's all... nothing more. Every single thing in this store is Twilight related. Pretty crazy!

Mom holding the apple like on the cover of the book.

These were my favorite! Twi-lighters... get it =) I might of even bought one if they didn't cost $5something! Made me laugh though.

Again, me with the apple.

Jake eating the "forbidden fruit" with PA sign in the back.

This was the "team Edward" section.

Posin with Edward and Bella.

All in all, it was a fun night. For those who care about my opinion of the movie, of course not as good as the book. But I did enjoy it. I felt like it was rushed... they had to cut out so much of the depth to get in all the story. I realize this is how a lot of book-movie conversions go. I want to watch it again, when it comes to the dollar theatre in Lewiston probably. And just to clear one thing up. I don't consider myself a "twi-hard" by any means, but I did enjoy the books and movies!

Halloween... a few months late

This post is Late, yes, but non the less needs to be documented. You see, this past Halloween I cooked the pumpkin seeds, my first attempt, and the were great! I am growing up! (For those of you who don't know I was an extremely picky eater, you would have never caught me eating pumpkin seeds). (oh and to most of the general population I am still a very picky eater). Anyway they were good, and healthy mom.
Cailin and MJ cam over and we carved pumpkins.

Ta-daaa!!

Ohhh... spooky.. or not.

But you see, Sean and I had actually carved ours a few days earlier, so while the girls were carving I made these yummy rice crispy treats.

And there you have it. Sean and I didn't dress up or go to any parties on Halloween day. I don't remember all the details of the day, but Sean had been hunting most of the day, got home late and was tired out. We played card games together, and had a nice night at home. It was fun.
