Just got back from Music Camp yesterday..
Suuuper tired lor... neck no good becos dun have my beloved bed for two nights.. well, it could be much much worst..

Played many weird games with many confusing rules..with many funny people.. haha.. First time i played bass with a band.. new experience..
preaching was fantastic..
- First Love
- "I am a donkey"
- I am more important than my minitry.. munching on God's presence in everything we do.

I wanna thank God really.. because i was actually very worried about how i am going to sleep there with my bad neck condition.. i tried asking others to lend me some foldable bed but decided not to use it becos it's way too heavy for me to carry all the way to tampines.. I was praying that i can get a mattress to sleep on.. and when i went there they announced that all the ladies would sleep in the nursery room... which means.... there will be mattresses!!!!!!! WHAHAHA.. but when i go the nursery i didn't see any so i didn't even try searching for it.. and i got a teeny bit disappointed... but despite my silent complains, GOD is still good to me.. suddenly a voice came out from a corner of the room.. "Hey we found mattresses here, we will be taking two.. anyone needs the last one?"

and guess who got the last piece of mattress?

the girl who prayed so hard and worried too much.. hah..

me.

God hears our silly little requests. and He answers silly little prayers. just when you think your prayer request wasn't serious enough.. just when you think it's just a trivial matter.. just when you think some of your thoughts aren't worth praying about.. God hears it. God knows it all. And God takes it seriously.. becos He is serious about every little thing about you.. You are number 1 in His heart..

But...

Is He number 1 in yours?

Do you even know the God I am talking about?

when you borrow things from people, it is your responsibility to let the person know how long you will borrow it. and dun anyhow pass to other people without letting the owner know. it may be a small object you are borrowing but it doesn't make the responsibility any smaller. you may be borrowing from someone close, but the same responsibilty applies. the owner might need that thing you borrowed. and what if you can't get it back in time? must the owner compromise just becos of irresponsibility?

this is a general post and it is not pointing fingers at anybody. if you feel bad after reading this, maybe you should learn something from this post.

I recorded a jap song that i like (did this quite long ago.. heh).. it's called nukumori.. i didn't sing the full song though..it's about the mother's warmth.. something which i miss dearly...

the guitar playing not perfect.. neither is the singing.. but well.. i hope it is at least enjoyable...

The english translation of the song:

Like the warm autumn weather
like the sunlight shining the window
Like a clean T-shirt
or a sunny spot in park
it’s a warmth like that...

Like crying during a sad movie
or laughing at pictures
Like a Caramel Macchiato
or a meatbun from the convenience store
Your warmth, its
warmer than all those things
Warming my body in spring, summer, autum and winter

That warmth has
given my strength
and the courage to walk forward
Sometimes strict Sometimes gentle
The love that fills my heart
it will never change
Your warmth is
warmimg my body today

It is like the way you don’t worry
like the way you just smile
it is even like the warmth of tearful nights
Your warmth, it is like
the melody of the furusato (*)
or the nursery rhymes you sang

Your warmth
envelopes me
Protecting me
even though its a bit embarrassing
Though I can’t find the words to thank you
Your warmth,gentle and strict
Mom,thank you

Why are the important people in your life important?
There are many things you do to the "important people" that don't make them feel important at all...

like....
dun you think you tend to be late when you meet someone you are very familiar with (family, close friends), more than when you meet an outsider or someone whom you don't know very well? (like a new friend, your teacher, your boss).
When you are late for a meeting/gathering with you family, does it make you feel as bad as when you are late for a meeting with an outsider? in your heart are you thinking "aiyah.. nevermind lah.. i meeting my best friend, she won't mind one lah..." ? what if your best friend minds? but she just did not voice out becos she doesn't want it to affect the friendship?

another issue...
the tone of speaking... why are we usually more polite to an outsider than we are to our close ones? I really dunno...

there are many many other issues... but...
I am a bit lazy to type...

well, i am not just talking about other people... i am doing some self-check here too...
i am so far from being Christ-like...
