Part 2 Of The Last Couple Months

When swimming season began this year the kids asked for something cool for the pool.  Well our pool is not that exciting and is pretty much called a play pool but it is a pool so that we should be grateful.  But we still needed something fun so Paul checked out some slides we could get to help liven up our pool.  This is what he found and if it only lasts one year well that's okay because it was such a good price we can buy another next year.  So Paul aired it up and the kids have had a ton of fun doing all kinds of crazy stuff off it!

 Las Vegas Baby!
We were so luck to be able to spend a long weekend in Vegas with our friends the Petersen's from Ohio. Paul and I have never been to Vegas and were pretty excited to go explore and have a fun weekend with adults.  Our friend Shawn travels there often so he really knows the city and the cool things to check out.  I enjoyed all the different places to eat, the shops and the shows that we were able to see.  We stayed at Caesars Palace and it was beautiful, I loved the pools and the rooms were really nice.  It was such a fun trip we have decided to meet our friends there every summer.

Fathers Day!
The kids wanted to surprised Dad with breakfast so they got up early and put together an amazing feast.
 Mason made dad a picture.

Mariah made dad one of her famous cards with tie cut outs.

Kenzie made dad a tie out of duck tape. He even wore it to church and received many compliments.

I really need to do better keeping this thing up dated!

Part 1 Of The Last Couple Months

I can't believe its been almost 2 1/2 months since I've updated my blog.  I guess the old saying is true, "Time flys when your having fun!"
So here's part 1 of the last few months.
Dance pretty much controls our life during the spring.  When your doing 5 competitions it goes by quick and they all pretty much run together.  This year was great for both the girls.  Mariah really came into her own with dance this year and has become very good with the tricks, we really are so proud of her!  Kenzie stepped it up this year with 2 solos and really showed the judges what she was made of.  We have been in AZ now for 2 years and have been at 2 different studios, well why make this year any different.  We have decided to move again to another studio, this one I hope to call home for a few more years.  It is one of the top schools in our area and it offers better technique for Kenzie and the tricks for Mariah, please have your fingers crossed for us.

The other thing that occupied our nights 2 to 3 times a week was T-Ball.  We really enjoyed watching Mason this year learn the rules of t-ball.  He really came out of his shell with hitting the ball and running around the bases.  So the next 8 pictures are so funny, you will see the ball coming to Mason and watch what he does after he gets it, priceless!  He also proved to be a great hitter and that boy can run fast!

After school was out we took a trip to California for a long weekend.  We went to the Knotts Berry Farms, the beach and we took them to the Strawberry Festival so they could meet a few kids from the Disney Channel.  Kenzie brought her friend Kenzie and I think they really had a good time with all the fun stuff we did.

The "Bird House"
There was just this one day that the only thing Mason would talk about was building a bird house.  So of course all day I did all I could to put it off onto Paul.  I would say "well that's something your going to have to talk to dad about."  Finally when Paul got home from work Mason started to bug him about making a bird house.  I was leaving that night so Paul was going to have to figure this one out and he did.  They went to home depot and bought a bird house for Mason to put in our back yard.  He even bought a little nest and Mason put a box of raisins for the birds to eat, not sure how they will eat them but its the thought that counts right!

Stay toned for Part 2

It's T-Ball Time Baby!

Can you believe it, my little man started T-ball. As you can see from the smile on his face he had a great time.  It was so cute how most of the boys didn't have a clue what they were doing.  Then you could see them watching the older ones and then they started picking little things up on what to do. I am so excited for little man with this little T-ball season.  I know it will bring confidence and a love with being part of something plus I am way excited to be taking pictures of something other then dance!

They started out with catching and throwing to a partner.  This is something that little man and dad will need to practice in the backyard.

Then they had the kids move to the field while a few were up to bat.

So the excitement is wearing off a little while they wait for their time to bat.

It time to bat my friends.
Our son knew what to do here, thank goodness my husband bought him a t-ball for the backyard.  I was real proud of how well he hit the ball.

Can you see the ball in the left corner, what a hit!  Next time I'll know to sit on the other side so I don't have the little boy in the pic that is afraid of getting hit by the ball or bat.
These two are a pair for sure and I am so glad he has a buddy to do things with.

#2 Baby!
