School Registration

It is that time of year again to register kids for school. This year wasn't too bad. We got Scott's schedule figured out (at least this semester) Scott has honors English, Math, Biology, and German and he is also taking classes online (Personal Finance) This is going to be a super busy year with his classes, getting his Eagle Scout, Payson City Youth Council, German Club and Science Olympiad Tim's schedule is about the same he is not in any honors classes this year and he will be in the Spanish Club instead of German Club and everything else Scott is in, Tim can't wait until track. Tim is looking forward to school I hope he has a better year then last year! I told the boys if their grades drop or they get in a fight I will go to school with them in my pj's and robe with my hair in curlers. I am so glad that Paul is really smart so he can help them with their homework. Nebo School District started a new thing where they are changing their Math, English, and Science to a common core. I am not sure about it, It is supposed to be a national thing so whatever school you go to you will all be on the same page. I think it will be a good idea if they were to do that when they were younger. It is really going to be helpful for Jake and Brandon. Scott's English teacher is Mr. Burton and I have known Curtis since 5th grade so I have a hard time taking him serious. Jason had Mr. Burton for English too!!!! I can't wait for school to start already on the count down :) I wish Scott would be a little bit more out going like Tim so I am having him be apart of the clubs and different things hopefully that will help. If only I can get Tim to sit down and shut up for 5 min he would do really good in school. This year I will have all my kids in school for the whole day that is going to be so strange. Brandon is really excited to be going into 4th grade with Mr. Gowans and Jake has Ms Olsen she is a new teacher (hopefully she is good) we have not had very good luck with new teachers. Positive thinking :) If we got a new principal at the elementary that would be fantastic. Looking forward to a fantastic school year!!!!

Scouts

Last night was Brandon's first pack night. It was so much fun!!! He has already earned his Bobcat and many more badges!!!! Brandon had to pin the Bobcat on my shirt but they have started a new tradition not sure why. But Paul had to hold Brandon upside down as he pinned the Bobcat pin on me (luckily I didn't get stuck) after they did their skit we went to the gym and played kickball our team won, Jake had so much fun playing!!!
Scott and Tim were not able to come to pack night with us. They were doing a service project at the Walkers. Their service project was to build Eagle nests and next weekend they are taking them down to the Mona area and setting them up. The boys had fun!! I am so glad that they like to go and do fun things with Scouts

Nicki's accident

On May 26th as we were celebrating LeeAnn's graduation I received a phone call from Lyna telling me that her sister Nicki (Jake's Godmother) has had a horrible accident. Rushed to the hospital without a second thought.

When I got there I had found out that Nicki was Mtn biking down the easy trail at Sundance with her niece Raquel's fiancée Jason. They were at the last 5 mins of the trail on a access road that had dips, bumps don't know what to call it. She wrecked luckily she was wearing a helmet and that someone was riding the ski lift up and saw it and was able to alert the authorities. They arrived on scene within a couple of minutes. Her breathing was very labored so she was life flighted to UVRMC and rushed into emergency surgery to try and relieve the pressure on the brain. At first they thought her jaw was shattered but it wasn't. Some how she has no broken bones, sprang. The right side of her face is black and blue and swollen. But the worst part is the injury on the left side of her brain. She has a lot of swelling on the left frontal lobe that is pushing on her eye. There is some bleeding in the front part of her brain. She also has small liaisons all over her brain. No one knows if it was a medical condition that caused her to wreck or if she just lost control. She is still unconscious and it has been 9 days. The dr said that she has blood pooled around her brain stem on the part that wakes you up. He does not expect her to wake up for at least 2 weeks. There are small signs that she is doing. Don't know if she is doing it on her own or if its reflex. Please pray for her and her family they need all the help.

LeeAnn's graduated!!!!

I am so excited for LeeAnn!!! She did it graduated from Provo High class of 2011
I promised myself I wouldn't cry but I did, I am so proud of her! She looked gorgeous as usual in her white cap and gown.
Amusing part of graduation were some kids bouncing a beach ball around before the teacher took it. Also when the school district said she announces that Provo High class of 2009 has graduated. I wasn't quite sure I heard her right until I looked at Paul and he had the same puzzled look as everyone else.
Watching LeeAnn grow into a beautiful, smart, young lady has been an exciting and very proud time of my life. I am so very honored to be a part of it. Love you LeeAnn so proud of you and can't wait to see and be part of your next adventure in life. Congrats!!!!!!

Heart broken

My heart is so heavy right now. Wish I knew how to make things right again. I love this person so much and would do anything for them. I wish they only knew that they are not alone that their family loves them so much!!!! I know I am supposed to give it time but how much can a person take getting ignored and rejected all the time? I will not give up!!! Just want that person to know all they have to do is call, text, send me a message and I would drop everything to be there for them. You are such a inspiration to all of us, your looks are incredible gorgeous, your sense of humor is great, your laugh contagious, along with your beautiful smile, your inner beauty shines like a beacon in the night. I am so sorry for everything. Please know I love you with all my heart and soul

But its going to rain :( Brandon has a DARE party. Tuesday Scott and Tim are supposed to go to Lagoon, Brandon has Field Day in the morning and swim party in the afternoon (again its supposed to rain) I really hope they have good weather (fingers crossed) Wednesday is Awards Assembly for Brandon and clean out lockers at the Jr high. It is also Payson High's high school graduation :) Thursday is the most important day of the week for me, it is LeeAnn's High School graduation I am SO VERY BERRY PROUD of her!!!! It is also the last day of school over here. The boys will miss their last day of school for LeeAnn's graduation. We are so excited for her!!! It will be a sad but bitter day. I remember her first day of kindergarten seems like it was only yesterday :( Where does the time go???? I would say that I won't cry but I already tear up every time I think about it. I only hope she knows how proud of her we are and how much we love her!!! I know I have made a lot of mistakes and I can only hope that she know that I love her with all my heart and that I am sorry.
I just want to say congratulation to the class of 2011!!!!

Jake's kindergarten graduation

I can't believe my baby graduated from kindergarten!!! (sniff sniff)

It was an exciting day yet it was a sad day. Before we even left the house to go to the school Jake made me promise that I wouldn't cry. But I couldn't keep that promise as soon as we took him to his class and got him balloons I started to cry. I realized how much he has grown up and I don't have anymore kids that will be in kindergarten :(

Jake looked so handsome all dressed up in his church suit getting his graduation gown on. He was so cute!!! I did video some of it but I was laughing, crying, yelling, and clapping my hands so it is not the best video but it works for us. Every time Jake noticed that I was filming him or when Paul took a picture he got embarrassed his face went red and he would put his head down which made it even cuter.
They sang some really cute songs and had actions that went with them. (Loved it) Out of all the boys Jake was the only one who sang all the songs and did every action. Scott and Brandon would just sit there and Tim would only do half of them. The ones he liked.
They did the pledge of allegiance, this old man, I like being me (Paul's favorite) an alphabet song, (Jake had to hold up a bell with a picture on it for the letter Y) then my favorite song first grade, first grade. Then I was asked to put their little caps on the kids (eyes welling up with tears) they did a video with all the activities and had a picture of Jake in his cap and gown on the screen when Mrs Thomas called his name to go get his diploma. Cried again. Brandon wasn't very happy having mom cry in the school in front of friends. I am going to miss Mrs. Thomas she is an awesome teacher and has helped Jake grown so much in her class.

The next day was kindergarten assessments Jake was a little nervous but he did AWESOME!!!! He only missed 2 questions and that put in above 95% Jake is on level E for reading which is really great!!! He would have been on level F but he had trouble saying the word "making" it don't matter to me what level he is on I am just so very berry proud of him. I can't believe all the things they had to learn in kindergarten! I only remember eating a snack, then taking a nap and playing. I can't believe he will be graduating high school in 2022!! Don't want to think about that I told Jake to go and pick out a BIG rock, he did then he asked why? I told him so I can put it on his head so he won't grow anymore. I laughed he didn't think it was that funny because he wants to be bigger then Scott. Jake I am so proud of you and love you so very berry much!!! You are a good boy who is super smart please continue to keep up all the good work you have and are doing.

Love,
Mom

Forgot but not forgotten

I know it has been a really long time since I have created a blog. I actually forgot that I even had one. Here we go, there has been so many things that has happened to me and my family since my last update. I will try to fill everyone in without boring you to tears. Please be patient with me I have never been really good at all this writing stuff. I have learned so much and I know with all the experiences that I have had that I will be a better wife, mother, sister, friend, daughter inlaw, and sister inlaw. I am not perfect even though I may think I am at times. Realizing that we never stop learning, if you open your heart and mind you will continue to learn something new every day. The journey begins...

Love,
Misty
