Swirlydoos 12 Days of Christmas Contest: Day EIGHT

Welcome to Day Eight of our 12 Days of Christmas Contest!
We LOVE seeing the projects y'all have created so far, and Oh My Gosh....
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas
(you need to hum the tune along with the words)
in our Gallery and we can't wait to see more!

YOUR ASSIGNMENT: Create/alter at least 2 Christmas ornaments!
Incorporate bling/pearls,  music note paper/old book paper,  little angel/snowflake
and upload your project in the gallery by midnight, EST!
Here are some examples:

Some music note paper, wrapped around a glass ornament, finished of with an little angel and some pearls.

I used a decoupage technique on this one. Teared old book paper in little pieces and used Multi Medium to add the paper to the glass ornament.
**TIP** Lightly mist the pieces of paper with water, this way they are easier to work with. Then finished it of.

How about some fake snow (powder) inside the bauble? The feathers and Prima Marketing Resin are so pretty together.

This one has definitely some color, and was done in NO time.

I love this Ornate Frame Die from Tim Holtz. So versatile and gives you the opportunity to create beautiful Christmas Ornaments.

This, vintage Santa, one is double sided. I cut 2 ornate frames and glued a piece of transperancy between them. This is the front of my ornament and in the picture below you can see how the back looks.

I hope you feel inspired already.

Again, YOUR ASSIGNMENT: Create/alter at least 2 Christmas ornaments!
Incorporate bling/pearls,  music note paper/old book paper,  little angel/snowflake
and upload your project in the gallery by midnight, EST!
We can't wait to see YOUR ornaments!

Swirlydoos 12 Days of Christmas Contest Day 6

Good morning,
Are you all enjoying these 12 days of Christmas assignments, as much as we do?
We love all the entries!!
And did you have fun with Rae's assignment (giftbox) yesterday?
I have the next one for you, but with a little twist:

TRIANGLE, RED, GOLD, GREEN, MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Your Assignment:
Create a GIFTBOX incorporating:  a triangle,
(it can be the box itself, (don't panic, I made a template for you) or just a triangle shape on your box)
the colors red, gold & green, and a "Merry Christmas" sentiment.

And now for some inspiration, here's my gift box:

Of course this box is only for inspiration, and you can give it your own twist, using your own supplies. However I did a step by step tutorial on this box, and created a template, which you can find in the Contest thread.

so again, your assignment is to create a GIFTBOX using:
TRIANGLE, RED, GOLD, GREEN & MERRY CHRISTMAS!

For this box, I used Kaisercraft PP from their Christmas Carol Collection, some laces and trims from my stash and from our Decemeber kit, Prima Marketing Resin piece, Petaloo Berries,
and a ribbon with the Merry Christmas sentiment.

Make your gift box, and upload it to the gallery in the contest section by midnight (EST), TONIGHT! The winner will be posted later in the day.
Good luck, and have fun!!!!!

Every month, Beggahuna draws up a sketch that goes with the kit, and this month she created this beauty:

Here's my take on it:
Cherish
The baby in the picture, is my new born Grandson, Levi.
And I thought this sketch was perfect for this photo.

The Viva Decor Clear Stampset came in the Main kit. I stamped the flourishes using Distress ink in Seedless Preserves. The wooden leaves are Prima Marketing and came also in the Main kit.

Don't you just love that corner? I love it! It was on a sticker sheet (Kaisercraft) and came in the Main kit.

Writing home
This picture was taken, when our oldest daughter, Kelly, was on vacation in Turkey. She was writing a postcard to send home, when her boyfriend snapped this picture of her.

Gosh, how much I love this kit. Krissy JAM PACKED them with lots of  Must Haves!!!
Those darling, Prima Marketing crochetted doilies, wood icons, the beautiful say it in pearls,
Viva Decor clear stamps, and gorgeous trims.

I stamped the inages on smooth white scrapbook paper and cut them out.

Chubby Little Feet
For this page I tried to combine a modern picture with a more classic layout.
I wanted the photo to stand out most and kept the background very quiet.
The strip at the bottom is Heidi Swapp Invisible (resist) paper. This paper also came in the Main kit.

This Giant Prima flower is from ages ago. I guess it was waiting for the right project.

I cut some leaves from the green ribbon and coated them with Multi Medium, then when it was dry
I sprayed the leaves with Heidi Swapp spray ink in white, which came in the Medium Add On.

LOVE
The title says it all. This is my daughter Kelly with her son Levi.
I loved this photo so much. The little peanut was winking to grandma! lol

This kit is so, beyond words, GORGEOUS! I mean the papers are beautiful but the embellies/goodies that come along with this kit are simply amazing.
