I am not going to warn you (no more) for the heavy photo post,
cause I think you know that by now from me. So here we go!
First up are some cards I made with this Gorgeous kit.
#1

#2

#3

Onto my next project.
Remember those old vintage wash boards, they used to use back then?
Well I had one of them and it was a real "stand in the way" thing.
So when I was (again) finding it a new place, an idea came to mind.
I turned it over, and the back was just perfect for my idea, soooooo
here's my OTP project

I added a few layers of Gesso to the top and while the last layer was still wet, I sprinkled some, fake snowflakes powder and some fine glitter on it.  I also added gesso to the twine and those gorgeous flowers that came in the kit. The mini cloth pins were sitting in my stash forever.

I love these beautiful papers by Kaisercraft.

In the Main Kit there was also a sheet of "from - to" tags. I folded mine double, and hang them on the twine. Those little pinecone(ish) thingies are Else propjes. From the "Els" tree.
I picked them up from the ground.

gave them a little Gesso coat.

The hingie, is a recycled painting - hanging system, I sanded/painted/inked them and beat them up, with Tim Holtz texture hammer, just like I did with the brads.
The paper edges were dabbed with Gold paint dabber. Whilst the paint was still wet I added Multi medium (matte) and sprinkled Diamond Dust glass glitter over it. When it was all dry I rubbed some Stickles over it. (diamond)
I took a 12# acrylic sheet and cut it to fit, using a deco scissor. I then sanded the outher edges to get a frosty look. After my stickles (on the center paper) were dry I hand stitched it to my acrylic sheet.

The pearl beading, was something I found at a dollar store. I took quickly a picture of it for you to see...
I had to tape them down to my craft sheet, cause they are going EVERYWHERE.
I just want you to see, how easy you can make them yourself.
It is 1 main thread (the horizontal one) the other short strings, are knotted on that main thread.

Okay, let's continue
I so love that beautiful Prima Marketing, metal embellishment, that came in the kit.
Actually there were 2 in the kit. (still have one, Yah!!!)
I wrote the word family on a scrap of paper and then glued the glass on top of it, using Beacon's 3 in 1 Craft Glue. Actually, I used this glue for the whole project.
I added a real holly leave, which I dried for a few days over the heating, and added some Else projes and a vintage bell.

Love, love, love, this badge!!!!! I added some Gesso to it and some diamond stickles.

next.........
just a little surprise component here

The acryl sheet, can be opened up (henche the hingies)
And this is what the inside looks like.
What is that?  you may ask. Well.....
For me Christmas is being together with family and enjoy eachothers company and stories.
And I thought to myself.... why not make a family game. Or two?!!
So that's what I did.

Oh, almost forgot... this beautiful piece of paper with the saying on it,
is sandwiched between the acrylic sheet and the front center paper.

And this bottom part, holds the 2 games.
The next few photo's, shows the opening up of the game holders.
(what word should I use for that?)

On the left I wrote "DO" and on the right I wrote "Tell"
It is like a "hints" game (do)
and a Q&A game (tell)

Every (game) card is cut from white cArt-Us cardstock and decoupaged with old bookpaper, then gesso-ed and stamped and inked and... you get the picture.

Here are some (blurry - sorry for that) pictures of the DO cards.

And these are the Q&A cards.

Here are some of them in close up. It shows more detail.
On the back, (actually the front) of my washboard, I added a plastic bin,
for getting in new idea's and questions for the game. This way I can add more, or replace them.
I'm looking forward to Christmas already. The games will be so much fun to play.

That's it from me today, I hope you enjoyed my projects.

Round Robin for Cards

Where?
That is where you can find this amazing challenge.
This month, Rae is our hostess and she thought of some awesome twists for us.
*** Use: ***
a border punch
buttons
hand written sentiment.
The first round, due date was today, and since I was week 1 I created this card.

Last weekend when we had a come together with the girls, I got to use Gerry v. Gent her Martha Stewart punch. (lucky me) So I punched some card stock which I used for backing up my fabric.
I inked up the edges to stand out more. And I wanted a Shabby x-mas tree, so I started folding some doilies. and voila... a tree was born. I rubbed some Rock Candy Distress stickles over my doilies, for extra glitter.
The snow is molding paste. (last month's Swirlydoos Technique kit)
I sprinkled some glitter over it.

The picture above, shows the dimension on this card.

Here you can see the rubbed on, Rock Candy Distress stickles, on the doilies and if you look closely,
you can see the loose glitter on the molding paste.

Check out the Round Robin for Cards challenge forum. You will be surprised how much
inspiration you'll find there. Those ladies are really sooooo creative!

Have a happy weekend y'all!

cArt-Us Mini Collection Christmas (CHG)

Hi All,

Today I'm going to share some projects I made,
 using the
cArt-Us mini Christmas collection,
which I got from CHG (Creative Hobby Groups) to work with.

First up are some cards.
I used the cArt-Us 6x6 Scandinavian Christmas paperpad for this card as well as the  Bling embellishments and the Puffy Alpha stickers.

These are real Holly leaves and I picked "Else propjes" for pine-cones. I added some Gesso to it and a twill bow and topped it of with a cArt-Us square bling.

I took a close up picture of the paper, so that you can see how beautifully detailed it is.
Just love the glitter on there.

On this card I used a sheet of paper that comes in the cArt-Us  6x6 paperpad.
I distressed the edges - added some Ranger gold Paint Dabber and while the paint was still wet
I dipped my card into Diamond Dust glass glitter.
I got a doily and some fabrics out, to give it some extra interest and texture.

Onto a little bit of home decor
To bring some cozy, warm candle light feeling, I created this little set.
On the bigger altered candle, I used paper from the cArt-Us 6x6 Scandinavian Christmas paperpad.
I fussy cut the image and simply wrapped it around the glass.
On the smaller candle I added the cArt-Us Scandinavian masking tape.
On both candle-glasses, I added some Beacon's 3 in 1 Craft Glue and dipped them into Diamond Dust glass glitter to get that sugared look.

This picture shows you the corset lacing I did with the larger candle.
I added some tiny bells to the ends.

I also made a little gift bag with this cArt-Us Scandinavian Christmas line.

For this gift bag I used papers from the cArt-Us 6x6 paperpad (Scandanavian Christmas line)
the Puffy Alpha stickers - the Glittered Embellishment stickers - the Bling Embellishment - the Cling stamps and the Ribbons set.

I stamped this snowflake, using Archival ink in black, on white cArt-Us cardstock and cut it out.
I glimmermisted it in vanilla breeze and candy apple,
(if you look close enough you can see the glimmer)
and then inked it all up with clear embossing ink by Ranger, covered it in Utee, heat setted it and while is was melted I gave it a new layer of Utee. Till I had reached 3 layers. After it was completely cooled down, (make sure it really, REALLY is cooled down for the next step)
I started to bend my snowflake embellishment and it started to crack. Love that technique.

I knotted some old bells on a string of twine and used machine stitching to add them to my giftbag.
I also did some stitching on the paper strip.

This is the back of the bag. I gave it a layer of Ranger's Multi Medium, because I wanted to stamp some snowflakes on the fabric. By adding the Multi Medium, you prevent the stamping ink, to soak completely into the fabric, which will fade your image.

I made some tags to go inside the gift bag.

Here's Tag 1

Tag 2

Tag 3
I added some Tulip white Puffy Paint for the snowy effect on the branch.

And lastly I have this card for you which features the cArt-Us Cling Stamps and Faber Castell Gelato's.
I started to stamp my border, on cArt_us white cardstock, using clear embossing ink and white embossing powder. Heat setted it and let it cool. I then took my Faber Castell Gelato's which came in Swirlydoos, last month's technique kit, and started to color randomly. Then I spritzed it with Smooch Shimmer Spritz and I blended the colors, using my fingers, till I was happy with how the background turned out.

On the front of my card, I cut out a circle, because I wanted a turn-able center piece.
I stamped my bigger snowflake, twice, on white cardstock. Again using clear embossing ink and white embossing powder. Heat setted it. After they cooled down, I added my lightest color blue Gelato and blended the color all across my stamped snowflakes. I took a silver thread and sandwiched it between the 2 stamped snowflakes, and added them to my card. To dress up, the cut out circle in the front of my card, I took a string of white tulle and glued it to my card. Also added some funky beaded string. The look like tiny disco balls to me.

To give this card a whimsical shimmer I mixed a few drops of Iridescent medium
(Windsor & Newton)
with water and brushed the mixture onto my card. Love the shimmer it gives.

I hope you enjoyed my projects and that you picked up some idea's.

My Swirlydoos DT kit came yesterday, so.... I'll be busy crafting!
Reveal and Blog Hop will be on the 12th of this month, so make sure you don't miss it.

Hugs
