We started the month with a bad accident on our way to our family vacation. This was a scarey experience and big bump in our plans for Disney Land. It was a miracle that we were not hurt worse than we were. So many thing went wrong with the truck. The brakes, the airbags, everything dented and bent. Talease and Shane were so wonderful to help us through all of this. Jed, Katie and the boys were following us and saw everything. It was nice to know we had so many people to help us. After I called 911 and the ambulance came to check out Steve and I, I had to sign a release so they didn't take me to the hospital for stitches. I asked the EMTs to just stop the bleeding so we could continue on with the vacation. The little boys were worried because my foot was bleeding so badly but after pressure and bandages the bleeding stopped. I took good care of the injury and today.. one month out it looks pretty good. Still not healed. My knee also is not getting better. I do have an appointment in two weeks to see an orthopedic doctor to see what he thinks. Steve ended up with three cracked ribs and a very bad bruised sternum and chest. He is sneezing now without a lot of pain. We are grateful to our Heavenly Father that spared our life.
Disney is one of my most favorite places. If I lived closer I would for sure have "a pass" . It is only an hour or so farther than to go visit our family in Brigham City by car. Which seems funny. The boys had fun too. Steve had a wheel chair when he came to to park, I used one also when my knee hurt to bad to walk.
These are some pictures of Day ONE
Steve and I had purchased matching shirts for the boys for each day along with treats etc. It made it easier to keep tabs on them. I was so glad all of them were tall enough even Ryker to go on almost everything. The park was not too busy which made it easier for me to get around but all the kids helped me and let me hang on them when I needed too. I was determined to not let the accident ruin our fun!
Day TWO
Day THREE
We had a wonderful time. Next time we will include the little girls.
Towards the end of the month I was in charge of the mass vaccination drill in Washington County. It was a wonderful day, vaccinating almost 1400 people. I so appreciate all the staff and volunteers as well as the partners who assisted us in this day.
The last weekend in September Eva and I went to the cabin with Mom. The fall colors are beautiful, I think because of all the rain we have been having.
I has been a fun and crazy September.
