Our McKenzie is Growing Up.

Well, McKenzie is 4 and half months now and she is growing so fast! I can't believe all the accomplishments that she has made so far. She is learning to sleep sitting up.....watch the video.

She is a little picking in a few things like .... who is holding her, how they are holding her (she likes to be held in the right arm to fall asleep. If you are holding her in your left arm she will fight sleep till you switch), she doesn't like it when you stop at a red light or a stop sign. She does however love to be on the move all the time, she loves to people watch, she has recently developed a love for chewing on her tongue. She loves her mama (a little too much sometimes).

Granddaddy this picture is for you. We took this at the children's museum in Utah.

She has also started to giggle and it is so funny. I think I laugh harder than I make her laugh. It is so cute...

Well, that is our cute little McKenzie.

This is our little girl. She is quite the mover; I feel her constantly. Which I love! It really allows for reality to set in. I know that I have this little person inside of me that is depending on me for food and water and protection. I am really excited to be a mom, but I am nervous o the unknown. I just have to remind myself that I have great resources when things get tough. When I don't know what to do or where to turn next.

Paul and I are both so blessed to have such wonderful families. Families that are supportive and loving and will help out when we are in need. That little reminder helps me to get over all those uneasy feelings and just get really excited about bringing a litle girl into a family where she will be loved.

I have been trying to get Paul to talk to my belly, so that she will know his voice just as well as she will know mine. It is not his favorite thing to do because she does not talk back. He has a hard time with the one sided conversation. When I can get him to say anything he always uses this weird voice, so we end up just laughing about it.

It has been really neat to already see some of her personality. She hates it when I lay on my back. That is when she kicks the most. She also is not a big fan of my waist band on any pair of pants. She kicks at it when I am sitting and especially when I am leaning over a table or desk. Somtimes we can get her to feel our finger. We just press one finger on my belly and she will feel it,but not hit or kick it. When she does that I know that she is going to be a cuddler. I think she will be a daddy's girl.

Well, this is my yearly update. I hope that you enjoyed it. My next post will be next year at this time. Just kidding. I might post something when she is born.

Camping in Kilgore

Well, this weekend we went camping in Kilgore, ID. It was so beautiful and we could not have asked for better weather. We went fishing and four-wheeling. It was a blast. We caught a bunch of fish. We threw most of them back and kept two because they would not have made it if we had sent the back. I was very adamant about that. I caught 3 fish sent 2 back and kept 1. I, with the help of Mark, gutted my own fish. Mark gave me and Ethan a tutorial and I proceeded to gut my fish. It was not at all what I thought it was going to be. I thought it was going to be really smelly, but it really was not that bad. It took me back to high school anatomy. We dissected huge earth warms that if you cut too deep it just looked like and bunch of brown mush, but if you just got the skin off you could see everything. It was really neat.

We took Mac (our dog)with us and he loved it. He went on four wheeler rides with us and didn't want to get off when we got back to camp. He loves the wind blowing in his face. Paul and I enjoy watching the wind blow in his face, cause it causes his ears to stick straight up and his eyes get really big. It's pretty funny.

We really love going up there and just enjoy the outdoors with family. We had a blast. It was a little short but worth it. Can't wait for the next camping trip.

Well let me give you a quick over view of the past year. Paul and I got married on June 23, 2007. We have been married for a year and I hope that the saying "Your first year is the hardest". Cause if that is the case the rest should be a breeze.
Well, we have starting building our first home it should be done about the middle of August. Well, that is what they are saying. We are going to try to do as much of the finish work ourselves. Well, with the help of some wonderful family members and friends.
We have a puppy named Mac. Who is almost 7 months now and is almost completely potty trained. (keep your fingers crossed) What a journey that has been. He has a mind of his own and also ADD. He can't keep still long enough for anyone to cuddle with him, but I love him always. I can't speak for Paul. But I know secretly that Paul loves him just as much or more than I do.
Paul is still a Real Estate agent and is working on closing a few deals soon. That market is still pretty good here in Idaho, but is slowing down because of the loan companies.
I am still working for Paul's parents at Upper Valley Resource and Counseling Center. I am now a Document Manager. Which means I take care of the charts. I am not sure if I got promoted or demoted some days.
Well, we are very grateful for all that we have. Especially our loving family!!

So I caved

I did it. I finally made a blog. I gave into peer pressure. Well.... more like sister-in-law pressure. there was some help from Erin. It will most likely never up to date, and will have one sentence entries.

I do appreciate the spell check though. I would have had to write it in Word then copy and paste it there was no spell check. Cause I know that I can't spell, but nobody else does. Well...everybody but Paul, Dan, and Jess.

Well, that is all I have for tonight. I will have to do some updating tomorrow. I will let you know that status of the house and post some pictures.
