Trick or Treat

Our little ones had many opportunities to wear their costumes this year. They got to wear them to story time at the library, Parker wore his to preschool, a BYU basketball game, trunk or treat, and a little bit of trick or treating door to door. They even put them on one day to play with their friends outside. They loved dressing up and got plenty of candy. Happy Halloween!

Pumpkin Carving

Last week for Family Home Evening, we carved pumpkins. Autumn and I picked out pumpkins earlier in the day, while Paul was at work and Parker was at preschool. Although, Parker had told us to get the biggest pumpkin we could find for him. Autumn, on the other hand, wanted a teeny tiny pumpkin. Paul carved the big one and I did the little one. We had a lot of fun and I think they turned out great. After we were done, Parker named his pumpkin "Slippery," because of its insides. After which, Autumn immediately named her pumpkin, "Pink Slippery."

A Big Scare

Parker was riding his bike home from a friend's house, going on the side walk around the Cul-de-sac, when he got hit by a car backing out from their driveway. I was walking with Autumn in the street, holding Lincoln and heard the crunch and then screaming/yelling. I turned around to see Parker's bike under the wheel of a car and Parker was on the bike. Just thinking about it again makes my heart stop. Parker said he saw the car and was trying to stop. So, luckily, it only rolled over his front tire and knocked him over. The only casualty was the bike, which Parker was pretty upset about. We have great friends here and Parker has received three "I'm sorry you got ran over cards." Parker has been saying, "I got hit by a car and I'm still alive!" I will gladly sacrifice a bike and have my son happy and healthy. We love our little Parker and are so grateful that he was not hurt.

Block Party!

We live on a Cul-de-Sac. I have always thought that a cul-de-sac would be great for kids, with less traffic there is more room to play. I just never realized it would be so much fun! There are 7 or 8 families that have small children, so Parker and Autumn love to be outside playing with them. This past week, we all decided to have a block party. There was a lot of food and lots of toys and bikes. It was so much fun!

Just some more pictures of playing in the neighborhood...The kids love riding bikes, playing tag or jail break and climbing trees. (Not my kids, on the climbing trees part.)

It's Official

Just in case you haven't heard, Paul passed the Bar! This past Wednesday Paul was sworn in to the Utah State Bar. He took an oath to uphold the constitution, among other things. We are so proud of his great accomplishment and very happy to finally be done! (These pictures are from the swearing in ceremony...Parker was at preschool)

Some More Pictures from September and October...

A drive up Squaw Peak to see the Fall colors. Parker and Autumn were scared to get out of the car. All the way up the mountain, Autumn kept saying that we were going to fall.

Autumn has been fighting her naps lately. She stands on Parker's bed and looks out the window. She finally fell asleep on Parker's bed.
