Howdy again,
It's been another fast and fun week. Emily started reading this week! It was so exciting. She is actually working out of a Kindergarten Workbook, and she's only in Preschool. Not that I'm bragging or anything.;) She keeps saying "More homework Mom, more." We have done about 1/3 of the book in a week, and it's 400 pages. We got to the reading of sounds, and putting them together to form words such as hat, cat, rat, etc... and she did it! She was so proud! Mom was just as proud! I just love teaching the kids and getting so excited for them. They love it! I'm kinda going to miss Emily when she goes to school, we've had so much fun. Then again, in ways it will be nice. As I'm sure all you mom's can understand.

Friday we celebrated Valentines, even though Valentines was officially on Saturday. By the end of the night I was exhausted. What turned out to be one idea to make Valentine Cookies with Emily and deliver them all to her friends. It turned out, we decided "Let's invite a friend over to help." Well, it turned out about every half hour we decided to call another friend and it turned out 4 friends came to join in on the fun of making Valentine cookies with us. We rolled them, cut them, decorated them, ate them. They had a blast. And in the middle of all that we had lunch. But they didn't want to have an ordinary lunch at the stools or table. We made it a "special picnic lunch" and so we got a blanket and put it in the family room, with plates full of their favorite foods. I was happy to do it for Emmy and her friends. Then when Andy got home from school we invited 2 more friends over for him to play. Then I was litterly shooing kids home when our babysitter for the evening was coming. It's so fun all the kids live within walking distance. This neighborhood is swarming with kids. It's been so much fun for them. We then rushed off to our date and enjoyed fine dining at the Texas Roadhouse with Paul's family. Tasty food.

On Saturday, Paul left bright and early in the morning an came home with flowers, chocolates, and Ben and Jerry's (a traditional icecream Paul gets only on the specialist of occasions.) That night I was planning on making him barbeque baby back ribs, with baked potatoes, jello, etc.. over candlelight. But, I was up to my ears in Emergency Preparedness backpack stuff scattered everywhere which was consuming all my attention. So before I new it he started cooking the meal and we had a nice rib dinner with our family. Thanks Paul!

Sunday, I am having a little "me time" so Paul abd all kids are off to their grandparent's. I decided to update our blog. So there you have it. That's our latest. Now I'll post some pictures.

I LOVE this weather!! It just blows me away that in February we have almost no snow in our yard. After 7 years in Alaska it is quite a shock. The kids have enjoyed playing outside, jumping on the tramp, playing ball. All when there should be snow. It's been so great. I hope there's not a big snow storm to ruin my happiness. ;) Carma has decided that her and snow are not good friends. If I could have one wish of unimportance, it would be that Icould have summer all year round! :)

My little CJ has learned a new word besides Mama and Dada, it is... Ut- oh!! Why is everything at this age so cute?! And he is also doing the real crawl, not just the military crawl. I don't think a little boy has ever been so loved! Andy and Emily follow him around like a little puppy.

I signed up Emily and Andy for Soccerr this spring. Emily is especially so excited. This will be her first year. Andy's second year. Emily loved her soccerr uniform so much that it's all she wore for about 3 days.

Emily is looking forward to turning 5 in a short 2-3 weeks! Wow, my little girl is growing up so fast. I cut her hair by the way. After I cut it, she looked in the mirror about every 5 minutes and kept smiling. It was so cute. Grandma Bartschi also gave her a jewlery box full of jewlery. She is lovin that. Emily loves to look beautiful. Let's just say, she's a girl..
