Sportball

One morning after boot camp, Sportball just happened to be doing a demo right after our class was done so Isaac checked it out. And LOVED it!!

Isaac talked about 'his sports' for days so we signed him up. He is super excited to start!

Soccer

Jacob is signed up to start soccer this spring and he is SO excited!

He likes us to set up soccer drills for him to practice. These were taken Sunday morning before church, around 7:30 am. Yup. He's excited!

New Years Eve Hike

On New Years Eve we headed up to Oak Glen for a hike, a picnic and playing on the playground. Isaac loves the playground up there, but is not a huge fan of hiking. We told him if he hiked with out whining we would go to the playground after our picnic.

He decided to be our guide. He loves maps!

I think Jacob was warning us about wild animals.

Jacob loved reading the nature facts to Isaac.

Not too much whining yet, but did need a little encouragement going up the hill.

That's Isaac's smile. So hilarious!

YAY! Whining was minimal so he got to play on the playground.
Do you think he likes this tire swing?

What a fun way to end the year!

Christmas Eve and Christmas day

We let the boys open their stockings on Christmas Eve because we knew Christmas day would be busy enough.

Isaac was in the middle of a snooze on the couch when we were ready to open them.

The classic bulldog smile

So serious about their Lego mystery mini figures!

Turns out Christmas day wasn't going to be busy after all. Jacob woke up with a nasty sore throat so we headed off to urgent care where we found out he had strep throat.

So, we opened the gifts from Randall, Lila and Sam and had a fun day playing games and Lego instead of going over to my parents' as we had planned.

Later that evening we let the boys open the gifts they got from each other.

I think Jacob chose a good gift for Isaac!

And Jacob was super excited about the new Bill Peet books that Isaac got him.

And a book light - WOW!!

Not the day we had planned, but it ended up being an okay day. Jacob got on antibiotics right away and by afternoon was feeling much better so we made plans to meet the next day with my family to celebrate Christmas.

Christmas Take Two

Fortunately everyone was healthy the day after Christmas so we were able to celebrate with my family. We just had to wait for my mom to get home from jury duty. But she was sent home pretty early so we could go over for lunch and then open gifts.

I always make photo calendars for my parents and give them at Christmas.

No more playing basketball with a soccer ball. YAY!!

I think my parents picked a winner when they gave Jeff the 'Backroads 4 wheel drive trails' book.
He had his nose in it during much of the gift opening time. :)

Too many cameras! Which way do I pose?
Isaac's first science kit. Super fun!

This was another great gift. Jacob's nose was in this one a LOT!

So grateful that we could get together and celebrate Christmas with the fam!

School Christmas program

Look at those handsome boys all dressed up. They were both pretty excited to wear the red sweater vests!

Such a cute program! Jacob and Isaac both had fun practicing all the songs and performing.
