Creative Cuts & More!

I have been asked by the girls at Creative Cuts & More to be a Guest Designer for May. :)

The first piece I worked with is the Flower window w/scalloped edge card. What makes this card so fun is it's already started for you....it arrives full of inspiration! The flower cut out and scalloped edge make for great jumping off points.

~happy birthday~

The Making Memories pp and letters are from my April Citrus Tree Studio kit. I used MM paint on a gcd studios chip butterfly and then sprinkled some glitter on top. The "birthday" stamp is by Stampin' Up. I machine zig zag stitched the pp behind the flower cut out and then added a strip of pp to the top. :)

When you have a minute, you should check out Creative Cuts & More. They sell the most sweet cards, boxes & cs containers, just ready to be made into unique creations. Their different shaped boxes would make the most adorable shower and birthday party favors!!

thanks for coming by and have a nice day,

MSW sketch - April 15

The middle of the month sketch at My Sketch World, by Lucy Chesna, looks like this:

I really like this sketch w/so much white space. Here is my card - "friend*ship".

I used gcd studios pp & chipboard. I stamped "friend*ship" onto the chip and then applied Tim Holtz clear coat crackle paint. {I really like how it turned out. It's different and I love different!} The felt heart, button & brads are all Making Memories.

Thanks Lucy, for another fun challenge! :)

April's challenge @Blue Moon Scrapbooking

The present challenge over at Blue Moon is a "Master Cutter Challenge". Just cut up some pp and use it on a lo. How easy is that? With Prima, Websters, gcd studios...there are so many beautiful images waiting to be cut up. :) I used all three of the above patterned papers on my lo.

After I had the images cut out, I sprayed them all w/glimmer mist.
For the bird's nest, I split stitched with DMC for some added texture.

Thanks, Blue Moon for the fun challenge!

Citrus Tree Studio April Kit!!

Cindy, at Citrus Tree is offering two kits this month! Cool, right? The kit that I worked with is called "Butterfly Skies". Sweet!! Love the "Flutter" MM 8x8 pp pad...the chipboard buttons & stickers. So cute...and after completing 4 los and a card, I still have product left over. The kit also features Primas, MM puffy letter stickers & smooch spray. :) :)

~seventeen~

For this lo, I cut up the prima packaging because I felt the words were the perfect "journaling" for this photo of me taken when I was 17 years old.

~1962~

More hand stitching on this lo...this is a photo of my mother & I. The background is a kit envelope that I opened up. :)

I machine stitched on this card...and right over the chip buttons. :)

The envelope got spritzed with the smooch. I created a mask using a cs butterfly.

One more lo w/an old photo. This is my oldest son Thomas, niece Katy and nephew Jimmy.

Jimmy just turned 26 yo, and Thomas & Katy are both 23 yo. Too funny, right??

~Spring~
I hope you've enjoyed my creations from the "Butterfly Skies" CTS April kit!

The kit is on sale now! :) :)

My Sketch World April 1 card challenge

Lucy Chesna, at MSW, is an awesome sketch artist. Here's her sketch for April 1. Click for the entire view.

This is my first card as a DT member at MSW. I love this cheerful card made with gcd studios pp. The MM flower epoxy and Ki Memories ribbon are from my stash, and the stamp is by Stampabilities. I machine stitched and pop dotted the sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by.

Join us for some fun at MSW!
