GDT - Ching-Chou Kuik Challenge

Hi everyone,

I hope you've had a good week and are planning something fun for the weekend.

A few weeks ago I was selected to be the very first Guest Designer for
I'm so excited for this honour and can't wait to show you what I've made.
The theme for the month of May is Lace
I've been a fan of Ching-Chou Kuik's work for a long time.
Some of my very first posts when I started blogging were
cards made with her wooden stamps.
Now I have a large digital collection...all waiting for precious colouring time.

I was given my choice of image for the challenge and decided on one I didn't have
and that is  Petals of Rainbow available here.
I thought this would give me a chance to practice colouring flowers.

GDT - Crafty Hoarders Challenge #20

Happy Monday everyone,

I hope your weekend went well.
Can't believe December is just around the corner...yikes!
Do you have all your cards made yet?

Today is my last post as a Guest Design Team member at
 Crafty Hoarders Anonymous
Thanks again Gloria for having me
...you have inspired me to think outside my comfort zone
and what fun I've had.
The theme this week is

Challenge #20 Box it Up!
Your challenge is to create some sort of altered box.
You can create a box from scratch, or you can alter a pre-made box.
Your box can be made of paper, wood, chipboard, plastic or metal.
As long as you dig into your hoard to decorate a box,
you have met the challenge requirements!
The box does not have to be used as a box...
it can be used as  home decor
or for any purpose you can image.
Let's box it up!  Use those stamps, dies, and punches.
Show us the layers!
For my make I created a box to hold one of my special
 (lumpy) Christmas cards.
Box measures 6x6x1 inches.

Once I had my score lines on the top I folded in the sides
so I could cut out the center on my Grand Calibur, using SB Labels
Thirty-four then added an acetate layer to create a window.
SB Decorative Labels Thirty-four used for the green layer.
I dusted off my Spellbinders Mystic embossing folder
to create the top layer.  The tree was cut out of gold paper
(yes I've been hoarding that) using Dee's Distinctively
Snow Covered Tree die.  Rhinestones are Recollections.
Gold ribbon, the berry spray and plaid ribbon on the top
and around the sides are all from my hoarded stash.

I would like to enter the following challenges:
Card & Scrap Challenge #86 - Christmas card or box
Completely Christmas Challenge #39 - AG with a twist - embossing
Crafting Musketeers Challenge #19 - Anything but a card
CHNC Challenge November - Anything Goes
Sisters of Craft Challenge - November Anything Goes

Thanks for visiting today and I hope you get a chance to play along.

Colour Inspiration at Love to Create Challenge - GDT

Hi everyone,

It's a very exciting day for me here.....awhile back I was asked to GD for the fabulous
Love to Create Challenge and of course said yes :)  Today's the day I get to show you what I've made.
Thank you so much for having me...it's an honour.

The awesome A Day for Daisies (ADFD) are the sponsor for this Challenge #71 and supplied us with our digi's.  I've used "Blessing the Spring Fairy" and she can be found here.  The theme is a colour inspiration.

This beauty was coloured with Copics. DP is Graphic 45 and the feather is from Bella Blvd. Spellbinders Grand Circles and Grand Decorative Circles One dies used.

The seam binding was dyed using SU Certainly Celery ink, misted with water.   Lace ribbon and flower are from WOC but the flower ribbon is a Tim Holtz.    DecoArt Glamour Dust used on her wings.

Here is the box I made to hold the card.
It measures 7x7 and is 1/2 inch deep.
The doily square was cut using MS Punch-        Around-The-Page. I cut 2 MB Bella Bouquet dies, added a large white feather and rhinestone swirls to the top.  Another bow made from seambinding and WOC flowers as well as one from the $ Store.   I put ribbon from Michaels around the edge of the box.

Here are the challenges I  would like to enter:

Catered Crop - Dies & Punches

We would love it you got a chance to play along with us this time at Love to Create
