rain, rain go away...I want SNOW!

Okay so I am sure that most of you think I am totally crazy for this, but I REALLY miss cold weather!! I am not going to lie, we are loving St. George..it just doesn't ever feel like the Holiday's down here when it's 80 degrees in November! Halloween decorations, Thanksgiving, CHRISTMAS in stores already?! What, it's still summer time crazies! Parker LOVES the weather here and isn't a huge fan of the snow, but it's just not the Holiday's without cold weather.
Matching door hang all the sistas made!
Well, either way.....I have turned into my mother (thank heavens) and got a little crafty/decorative itch in me and made our house feel like the holiday's inside. PS. this is a combination of Halloween and Thanksgiving. I am a little behind because well, I just got this thing like 3 days ago!

So while Parker and I were in SLC for his surgery :( my mother and I headed to wood connection and came home with some gems to make my house a little more festive. We had what you may call a craft night (yeah, it was my first one...well, first real one when I was actually into the craft and made them myself!)

So there is my very small collection of decorations that have most recently been added to the Cracroft home. They will do for now and I can't wait to get more. Yes, all those Thanksgiving decorations were 50% at Walmart the day after Halloween. My mom will be so proud!

St. G living

So if you read our adorable love story, last you heard we were living in SLC going to school, playing football at the U and working. Well, let me catch you up really fast. One day in SLC Parker and I were having just a "life" moment and knew that something was missing. We didn't know what, but we knew we needed a change in life. We were praying to receive an answer on what that change might be and well, two days late Dixie State called and offered Parker a full scholarship to come and play football! Heck yeah!! So that weekend we came down to visit and had the classic "ah haaa" moment and just knew this was it. So we told our family, packed our things and headed down south!
We found an adorable two bedroom apartment down here and we are loving it. We moved into probably the best ward possible and immediately got called to be in the YM/YW presidency and could not be happier. St. G is just the perfect fit for us.
So here are a few pictures of our life down here so far. (I apologize, these are all from my phone and I don't have any of our apartment right now but I will post some.)

So Dixie is growing like MAD and they are redoing basically the entire school because we are going to be a University by next year. This is the main new building and we were front and center when Elder Holland and President Uchtdorf came down to dedicate it. it was a pretty amazing experience. We met them both and they were surprisingly hilarious! haha
So a lot of the wives got together and we had these jersey's made. We are missing a few of them unfortunately. (L to R Cardin, Steph, Kylie, me, Rachel)

This is not a picture of bench warmers I promise. This was just after a touchdown I believe haha. (L to R Parker 24-corner/safety, Griff 7-Quarterback, Zack 2- receiver, Mitch 3- receiver. We are missing Rachel's hubby, Spencer 15, who also plays receiver)

This is the newest member to the Cracroft family, little red (who replaced big red) and we love it! Thanks mom and dad for bringing it down to us!

This was at the Desert Hills football game with Jessis and Bre. Their little brother Ty is basically the star and runs that high school. Football is huge in this town and we love it!

So for those of you who don't know, Parker unfortunately tore his ACL and meniscus the second game of the season! Talk about a total bummer. So we took a little trip up to SLC to get surgery back in the beginning of October.

Pre-surgery!

This was Parker post surgery.Oh my gosh he was hilarious! haha He was so out of it and it was so cute. He even asked the nurse to draw a smiley face on his foot!

So now we are finally back in St. G and Parker is in rehab and we are doing great! His knee is getting better quickly and we are so grateful! There is our life in the last couple months all summed up!

On that sunny day in July...

Let me tell you a little bit about how our fairy tale began.
First Date!
Parker and I met at a YSA BBQ over the summer in July of 2012. I was living in Provo at the time working and going to school at UVU, and he was living in SLC going to school and playing football at the U. I was not interested in going to this BBQ by any means, but somehow my mom (my dad is the bishop of a singles ward that was involved) talked me into coming up with some of my friends. I think it is safe to say we were all shocked at how much fun we had... and how many cuties we had met. One in particular for me, this stud wearing cream linen shorts and a PINK BUTTON UP!! Now, if any of you know me you know I do NOT like pink on guys and button up shirts are probably my least favorite thing on them as well..how this one stole my heart you ask..that is yet to come. So after a night of flirting (with all of his friends I might add) him and I finally started to talk and came to the conclusion we needed to set our brother and sister up....we all knew what that really meant. So the night goes on and I leave with no phone number given. Well two days later I get an FB message talking about setting up my brother with his sister... I simply replied "Yeah, if you wanna take me out give me a call" and left my phone number..next thing I know, I get a call from my dream boy! He asks me on a date and I calmly (although freaking out inside) said sure! It begins. July 25th 2012.... he picks me up for our date with his sister and her date...we go to dinner at the Dodo and when we walk in, I find his entire family sitting at the table........I was a little spooked to say the least, but I rolled with it. Turns out, his family is totally awesome and we had a BLAST! We ate dinner and then went to the Bee's game. The date could not have gone better. We were talking and laughing and secretly snuggling under a Boston Red Sox blanket we got at the game because it started to rain. (Parker LOVES the Sox) We ended the night with some ice cream and laughs.
Sounds like a perfect date, right? Yeah, I thought so too... until I didn't hear from him again for a month. I had no idea what had happened.. finally one Saturday he was down in Provo and wanted to meet up, well I was up in SLC doing some other things and couldn't but I told him to come to my parents ward the next day and we could see each other. (his brother and sister were in my parents singles ward at the time) So he came, I was shocked... and WOW did he look hot!! I was so nervous...I never got nervous. After the meeting we talked at this little mingle and my mom and I started to tease him about not ever taking me out again. It took him by surprise to find out the reason behind his absence was lame peeps saying I was some sort of "player" and "treated all guys the same".....uh WHAT?! Not true and I firmly made him aware of that.. next thing I know, Monday we're going on another date. (It just happened to be on the 25th, exactly 1 month later) After that date, it was history. That week we saw each other every other day, until Saturday rolled around and there was a Utah football game.It was the same night as the priesthood session. After the game, they held a special rebroadcast for the players and those who were at the game.I didn't want the night to be over, so I waited until he got out of that. When he came home he was so excited and we went for a little drive up to the "H" rock and hiked up to it. Gorgeous view overlooking the city. Oh boy.... here it comes, the first KISS! Lets be honest, we all knew it was coming so BRING IT ON! I was so stoked! Cliche you say? I think not... how could you not want to totally make out overlooking a gorgeous view of the city, not to mention with a total hottie?!It was perfect and the rest is history!
First Kiss!

We spent every single day together after that first kiss. I finally moved back up to SLC to be closer to him and 6 short months later (to the exact date) we relived our amazing first date.(the real first one..Dodo and the Bee's game) It was January 25th 2012. I had gotten off work and had an awful day. I wanted to just be lazy with Parker but he had something else in mind. So I got ready (barely) and we went out. He took me to the Dodo with our friends and it was delicious, I just love that place. After that we all couldn't decide on what we wanted to do, I just wanted to go home and watch a movie with Park but there was more to the night so I just, again, rolled with it. Parker had (fake) called his friend Zane (who is a Miller..so basically has hook ups everywhere and owns everything...including the Salt Lake Bee's!) He asked him if we could just "come and mess around the stadium" Uh.... it's January and freezing outside, NO THANKS!! Well, we went anyway..keep in mind, I am still totally clueless as to what is going on by the way. When we walked in all our friends went different ways, weird..probably to go make out I thought! ;) Well, I was wrong. We walked up and looked over the field. OMG!! A shoveled path with lanterns lighting the path all the way to the pitchers mound. I start to freak out and maybe started crying..shhh! He put "our song" on (Wanted by Hunter Hayes) and we walked down this awesome path. Each lantern had a sunflower on it and he was saying the SWEETEST things to me until we got to the mound. Placed over the mound was our BOSTON blanket covered with gorgeous sunflowers (my favorite!) two mugs, and a thermos with hot coco in it. We reached the mound and he got down on one knee and asked "Chelle, will you hold my hand forever?" OH MY GOSH HECK YEAH!!!! Talk about a fairy tale love story engagement! It was perfect! Every attention to detail was amazing! We hugged and kissed and all our friends started to come out of the stands (where they were hiding) We were finally engaged! I couldn't believe it and I was on cloud 9 and was NOT going to come down anytime soon. We had one more stop to make and that was to CPK where both of our families were waiting there to congratulate us! It was the perfect ending to the perfect night!
Our announcement!
Wedding Dinner! (Thanks for the amazing quilt Panda!)

The wedding planning begins. We only had a short time to plan because of Parker's football schedule we were very limited as to when we could get married and take a honeymoon. We chose the date March 10th (over spring break because football was out and it we could take our honeymoon). I know what you are all thinking, "wow, that was fast" guess what? You're right! But hey, it's that lame feeling you make fun of until it finally happens to you...when you know, you know! Planning the wedding could not have gone any smoother, it was like tender mercy after tender mercy. Thanks to my AMAZING mother who should totally go into wedding planning as a profession, she pulled off the wedding of the year! It was absolutely perfect, I could not have been any happier!

The Send off!
So that was that, we were married and we could not be more stoked about it! We took off on our honeymoon! We went on an amazing cruise to Cabo San Lucas and  Puerto Vallarta. An entire week just Parker and I lounging in the sun, eating everything in sight and loving every minute of it!! Coming back to reality was definitely a shock and a total slap in the face, but hey as long as we got each other, how can we go wrong?

Cabo!

Puerto Vallarta

Well... there you go folks! That's our love story that has gotten us to where we are now! Hope you enjoyed. (Sorry for the novel)
