Color Inspired Challenge on the Love to Create Challenge

Hello, Happy  Monday!!

Today I am sharing my cards for this week's  new challenge over on my challenge blog
Love to Create Challenges

Our theme for this week's challenge is a Color Inspire one

We have two fabulous sponsors this week Bugaboo Stamps and Dr. Digi House of Stamps. Both offer a fabulous prize to our winners!

I selected an image from each of our sponsors !!

Dr. Digi House of Stamps
Rescue Squad

I am really loving how this turned out fussy cutting the image and then
layering onto this designer paper by Authentique - Genuine to get the
feel of a starry night. Background designer paper is by Glitz Sunshine in my Soul.

My next card uses Bugaboo Stamps Jar-Autumn

Once again I used the beautiful papers by Authentique Genuine collection
which were the perfect colors with our color inspired photo.I added Diamond Glaze to the jar and then lightly sprinkled some fine glitter over it while wet. Twine is by Recollection and sentiment is a SU stamp.

Hope I have inspired you!
We would love to have you come join us at Love to Create Challenge, for a chance to win some  fabulous prizes from our wonderful sponsors.

Thanks for visiting!!

Sweet Sketch Wednesday Challenge #82

Happy Wednesday!!
It's time for a new sketch at Sweet Sketch Wednesday and I must say this one is another fun one that will definitely inspire your creative side.

Jodie with Bugaboo Stamps is our fabulous sponsor this week.  Jodie has a huge selection of images to chose from. with new releases each Tuesday and Friday.  Looking for a special image than be sure to check out the store as she offers images from cute adorable critters and little people to the humorous Gus and Mildred.

As our sponsor this week, Jodie is generously offering 7 images of your choice to one lucky winner. That's a rockin $21 value!!!
So please follow all the rules to be sure you are in the draw for this Awesome Prize!

Now that Christmas is here and gone, I am now scrambling around the stores for birthday gifts ... I have 4 in the next two weeks. Hunter's (our grandson we raise) is this Thursday and he is making it easy for me as all he wants is gift cards. We are having a family dinner and then planning a big paint ball party for his friends in the middle of January as it seems to work better for most if we wait till after the holidays. Poor guy seems he really gets the short end every year. Then I have my daughter's next week and then hubby's, our 6 yrs old grandson's and our 39th anniversary all within 3days the following week. It's two weeks of non-stop parties!!

I couldn't resist  the opportunity to create a card with one of my favorites Bugaboo character Gus for my DT card this week. As I mention, my very dear but extremely grouchy hubby is having a birthday (he so reminds me of Gus) and of course Hunter is in need of a card for this big occasion, as the old man is hitting the big 60 here!!

I kept my card pretty simple, as Grandpa just wouldn't appreciate all the extras as he is basically a very simple man!

Then Hunter and I came up with the sentiment for the inside!

I so glad you stop by to visit and I hope you got a little of a chuckle with my card. Jump on over to Sweet Sketch Wednesday's  challenge blog to visit with the rest of the design team for more sweet cards using some more Bugaboo images today.
I hope you will join us this week, as I would love to stop by to visit.

Thank you to each for your love, support and words of encouragement through out the year. May You have a very safe and Happy New Year!!

~Hugs~

A Mini scrapbook for Bugaboo's Anything But a Card Monday.

Happy Monday,

If you have been visiting my blog for the past few days, you have seen a couple of projects that I have shared using the newly released Halloween Bobble Head friends from Bugaboo Stamps. I was so excited when I was able to preview this adorable Halloween set as a design team member for Bugaboo Stamps that my thinking cap immediately went in to over drive with so many cute ideas/projects these Halloween Image would compliment.

Today I have one more project to share, and I hope you like it as much as I do. This was such an easy project and so much fun to create. This is a mini Chipboard scrapbook using a 8x8 Zutter Chipboard book cover, which I covered using miscellaious Halloween design papers of all sizes that I have had stuck a way for the past couple of years. A lot of scrap card stock (you know all those scraps that we just refuse to throw away), Haloween stickers from my scrapbook bins and left over ribbon from last year projects and the adorable Halloween Bobble Head images from Bugaboo Stamps that were released this past Friday (you can find them all here in the store). A perfect project to share for our weekly Monday post of Anything but a Card.

          Halloween bobblehead Ghost

Bugaboo Halloween bobblehead Witch

Bugaboo Halloween bobblehead Mummy

Halloween bobblehead Dracula

Halloween bobble head Frank

                                                  Halloween bobblehead Princess
Halloween bobble head Devil

This mini scrapbook will hold 13 or more pictures and is the perfect gift for my Grandson Reece's First Halloween. Wouldn't one of these add the perfect touch to any occssion such as a baby shower, first Christmas, Baptismal, or for a special birthday.  Like I mentioned above all materials except for the Book covers were all items that I just couldn't throw away and had in one container or another.

I hope you liked my project and if you have any questions pleasse leave me a comment as I will gladly reply to all questions.
Thank you for visiting me today

For my card layout I used a wonderful sketches by Sketches by Carly #3

Bugaboo Stamps Supports Operation Write Home

Happy Saturday,

Bugaboo Stamps and I would like to send a challenge out to all our fellow card makers, to make a Christmas or a Birthday card for a soldier to send home.
Operation Write Home is celebrating their birthday (Sept 12th) for the month of September and the team at Bugaboo Stamps are helping to celebrate with them by supporting their mission.

Here is a little bit about OWH-
Operation Write Home mission: Supporting our nation's armed forces by sending blank handmade greeting cards to write home on, as well as cards of gratitude to encourage them.
Operation Write Home is an organization that sends blank handmade greeting cards for all occasions to deployed service members to write home on. They’ve mailed approximately 500,000 cards so far—and are still going strong! Our challenge to you is to make cards to send to them for our nation’s heroes.

Please read the OWH's basic guidelines here; it’s important especially to remember that glitter is NOT allowed (it’s a safety hazard to our heroes), handmade cards only, and OWH needs A2 sized cards. “Operation Write Home” needs to be on the backs of your cards—it can be stamped, handwritten, or printed on labels. Please include a packing slip inside your box or envelope, and mail them to any of their shippers listed on the Mailroom page. In your package, you can also include notes written to a deployed service member.

Another way you can support our men and women who are serving our county is by considering to enter a card for Operation Write Home into Jo-Ann’s Craft for a Cause Contest. You can win $1500, and OWH could win $50,000! Please see their site for detailed rules and regulations.

Link your OWH card to our challenge blog Catch the Bug for a chance to win Bugaboo Images.

Fridays are always great for one reason or another but they are especially great when Bugaboo Stamps offers a free digital image.

This week is one adorable image and I just loved creating with it to make this card

Is this little guy CUTE or what? I really did have fun with this one even if I had to make a new one after the coffee accident :) Design papers are from SU a few years back, hey what can I say I do hoard my designer paper, Buttons are PTI, small glittery buttons are found at HL, sentiment is The Greeting Farm - Butterfly Wishes, now the little cutie is cute out and popped on some dimensional, along with the spool of thread, I used embroider thread to wrap around the spool.

New Release at Bugaboo Stamp - Are you ready for Halloween?

Hello once again, please scroll down for Going Grey with Scrap-Creations Challenge

Are you ready for some fun Halloween images?  Bugaboo Stamps is  ready and has a new fun image Goofy Ghost, that is being released today.

Goofy Ghost is such a fun image, that I knew it would be perfect to use for a little gift set that Hunter could give to our neighbor friends. He loves to do Ghosting each year and since his friends are getting older, I thought this project would be fun to give in place of the small pumpkin.we have given in the past years. I found this template on Digital Delights by Louby Loo

The nice part is Hunter can help make these super easy candy bar wrappers and 3x3 cards. He had fun using my stickles for the heart and Copics for the bow tie, that fun paper is the new mini deck Matilda from Cosmo Cricket. I took some of the scraps and made a liner for the 3x3 envelope. A cute and easy gift set with a full size Hersey candy bar, which I know his friends are going to enjoy.

Go check out all seven of  these brand new Goofy Ghost images that are available in the store today. If you would like to see the rest of the design teams eye candy stop by our challenge blog Catch the Bug as the team has some amazing eye candy to share with you.

Speaking of Halloween and projects, I found a few challenges that this gift set will work with:
Just Us Girls - template challenge - candy bar template
Digital Tuesday #74- make a gift set
Totally Stampalicious- Anything but a card

Hope you are having a sweet day!

Hugs

A New Challenge at Bugaboo Stamps

Good Morning

Today there is a fun new challenge at Bugaboo "Catch the Bug", as summer comes to an end we are celebrating the Dog Days of Summer for this challenge. Fall is right around the corner and the hot summer days will soon be gone, so for this challenge we want to see animal cards, now it does not have to be just a dog, any animal  will work, your card/project has to be one using a netural color (white/Ivory, brown/kraft or black) plus one color.

Bugaboo challenges are not only fun to play along with, it's a great opportunity to win some of  those images that you have on your wishlist.  So come join us and have a chance to win some wonderful  Bugaboo images. Jodie is offering 7 images to the first place winner, 4 images for 2nd place and 2 images for 3rd place, and if you use a Bugaboo image on your submission that gives you a 2nd chance to win.  Now I know we all have a Bugaboo wishlist!

Along with our normal prizes, we have a special sponsor joining us for this challenge,
                                                Stampin Dragon Designs

They are offering one winner a gift certiicate for 4 free images from their online store!! WOW, now wouldn't that be a great prize to win? If you haven't been over to visit their store, you need to as they have some really cute images that are always fun to create with.

The design team had the opportunity to play with some of their adorable images for our challenge and here is my card using "Rupert Heats Up"

Isn't this a fun image, I kinda turned Rupert more into a girl card using Ivory and Eggplant for my color scheme, but that is what makes playing with digi images so fun.

For my Bugaboo image I picked one of my favorites (now I did say ONE as I have so many favorites when it comes to Bugaboo Stamps) Turtle with Flower  using the color combo of Red and Black.

Do you see her glittery hat and shoes, isn't she just a darling?

Now be sure to head on over to Bugaboo challenge blog  for all the details of the challenge . While you are there, you can seeall the FABULOUS cards that the design team created.

Please play along with us in the Dog Days of Summer challenge. We have lots of goodies to give away this week!

A little bit of country

Hello, and a beautiful Thursday morning!

Today's card is for Bugaboo Stamps and on Thursday's the design team shares a card that features one of  their favorite Bugaboo images that you can find in the store.

I used the Bugaboo cowboy with fence for my card, as The Just Us Girls challenge blog is having a WILD WILD WEST theme that in support of Alicia who is organizing a charity rodeo in memory of her son, Ethan. Here's the link to the rodeo website for Ethan.

The card base is SU Kraft, SU Chocolate Chip for matting, design paper is My Mind's Eye 29th St Market Shinning Star (this is from last year I believe), MS fence border punch, Twill ribbon is from Adorn It and the stars are a pack from JoAnn's and the silver boot button is from Dress it up. For my layout on the card I followed the sketch from this week's challenge  at The Sweet Stop Sketch #69.

Thanks for visiting, I am off to spend some time in my craft room this morning. I wish you a crafty day.
