Wild hibiscus (card set)

Hello!

Busy enjoying the New Year's Eve? I hope the New Year has pleasant things in store for everyone!

I have the last set of cards for this year and the first is dedicated to YOU!

I took inspiration from the below picture for my first card. I kept the card very CAS.

My second card was inspired by this beautiful image.

And here is the last card... I was inspired by the very talented Lydia Evans. Though I am not a fan of purple, her card really made me try this combination of pink and purple.
Here is her card.

That's all for this year, folks! See you in the New Year. ;)

Stay blessed.

Magical unicorns

Hello friends,

I hope you are having a great time preparing for the New Year... Are you ready with your list of resolutions for the coming year? I'm definitely not. :) I will do a separate post if I make any resolutions. For now, I have a card to share that I made a couple of weeks ago.

I first stamped the text background with Mama Elephant's 'Cross my heart' stamp set. Then Layered a couple of vellum diecuts to prepare the base for my stamped abd colored images. Aren't those unicorns the cutest? They are from MFT's 'Magical Unicorns' stamp set.

I hope to see you once more before the New Year.

Take care..

Hello, you are awesome! (Card set)

Hi everyone!

I made a few cards a couple of days ago using some Altenew stamp sets. I intend to participate in the ongoing Altenew challenge which requires to take inspiration from any of the pictures from any of the challenge that was hosted in 2016. There are so many pictures to choose from but I decided to take inspiration from the August 2016 challenge inspiration picture which I added below. I just love the pink and grey combination.

Here is the inspiration picture that I based my card on...

Here is the card I made

I went out of my comfort zone to make this set of cards. I tried to add layers and some texture. Though they aren't perfect, I like the way they turned out.

I stamped a bunch of flowers in three different colours so I could make more than one card. I stamped all the sentiments at once and fussy cut everything at once before putting the cards together.

I love those blue flowers! This is a mini stamp set from Altenew and I opened it after hoarding it for almost forever! LOL!

Here is another variation...

Supplies used-

I hope you like the cards...

See you soon!

Have a Merry Christmas everyone!

Lots of love

Floral card set

Hi friends,

Today, I have a set of cards I made a couple of weeks ago (or more?) to share. I already shared on Instagram but forgot to share here.

Here they are...

I used the 'country blooms' stamp set by Honeybee stamps and for the sentiments, used MFT dies. They are pretty simple cards once the images are colored. The firsr card is my personal favorite. :)

For the last one, I used vellum as base. I have a very thick vellum whicg is capable of acting as a base.

I love the result. It took a lot of time though...but was totally worth it.

Hope you like the cards...

See you soon, bye!

Friendship- card set.

Hey everyone!

How was your weekend? Mine was good. Couldn't get time for crafty stuff but I managed to write a blog post which is a great thing for me. :)

I made these cards a few days ago. I bought this stamp set called 'into the woods' by Neat and Tangled and I absolutely love it! The images are SO adorable. I especially like the deer.

I paired it up with a couple of Wplus9 stamp sets to finish the cards. All the images were stamped on watercolored cardstock and colored with Zig clean color real brush markers. I used the Dove blender pen to blemd the colours. It was so easy!

After colouting, I fussy cut all the images and prepared the panel on which they would be stuck.

I diecut three rectangles with stitched rectangles die set from Simon Says Stamp and masked the four edges to leave a white border around the card. Then I sponged some hero arts inks for the background and stuck the images and made three cards at one go! It was SO much fun!

I hope you like the cards...

On the last card, I did some no-line colouring. I hand drew the rock and grass, coloured and fussy cut them out like all other images.

See you soon!

Happy girls!

Hi everyone!

I hope you are all are gearing up for a fun filled weekend. As for me, I'm hoping to get some crafty time to make some cards.

For today's post, I have a couple of cards I made for Little tangles challenge

Here are my cards- I used 'Better together' stamp set from Neat and Tangled stamps, illustrated by one of my favorite illustrators, Elena Roussakis.

Here is how I made them-
1. First, I cut a 4.25x5.5 cardstock piece and heat embossed the stars background on it. (After I stamped with Versamark ink, I covered the panel partially with gold embossing powder, the transfered the excess back to the powder tin. Then I covered the remaining portion of the background with silver embossing powder and heat set them.)

2. Then, I sponged some Hero Arts inks on the panel. (Colours used were Mint Julep, dusty blue and Cornflower blue). I didn't put much pressure as I wanted a background where I could make my girls stand before, without vellum behind them. LOL!

3. After inking, I cut out a frame using stitched rectangle dies. I hoped to use both the frame and the cut out rectangle piece to make two cards.

4. On the first card, I inlaid a piece of rectangle diecut into the frame. Before that, I stamped the panel with the same stars background in light grey ink.

5. I think the rest is obvious. :)

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a great weekend! Bye!

Magical....

Hi everyone!

Hope you had a great weekend. I'm here to share a card I made a card a couple of days ago for MFT sketch challenge.

Here is the sketch-

Here is my card.

I am really not good with sketches, so, I followed the sketch almost literally. I have a bunch of coloured images from Kathy Rac's The Daily Marker 30 Day challenge that happened in November. So I picked a couple of cute images from Magical Dragons stamp set and the sentiment was perfect at the current stage of my life!

Parenting a very active toddler is so overwhelming! It has been a roller coaster ride for the past couple of years (my pregnacy included). Sometimes it really feels magical...all those cute little smiles, hugs and random kisses, the way he tries to imatate everything we do and try to talk. And so many other things that he does. There is nothing that compares to the emotions that our son brings out in me.

All the stuff I wrote above is just one half of the story. I mean the rosy part of the story! The other half of it is better left unsaid! :D

Anyway, this card is for my 16 month old and I hope he appreciates it when he is a bit older. :)

I hope you like the card...

See you soon..

Maple thanks

Hi everyone! How was your weekend? Mine would have been good had my little one not fallen sick. He still is his usual cheerful self which is a good thing.

I managed to make a set of cards last week and here they are.

I used 'Maple thanks' stamp set from Neat and Tangled on all three cards. On the first one, I used Paper Smooches 'Bold Buzzwords' stamp set to create a text background. On the second one, I tried a technique showed by Jennifer Mcguire in one of ger videos to create an embossed background using the dies. I used Simon Says Stamp stitched square dies for this purpose. On the third card, I used a background builder stamp set from CAS-ual Fridays.

Submitting all the cards to CAS-ual Fridays Challenge

Believe!

Hello everyone!

Kathy Rac's The Daily Marker 30 Day coloring challenge is a blessing for me! I can't believe it is going to end in a few days. It gave me an opportunity to take a few minutes out of my routine (much needed alone time) and colour beautiful images. Also, when I want to make cards, I can just pick a coloured image and build my card around it.  The card in this post os one such where I used a beautiful poinsettia image from Hero Arts called 'Antique Poinsettia'.

I wish to enter the challenge on 'A Blog named Hero' blog. The theme is 'Holidays'.

Also entering the Heart desires challenge. (I used all the colours)

Here is my card-

I stamped the background with Hero Arts background cling stamp called 'Holiday florals' on a piece of Neenah Solar white (80lb) cardstock. Assembled everything on  gold metallic cardstock. It lools gorgeous in real life. I couldn't capture the shimmery nature of the cardstock in the picture. It is from DCWV. Heat embossed the sentiment from a CAS-ual Fridays stamp set called Christmas Carols.

Here is a closer look at the cardstock and the coloured image...

I hope you like it. I will soon see you all with a set of three cards that I made with a Neat and Tangled set and I'm excited about it. :)

See you soon... hope you are having a great weekend. Bye!

You are a blessing!

Hi,

It is me again! I made a card to participate in the Little Tangles challenge and didn't want to miss the deadline. The theme for November is CAS (Clean and Simple).
Also submitting the card to CAS-ual Fridays challenge.

Here is my card-

To make this card, I repeatedly stamped the bold sentiment from Paper Smooches in yellow colour. Then, I took another small 'thanks' sentiment from Altenew and stamped repeatedly in another colour. Also added some hearts to just be able to tell the words apart.

The focal image is from Neat and Tangled 'Into the woods'. It is s great stamp set with adorable images and a couple of great sentiments with beautiful font. I coloured the image with zig markers, fussy cut it and then mounted it on a piece of vellum that helps to keep the background from being too overwhelming. Added the sentiment which is from an Altenew set.

I hope you like the card... Thanks for visiting again!

Sindhura.

Thank you!

Hi everyone!

I wanted to share a card I made for the Paper Smooches November Challenge. The theme is - Giving Thanks.

Also submitting this card to CAS-ual Fridays challenge.

To make this card, I stamped images from the Paper Smooches- 'blossoming buds' stamp set, colored them with my zig markers and fussy cut them. Then, I cut some 1/2 " strips of two different patterned papers and stuck them on a piece of cardstock to make the mackground for my focal image. I arranged the stamped and colored images in a wreath and stuck them on a piece of vellum and then stuck it on the patterned background.

Hope you like the card...

See you soon! thanks for visiting!
