Dream and spread your wings to fly

It's been a while since I made my last canvas and yesterday I was in the right mood to make another one. I was inspired by gorgeous Moodboard in Mixed Media Moods.

I tried to gather as many inspiration of of it as I could... the paper with some smudges like in first picture, the cluster with similar texture as on the second picture, the paintbrush end on the butterfly and of course the gorgeous butterfly. Added some black stars on the cluster and some gorgeous Wild Orchid Crafts flowers to finish off the canvas.

Hope you'll like it. I also have a youtube tutorial for you at the end of the post. Hope you get inspired too! <3
Hugs,
Aleksandra

When spring awakes

Hello dear friends!

I'm with you today again with my new spring project for you, this time with my post for WIld Orchid Crafts DT, to get you inspired and to get your crafting mojo on. :)

I have to tell you I can not wait for the spring to come. I so much enjoy the warmth of the first spring sunshine, the smell and colorful play of the blossoming flowers, the joyous singing of birds, the nature bursting and awakening in all her glory. Are you the same? This off the page project - box with a blossoming birdcage, took me on the springtime walk for a moment. I enjoyed it so much and I hope you will too.

I've also prepared a youtube tutorial for those of you who would like to make this by yourself with all the links to the products used.

I used several Wild Orchid Crafts gorgeous flowers for this box. You can get yours and much more at the Wild Orchid Crafts webshop. Here are the links to the ones I used today:

Thank you so much for joining me today and have a great and warm rest of the day!
Hugs,
Aleksandra

"Dream Garden" ballerina shoes

I just love turning unusual objects into art. And these ballerina shoes were no exception. I have my book of ideas where I put down everything that pops in my mind and I think it could be great for a project. I had my Ballerina shoes in there for quite some time. But since I haven't had the idea quite clear yet on what to do with them, they stayed safe inside. But few days ago I got the idea on how to upgrade them to art and although I didn't quite know what I should do next, I went with the flow. And this is what came out of it. I have to say I adore them! They will be hanging in my daughter's bedroom to warm her heart each day!

I also made a video, if you want to make one for yourself. Hope you'll like it!

Hugs,
Aleksandra

It is yet another project that fits perfectly to Berry71Bleu Challenge this month. Hurry up and join in, there is only few hours left. :)

"It's Christmas time" with Maja Design

Slowly I'm getting into mood for the Winter and Christmas season that is on it's way. My first Chrsitmas project this year was made with MajaDesign gorgeous new collection "I wish" and was inspired by this month's MoodBoard. I made a snowy window with a winter landscape outside and a Santa Claus dashing away. And inside the box I captured a cosy room with a warm fireplace, beautiful Christmas tree and Santa with presents for the little girl whose picture is hanging on the wall. I enjoyed making it so much and am looking forward to make more winter projects... my head is overflowed with ideas. I hope I'll be able to keep up with it. :D So... without further adieu I have for you one of my favourites... altered fairytale chestbox with lots of mixed media goodness... And of course I also have a video tutorial for you at the end of this post. If you like it, you can subscribe to my youtube channel so you can be up to date with my latest tutorials. I'll be more than happy if you decide to join me or leave a comment under my post.

So this is it for today. Hope you liked it :)
Have a great weekeend ahead.
Hugs,
Aleksandra

Romeo & Juliet wedding scene

Summertime is time for weddings and a while ago an idea about Romeo and Juliet wedding scene poped in my mind. I decided to make a wedding box with a miniature. Prima white resin embellishment seemed ideal for creating a balcony and door arch. I used Prima Hello Pastel digital paper collection and I cut out the flowers from Meadow Lark digital paper collection. Lovely butterflies are from Sunkiss collection. The colors from Prima product picks are gorgeous and the project came out lovely, vivid and warm. What do you think?
