Enjoy Life

Hello Friends!  Happy Wednesday to you!  Has it been extrememly hot where you live or has it cooled down?  I hear some people saying that it's getting chilly where they live and they have to put on some socks!  Oh my goodness!  Here where I live, it's so HOT, that my air conditioner is working overtime!  lol!

Well, this week at The Beary Scrap blog, we're having "Stitches" as our theme!  I love it!  I had finally gotten a new sewing machine last year, as my sister old sewing machine that she passed down to me finally had called it quits.  And my new sewing machine .... has never touched a piece of material.  LOL!  Only paper ... ahhhh .. and my hubby thought I'd be doing some hemwork when needed.  No success there!!!!!  (To be honest, I don't really know how to sew material very well!)  shhhh ... don't tell my hubby!  lol!!!

Anyway, here's my card that I've done:

Sweetness

Hello!  I'm back here again, this time with an image from Belles 'n Whistles Forever Young Collection.  This image Little Eden reminds me so much of time flown by.  I see this little girl, and I think of how much my little boy has grown.  He'll be starting preschool in a few weeks, and whew ... I am surely going to miss my little guy!!

It seems like just yesterday he was beginning to crawl and sit, and now ... he's running around like a little maniac playing pirates, cars, and swords.  hehe!  Wasn't it just yesterday I heard him "coo"?  And today I hear him say full sentences ... that sometimes doesn't quite make sense ... but I know it has depth and meaning to him.

I tell ya ... having this wonderful Forever Young collection really makes you look at things a little more closely.  It makes you appreciate the time you have with your little ones .. because you KNOW how time flies.  And then it makes you appreciate your OWN time here, because you remember things from your own childhood and you know every day, will be a day your child will look back upon also.

Alright, well here's the image which brought on all this heavy thought, LOL:

I am also entering this card into:
1.  Friday Sketchers :  sketch  (thank you for the beautiful sketch!)

I do hope I'll get to see you all at Belles 'n Whistles blog to take part in our lovely Rosette's challenge of Lilac/Purple!!!  How yummy is that?!!!  I'll see ya there!  Can't wait to see what you whip up!

You Make My Heart Dance

Hello!!!  August is here!  Oh my goodness gracious!  How is this possible?  I mean, by 8pm the sun has gone completely down here, and it's pretty much dark.  I swear this is not supposed to happen until like September!  It's going to be Halloween before you know it .. and that reminds me!  I went to Michaels and Joann's the other day, and they not only had Halloween things but CHRISTMAS things out too!  sigh ... time just whooshes .. yes .. whooshes ... is that an actual word?  lol .. well for me it is!  ;)

Anyhow our Beary Scrap Challenge is a "Clean and Simple" sketch by our lovely Susan!  I actually enjoyed this!!! Thank you Susan!

I am also entering this card into:
1.  Simon Says Stamp :  Sing it Baby!  The song that came to mind is a very old one .. lol!  "Ballerina Girl" by Lionel Richie

The Fun Stuff:
Image:  Magnolia
Papers:  K&Co
Medium:  Prisma Colored Pencils
Other:  Mulberry Roses (the pink ones are from The Beary Scrap store!),  Ranger Blending Tool (I ALWAYS use these since it's easier on my hands), Walnut Stain Distress Ink, Golden Rod Stickles, Martha Stewart Border Punch

Okay, just to give you an idea of what blogger does to me .. you know all those links you've just seen?  I had to do it BACKWARDS!!!  Blogger will NOT let me do it one after the other!  How ridiculous is that?!  And this has been going on for quite some time now .. and I finally figured out i have to do it backwards .. which is not always possible in my head.  lolol!!!

Alright .. hope to see ya at our challenge at The Beary Scrap!  Thanks for visiting me and making me smile!

Hugs,
Elise
