For those Special BIG birthdays

Hiya Peeps, long time no blogging so today I've uploaded a few pics of cards I've recently made.

The images on the first two cards are by Rubber Romance which are available from Tracy at
DIES TO DIE FOR.  The papers on the card below I bought a few years ago now, I think they were from Craftwork Cards.  Spellbinders die cuts, feather and the black and crystal gem from my stash.

The papers on this card are K & Co, Spellbinders die cuts, ribbon and pearls embellies.

Papers are K & Co, cameo from Angel Crafts, Spellbinders dies.

The paper was from a freebie download from Shabby Princess, lots of Spellbinders dies for this tri-fold card and box

More Spellbinders dies for the inside.

I don't know about you guys, but I just can't seem to stay of blogging/crafting etc, plus fit everything else in.  Life is just so hectic lately and Christmas is approaching far too quickly for my liking...... my ideal Christmas gift would be more hours in a day..... lol.

Anyways gotta rush off again, loads to do as usual.  Hope your all keeping well.

At last a Scrapbook layout

Hiya peeps, today I'm going back to where my crafty hobby all began, scrapbooking that is.  Seven years ago I bought my first scrapbooking kit but like most people cardmaking soon took over.  I've been wanting to get back into scrapbooking for so long, so with the arrival of our adorable baby Grandson, Logan, what better reason to make a new start.

The papers I've used are Graphic 45 "Little Darlings", but OH MY GOODNESS, these papers are soooooooooooooooooo beautiful, it was hard to cut into them, so I bought a duplicate set, you know where I am coming from ladies, we all need to stroke/drool over our papers don't we.........LOL :-)

Hopefully this will be the start of many layouts.  Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Hiya folks, sorry I've not been around much lately, been rather busy trying to get some thank you cards made. Took a bit longer than anticipated due to my printer dying on me but am pleased to say I've bought a new one, thanks to so many crafty friends that advice me which ones they use.  I decided upon a Canon Pixma MG5250, so far it is FAB, mind you what a headache that was trying to choose a new one...lol!!!

As you can see the colour scheme for this particular wedding was silver and white.  Below is the mother of the bride thank you card and box

Printer help/advice

Hiya folks, I wonder if you wouldn't mind helping me out please.

My incredibly trusty, 13 year old Epson Stylus RX685 printer has just died on me ....boooo hoooo :-(.

I'm desperately in need of a new printer/scanner ASAP but it's a mind field and don't know which to go for.  My Epson has been absolutely marvellous over the years and could easily cope with 300 gsm card, smooth or textured. albeit the inks were a bit pricey but i didn't mind because of the ease of printing onto cardstock.

I'm in the middle of making wedding stationery, plus I've got orders to get out by next week and need a printer/scanner, quick smart, capable of printing onto thick (ish) card.

So could I ask which printer/scanner you lovely crafty folk would recommend for good quality printing and printing onto card ?????

Thank you all so very much in advance xx vicki xx

Baby Edwin 1st Birthday

Good evening folks, well so much for me getting back into blogging hey...seems like as soon as I get back into it then life gets in the way........ again....!!!  Anyways I hope you all happy and well.

This card has driven me bonkers, simply because I thought I give those Spectrum Noir pens a try, just to compare the difference between them and Copics, spent ages (as we do) colouring this image, then putting the card together, I was just tidying up my desk area ready to photograph this card, when silly ole me only dropped my brushed corduroy ink pad on the image, hence the big splodge underneath my watermark.....d'ya think I had the patience to make another.....no way.......lol!!!

Magnolia Baby Edwin coloured with Spectrum Noirs

Lace

Hiya folks, hows your weekend going?  Thought I'd show you these rustic wedding invites that I finished making last week.  They are for my daughters teacher, she gave me the brief of something rustic, with texture and buttons.  I made a few sample for her and she choose these.

Edwin thank you cards for page boys and ushers

Hiya folks, just been sorting through my camera with all the photos I've taken of cards made this past year, oh eck it's gonna take me a while to get them uploaded but these are for starters.

Back in April I made some Wedding Stationery for a friend of mine, she then asked if I could make thank you cards for all the Wedding Party. I made a few of these cards of for the lil pageboys, ushers and best man. Edwin has been coloured with Copics, the papers are Papermania, bakers twine, the stars and names were cut on my Cricut.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this weather  is going to improve for our street party tomorrow, because at the moment it is lamping it down.  Thanks for popping by my lil oasis.  Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Hiya Bloggers...remember me ????

OMGolly gosh.......where has all these months gone......can't believe it's been the best part of a year since I last posted on my poor lil blog, not sure if anyone is reading this, but if your wondering where I've been, it's just that LIFE got in the way, together with work, kids, the house etc, something had to give and me being on the computer was that something. That's not to say that I haven't been crafting, infact quite the opposite. I've been really busy with making Wedding Stationery, I've got three Weddings on the go at the mo, which is great, I've also got loads of photos of cards on my camera, which I need to upload to PC, crop and watermark, then try to figure out how to use Blogger's new system......cor blimey, that was a bit of a shock when I logged onto Blogger and saw that everything was different.... why o why do they do silly things like that, I'm no good at technology at the best of times, takes me ages to get used to things then they go and blimming change things...drives me potty.......LOL :-).

We are all keeping well, the big news in our household is that my son Ryan and his girlfriend Samantha are 26 weeks pregnant, baby due around 10th September, a lil boy they're having. That was a shocker I can tell you,I am no where near ready to be a Nanna yet...but hey there you go.  They had a 3D/4D scan on Tuesday....how freaky that was to see him wriggle around, we could even see that he has his Dad's lil button nose...oh bless..

Anyway I hope all my lovely blogging buddies are ok, and that you've got a fun Bank Holiday planned.  We're having our street party on Monday ,should be a really good day. Whatever your plans are, enjoy yourselves. I am going to try and figure out how upload some pics to this much neglected Oasis...

Luv 'n' crafty hugs to you all
xx vicki xx

P.S. edited to say that I figured out how to upload a scan photo of our lil Grandson
