Hey Gill-Friend!

Hey everyone! I thought that I would participate in this weeks Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge and I posted the inspiration photo below. I'm also trying my hand a trying out for their Sparks DT Call :) I decided to use the Surf and Turf set because I have been dying to ink it up :D

I both water coloured the seagull and paper pieced him with bits of scraps for the pop of orange in his beak to mimic the inspiration image. I notice that my designer papers are looking a little green in the photos but I assure you that they are lovely shades of turquoise in real life to match the blue monochromatic theme of the poster and I used 2 sentiments from the set as well in the upper corner of the card to touch on the typography aspect :)

Card Recipe:

Stamps: Paper Smooches - Surf and Turf
Paper: Gina K, Black, My Mind's Eye, Water Colour
Ink: Versafine Onxy Black, Antique Linen, Bermuda Bay
Accessories: Sewing Machine, Cuttlebug, Clear Embossing Folders, SU Circle Punches, Tombow Dual Brush Pens, Chalk Pencil, Glossy Accents, Water Brush, Twine, Button, Pop Dots, Xyron

SC379 - Let's Shell-ebrate!

Hi everyone! I was so excited to receive my order from Paper Smooches the other day that I ripped open the package and promptly water coloured up this sweet little turtle from the Party Posse set. I then got side tracked and put it away for a week and a half. Then yesterday I was tearing into my papers looking for a specific one for an upcoming card that I was in the process of creating and took these ones out that didn't make the cut for that particular project...so they were of course still on my craft desk today.

Where does that leave me today you might ask? It left me with the perfect papers and image for an impromptu card for this week's SC379 Sketch Challenge over at Splitcoast :)

The turtle was both water coloured with tombows and paper pieced with some scraps using my handy dandy xyron :) Man, I love that little machine for paper piecing!

Thanks for coming by today and I hope to see you back here on Friday for my iSpy Sketches card :D Have a great week everyone!

ISSC06 - Squirrel!

Hey Everyone! I'm back today with another iSpy Sketches Challenge card for the ISSC06 challenge that is from Patter Cross (identicaltriplets @ SCS) and is based on this card. This sketch was a blast to do but I did get a little carried away with the size of my main panel so I had to flip the sketch in order for it to look more proportionate.

This little cutie is the most recent FREE Digi from Paper Smooches. It's heartbreaking for me to admit this but I don't actually own any of these babies yet....and I do mean yet ;) They most certainly are on my wish list :D

Thanks for coming by today and be sure to check out what the rest of the Secret Agents have for you to see :)

SC375 - It's Vegtastic!

Hi everyone! I had some time to play in my craft room tonight so I thought that I would play along with both this month's Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge and this week's sketch challenge SC375 over at Splitcoaststamers :)

The sweet carrot has been water coloured with Tombows and shaded with chalks and then cut out. I have to admit that I did struggle a bit with trying to keep with the sketch because, I wanted to water colour ALL of the veggies from the Vegtastic set and go crazy by sticking them all over the card therefore nullifying it from the challenge ;) I can't help myself...these stamps are just so darn fun to colour!

Card Recipe:

Stamps: Paper Smooches - Vegtastic
Paper: Water Colour, Gina K, MME Fiddlesticks and Stella Rose
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black, Vintage Photo, Baja, Teal
Accessories: Sewing Machine, Clear Embossing Powder, Cuttlebug and Embossing Folders, Spellbinders, Buttons, Tombow Dual Brush Pens, Chalk Pencil, Water Brush, Buttons, Twine, Brads, Paper Piercer, Mat Pack, Corner Chomper

ISSC05 - What are you lookin' at?

This crazy little chick from Paper Smooches just makes me giggle! :) It's Friday and time for another iSpy Sketch Challenge (ISSC05) and this week the sketch is inspired by this card from DJ Rants.

DJ's card had quite a few layers to it so this card is quite heavy! When I was in the US 2 weeks ago I was able to borrow some stamps to play with and Laurel let me play with some of her Paper Smooches stamps and this little chick was one of them :) I water coloured, chalked and glossy accented him and then sponged in the back drop and added some prisma grass a` la Paula Williamson :)

Thanks for swinging by today and don't forget to pop on over and see what the rest of the Special Agents have in store for you ;)
