Teared Paper Technique with Chalk Colours

Hi Friends !!
Today i am sharing my favourite colouring medium technique (chalk colours) with teared paper technique. I have made these cards in the past using these colours- Ombre Card, Stencil Card, Post it Note. I find these colours easy to use, produces great blend & gradient of colours and cost effective too.You can use this technique with any type of colours. I took the pictures of the whole process after completing it..hehehe.( i am a lazy girl ). But i am sure you will get the technique.
P.S. - Picture Heavy Post
I am using these Chalk colours manufactured by Camel in India. These colours does not comes with an applicator, so i am using cotton balls or ear buds for smaller areas.

Take a waste piece of cardstock or any paper , but it should not be too thin. Place it on your card where you want apply colours, in this fashion.

Now take a cotton ball and rub it on the desired colour -

Apply this colour on the cardstock in between the teared paper -

In the similar fashion, take another cotton ball and apply second colour. You can use any number of colours. I have used only two colours - green and orange

Keep the teared paper in place and do some stamping

You can apply the same technique on different areas of your cardstock. So here is my finished card using this technique .I have used chalks in three different areas of the card.

For this card i have also made 2 punched flower embellishments and attached pins in them. A closer look at them -

Recycled Chocolate Box

Hi everyone !!
How r u doing ?? Enjoying rain ??Well i am here to share a recycled choclate box which i actually made for my cousin's ring ceremony, held on 10th of this august. It was on 9th morning she asked me to make a ring box and at such a short notice i thought of recyling an old heart shaped chocolate box. This shape was apt for the occassion. This was the box that i decided to recycle -
 P.S.- Picture Heavy Post

I transformed it into this ring box. I removed the sticker from lid and golden chocolate container from the box.

For the lid i have used iris folding , blings and pink frilled ribbon to decorate it.

This is how it looks when it is opened. There is a small box in the center. I have stucked a heart shaped ring box in the center which was there in my stash for ages. This box actually contains the ring. The remaining space in the outer box is filled with white foam roses.

The inner box on openinig it's lid-

A closer look to both the boxes. The love tape used on sides of small box went well with the theme. I got it in candy from Ujjwal.

Box without ring -

It's not all done. I have also embellished a plate to stuck the ring box. This plate is covered with pink shimmer paper and embellished with lace and pink frilled ribbon.

I stucked the box in the center of the plate. The remaiing space is left for keeping fresh rose petals.

My First Explosion Box

Hello Everyone !! Life was so busy here last few days...busy in crafting, gift packaging n making preparations for my cousin's engagement. So I wasn't able to post my recent work.I am so exicted to share my first explosion box. Recently I have seen superb explosion boxes in blogworld and could'nt resist to make one. Actually my cousin wanted to gift her fiance something diffferent and handmade. So i made this box exclusively on her request. I was completely inspired by the explosion box queen Karuna.
P.S. -Picture Heavy Post

This is the front view of the box. I have choosen pastel colours for pp n cardstock as my cousin's fiance like pastel shades more. The outer box measures 11" *11".

All the four sides of the box are same. I didn't use any embellishments on outer walls as i wanted to highlight this beautiful DCWV paper.

This is the top of the box. Due to shortage of time, i used locally bought paper flower.

So here's the box after opening. Love those white hearts that pops out on opening the box.

This is the first layer. I took the pics before adhering all the layers together.

Every part of the layer one has a sentiment..

This is the center part and my favourite one. The central heart is made from small pink roses about 50-60. It took a lot of time to stuck these roses together in heart shape. I have added the initials of the couple in the center of the heart and the love birds on the roses. Love this part !!

Second layer is made to write customized text on tags. The message on the tags is according to the sentiments written in first layer.

I have stuck mini heart stickers on every tag -

This is the last layer with the pics

Another top view-

So all this was done in 4-5 days. But i think it will easier n faster for me to make my next explosion box.The receiver also loved this !!
