Bloom Planter

Hi everybody! This week is Bloom Time on the Prima blog featuring the floral stencils of the Bloom Collection

Jamie asked us to think outside the box for this one and what happened? I saw a box... seriously.  My local chocolate shop had this handsome wooden box for their fruit arrangements on display.  I asked the owner if I could purchase the box and she agreed.  You see I had in my brain this concept that I could forge metal to my will, well the stencil's will and so I set my sights on embossing metal and this is the result a gorgeous planter you can feel proud to give mama on Mother's Day!

Bloom Girl Post Tatoo Couture

Hi! I'm still pinching myself, blown away by the chance to be part of the Bloom Girls amazing team of talented ladies!

This week Prima is showcasing the Floral stamp and I'm guilty of calling all the stamps my faves

 but hey they are! So I'm using the floral with one of the girls.   I have had in my brain this idea, ever since I first saw Lacie, of working a lace dress with her tattoo.

Ago I married the love of my life, so happy still, as in 1995...Digging through my stash I found the perfect paper to commemorate my Anniversary with, a vintage paper circa 2007.  Yes you read it right 2007, I confess I am a paper collector, sometimes a paper is just to precious for me to use, LOL.
Since the watercolor trend is so HOT right now I decided to bring it out and sat down to paint as a child would: happy and content!

 so, are you like me, a Prima Paper Protector? Humm PPP yep that's what I'm working with their new palette!

CSI 151 Love    

1. Hi everybody and Happy New Year,  a Major case open last night over at CSI, we are kicking off the New Year with brand new cases for you to play!
   We also have a brand new sketch by Em, here's the way I solved my case
   
   

For my scheme I used all colors.
For my evidence I used pleated paper and tulle, pom pom trim, sprinkle something (I went with sequins)
For my testimony I handwrote my journaling

Leave Ordinary Behind, CSI145

Hi everybody! Glad to be back, I have been very busy designing classes to teach and thus have actively neglected my blogging to say the least. 

So unto some work, I have done this weeks case for CSI, it's such a beautiful inspiration you may not want to miss this one, a bit of mixed media, stamps and such wonderful details to put into evidence, like floral patterns, wings, polka dots...

there is a shimmery effect in the top half of my page in aqua but after photographing in the sun I can't barely see it...

wings as my evidence, it suits my baby girl so well

a letter for her who is so far out from ordinary, don't you just love this quote from one of Tim Holtz, stamp sets!

 



CSI 134 Happy

 I am loooving this month, the colors are just right up my alley!!! and my color scheme is all there! 

For my evidence I chose the sun and some stitching

for my testimony I chose and outdoor activity

in it I talk about how I knew the minute she discovered the underwater world of snorkeling she would be hooked!

Nothing beats seeing a real aquarium next to you, the coral and all those tropical fishes together is out of this world great.  This particular day we encountered among blue and yellow tangs a school of calamari they were purple with turquoise shimmery turquoise on top, we were in awe and almost crying because we didn't bring the camera.  Anyway it's a memory she will have forever!

I don't mean to make you dizzy but I used the bubbles to write my journaling!
