*closed* My Three Year Giveaway featuring a-england

Hello all of you, and firstly I will apologise immensely for my absence, I have been a busy little bee and had a lot going on so the blog unfortunately fell by the wayside.  However, I am back with a little bit of a bang....

My little blog turned three at the start of August and I had arranged a little giveaway with the always lovely and generous Adina of a-england.  She has so kindly agreed to donate 4 of her stunning polishes to the winner of my birthday giveaway, and even more exciting that the winner will get to pick the 4!!

Now if you aren't already familiar with a-england you really should be - in my humble opinion - so this is a great chance to try them out...... or if you have been lusting after some to add to your collection but not managed to get them yet, here you go...or if you already own them all, get some back ups! Ha!

For anyone who doesn't know about a-england Adina started up the company a good few years ago now with the explosive first collection, The Mythicals.  She has continued to wow with further collections - The Legend, Gothic Beauties, Burne-Jones Dream, Ballerina and the stand alone collection Heavenly Quotes. As part of the initial collection she also launched the Knight and Shield which are the only top and base coat I will use now since I got them a few years ago.

The image above just goes to show the little details that go into making a-england more than just  your average brand.  Each collection has its own little logo (apart from the Ballerina collection just now it seems) and I always find them so pretty on the site I decided to make a little group picture with them around the a-england logo.

Now in total, across all of these collections, there are 43 polishes....45 if you include the top and base.  And I am lucky enough to have all of these in pride of place as part of my polish collection.  I have shown all of there on the blog, some many times, but I decided to help you choose (and to show them all off again) I would have a little swatchathon.

So without further ado, here are all of the a-england polishes.....  Just so I don't have to keep saying it, every swatch is 2 coats of the polish without a top or base coat.  I love the way a-englands apply, just like butter and always look flawless!  I won't list all the descriptions, just the names, but you can head to the a-england site for some more information on any of these.

In order (the same as they are on the site) we have:

Starting with the Mythicals - King Arthur, Excalibur, Excalibur Renaissance and Merlin.

Morgan Le Fay, Iseult, Guinevere and Elaine.

Lady of the Lake, Tristam, Lancelot and Camelot.

Avalon, Perceval, Galahad and Holy Grail (new edition)

Holy Grail (limited edition).  Then onto the Legends - Saint George, Dragon and Princess Sabra (Tristam Eyes)

Order of the Garter, Princess Tears, Ascalon and Bridal Veil

And then the Gothic Beauties - Dorian Gray, Ophelia, Tess D'Ubervilles and Lady of Shalott

Jane Eyre.  And then the Burne-Jones Dreams - Briar Rose (Sleeping Beauty), Rose Bower and Briarwood

Sleeping Palace, Fated Prince.  Now the Heavenly Quotes - Hurt No Living Thing and Love Is Enough.

And the Moonbeams...., She Walks in Beauty, Beauty Never Fails.  And Lastly the Ballerinas - Fonteyn

Her Rose Adagio, Encore Margot and Dancing with Nureyev.

Whew!!!  Now thanks for sticking though that and I hope you liked what you seen.  Hopefully I helped your decision and didn't make it more difficult ha!

Now for the giveaway part.....  it is open internationally, should be live from now!!! and will run for the next week.  Please use the Rafflecopter widget below to enter.

Good luck and thank you all so much as always and I hope you stick around after the giveaway is over ;)

Lady of Shalott has the same black base, but this time with a bluey purple shimmer.

Here is 1 coat of the Knight, 2 of Lady and 1 of the Shield.

Lady of Shalott is the a-england Gem of the Month so I figured what a great time to show it off.

a-england Jane Eyre

I have for you today the penultimate polish from the a-england Gothic Beauties collection, Jane Eyre which is inspired by the book of the same name by Charlotte Bronte.  Jane Eyre has the same black base as the other Beauties but this time with a reddy brown shimmer.

I have chosen today especially to share this polish with you as I was lucky enough to spend the weekend in London and finally meet some amazing people I have been talking to for a while, one of these people being the wonderful Adina of a-england.  Thank you again for this Adina and I will be sure to visit you again if you'll allow me.

So here is 1 coat of the Knight, 2 of Jane and 1 of the Shield.

I am in love with this whole collection, and am sad there is only one more to show you.

a-englands can be purchased from the official site or from Llarowe.

a-england Dorian Gray

I have you for you all today another of the a-england Gothic Beauties, Dorian Gray. which is inspired by The Picture of Dorian Grey by Oscar Wilde.

Instead of being a black with a shimmer like the others in this collection, Dorian is a pewter or gunmetal coloured shimmer.

Here is 1 coat of the Knight, 2 of Dorian Gray and 1 of the Shield.

I loved wearing this one, and it was actually the one that got the most compliments when wearing it.

Adina has done it again for sure with the Gothic Beauties collection!

You can purchase previous collections from the a-england site and email Adina on hello@a-england.co.uk if you wish to order the Gothic Beauties.  Or you can order on Llarowe.

a-england Tess D'Ubervilles

I have for you today another of the stunning Gothic Beauties.

This one is Tess D'Ubervilles and is inspired by the book of the same name written by Thomas Hardy.

Tess has a blackened base with a green shimmer.

Here is 1 coat of the Knight, 2 of Tess and 1 of the Shield.

a-englands can be purchased from the official site or from Llarowe at the time of writing this the Gothic Beauties are not available on either site, so to order email Adina - hello@a-england.co.uk

a-england Ophelia

I have for you today the first of the Gothic Beauties, Ophelia, named for the tragic character in the William Shakespeare play, Hamlet.

As with most of the a-englands application was smooth and effortless and if you could probably get away with 1 coat.  Ophelia has a blackened base with a purple shimmer.

But here is 1 coat of the Knight, 2 of Ophelia and 1 of the Shield.

I love this polish, and the inspiration behind it, but I also love that when I hear the name it reminds me of one of my favourite artists, Emilie Autumn who has an album called Opheliac.

She is maybe not to everyones taste but I love her, for her music and her writing and her presence.  But anyway, thats just a little incite into me......

a-englands can be purchased from the official site  or from Llarowe at the time of writing this the Gothic Beauties are not available on either site, so to order email Adina - hello@a-england.co.uk

a-england Gothic Beauties Collection

Today I have for you all something I am so excited to share.

Anyone who knows me or this blog knows of my love affair with a-england, and the newest collection Gothic Beauties is no exception.

This collection was born with the classic a-england Camelot in mind, which in my opinion is the perfect black and one of my all time favourite polishes.

The Gothic Beauties is a collection of 5 secretly shimmering polishes and each one is inspired by a classic piece of English literature.

Here are a few group shots and also individual shots of each shade in the bottle, of course you will be seeing all of them in their full beauty soon.

In order we have Ophelia, Lady of Shalott, Dorian Gray, Tess D'Ubervilles and Jane Eyre.

Ophelia

Lady of Shalott

Dorian Gray

Tess D'Ubervilles

Jane Eyre

You can click on these pictures to make them bigger to see the pretties in more detail and my thanks go to Adina for bringing us yet another stunning collection.

You can order at the moment by emailing hello@a-england.co.uk but these will hopefully be on the a-england site and Llarowe soon.  You can also still pick up The Mythicals and the Legends from the a-england site or Llarowe too.

Thanks for looking <3
