Time flies especially July when my family came over to visit and for my Graduation...
3rd July: Met them in Metro Station, just sleep and eat, trying to recover from long hours flight, it took almost 28 hours to meet me here.
The first week here is quite relax, we went to
Bridges,Sunderland which is the one and only shopping mall in Sunderland...
Metro Centre and Ikea, mom was very happy and excited to see all those beautiful home decor things, it was such a shame that we not able to bring them back to Malaysia, the interior design of Ikea was truly practical yet stylish. We also made a trip to
Dalton Park, an outlet, dad purchased a lot of chocolates and biscuits from Marks and Spenser; while mom and sis bought few Radley handbags and purses. It was on Sales and we had additional 20% off too.... :) We had great time over there :D
I brought them to
Newcastle for a day tour, had Sushi lunch and just shops around.
Initially they were complaint about the weather is too cold, while i think the summer for this year is actually quite nice. :D dad didn't bring thick clothes because i told him the summer weather for this year is good. he blamed me for that. lol. so he bought few sweater from Blue Inc while we at Dalton Park.
Dad favourite shop here in UK are Ladbroke,William Hill and Coral... All the betting shops for horses, football etc. He really enjoyed his time there... and what can i say? just let him had his own ''Happy hour'' there..haha...
8-9 July we went to
Bristol,Bath and Stonehenge.
We took the earliest Metro on 6.10 am to Newcastle Airport, and 9.30 flight to Bristol. Then took a cab to Bath hotel, dropped the luggage and we went out to Bath City.
We went to
Bath Spa, had audio guided tour ( we given a phone-like equipment and we can choose the language on the audio guide, when we saw a notice board with numbers, we can key-in the number and there is a special audio to introduce the places/ art pieces we saw) I feel it was really great for tourists, because i can choose to know more about the places/things which i am interested... All tourist places should use this if possible... :D
We visited
Bath Abbey,a church with remarkable architecture.
Tried some C
aramel Fudge at the local shop, it was delicioooous! but too sweet... a bit is enough for me. can't eat the whole pieces...
My sis and I went up to
Royal Crescent, totally impressed with the design, the weather was really great and we took a lot of photos...
9 July : Went out for
Stonehenge Morning Half Day Tours with Scapers Tours.the whole tours took 4 hours- 2 hours on the bus and 2 hours in Stonehenge.
I met Chiawli and Natasha & familys. All co-incidence booked the same day tour with same company :D
It was a happy outings, to see the amazing Stonehenge, one of the 7 wonders of the world. except for dad commented he was forced to join the trip with us and see the stupid stone (which took over 1000 years to build)...Lol.my dad was too funny.
...to be continued....
