Good afternoon everyone
Bit of a gloomy day today, popped out to meet my mum and had a coffee, although in my case it was a skinny hot chocolate and a raspberry and white chocolate muffin! Yes I know, what is the point having the hot chocolate skinny if I'm eating full fat muffin, in my mind its healthier!!
Now I promise, promise i will get back to doing some cards, but I did a couple more boxes, these are Christmas presents so I do need to get ahead. These boxes were only £1.60 each and I covered both boxes with one piece of 12 x 12 paper - Bo Bunny Winter Joy Snow Angels, so the cost isnt high at all.
I painted with Eco Green Crafts acrylic paint in Lilac. I then painted on some Cosmic Shimmer in Silver as I wanted a hint of shimmer and not just a flat colour. I then covered in the Bo Bunny paper. I made the flowers with the scraps of paper and I used some die cut flower shapes from Paper Artsy. These were one of the things I bought at the Craft Barn yesterday and I think they are going to be very handy.
Do you think these boxes look ok? I'm looking at them thinking they look home made and cheap??
Hope you are having a great Sunday afternoon. Might get started on a card soon!
Take care

Box of Delights
Hello my friends
I hope you are all having a great Saturday. The sun has been shining here which is lovely. I've had a nice day. I drove up the motorway to visit the Craft Barn, which is a lovely craft shop in Lingfield, Surrey. I had a nice lunch in a tea shop nearby. It was very nice and relaxing. I couldn't help but notice the beautiful autumn colours of the trees as I was driving along, they were so beautiful.
I've not made a card today. I've decided to make some gift boxes, or tinket boxes as Christmas gifts for some people. I did my first one today! I think I will keep this one as its the first and kind of a test run! What do you think?
I edged the all the paper with Olive Pastel Chalk inkpad and the pink diamantes on the top are from Ladybug Crafts, and they are so pretty I almost couldnt use them! I will have to order some more of those pretty quickly!
I really enjoyed doing this and I bought some more little boxes today from the Craft Barn to start decorating, so you may be seeing some more of these, I hope you dont mind!!? I will get back to the cardmaking soon though as I need to get some more Christmas cards done!
I am entering this into the following challenges:

The plain box is from Kaiser Craft and is the Small Trinket Box. I painted the edges with antique white Kaisercolour paint. The paper I used was My Minds Eye "Quite Contrary" paper, just one 12 x 12 sheet of paper was used. (I covered the bottom of the inside with it as well.) The little flowers and leaves I made using the scraps and added some glitter to the edges.

Lots of cupcakes!
Good morning all,
I hope you have had a good week, nearly the weekend!!
I have something a little different today. I have made a mini book which I will use as a birthday card. It took a while to do but I like it. The mini book is made from 1 sheet of 12 x 12 double sided paper and I used a paper from Best Creation.
I wanted to use the Ladybug Crafts Cupcake Cuties stamps. I stamped all four and some extras with just the cupcakes, coloured with promarkers and cut out and used each one on a different page of the book. The cuties are glittered and glossy accented to within an nice of her life! I have also managed to get some fluffy stuff and used it on ALL the cupcakes, love it!!
I used sentiment stamps from Wild Rose Studio. I am going to put a couple of photos in the card and will also put the recipients name on the front of the card.
It was very tricky to photgraph but its a three page book which opens both ways. And there is a stamp on each page!
Hope you like it. Am entering into the following challenges:

I used some free papers from a recent magazine and lots of glitter, promarkers and glossy accents! Its nothing too fancy, was doing it quite late and the brain had stopped working!

Update
Hi Ladies
Thanks so much to those who commented on my last couple of posts about my projects done on the Rosemary Merry Craft Retreat. I've taken them off for the time being as I remembered that they are running the same retreat in November and I don't want to spoil it for those people who are going. Will post them in mid November!
Sorry about that! Your comments were fantastic though so thank you again.
If you are interested the retreats are run by Crab Apple Crafts which is Rosemary's shop in Cheshire. They are organising next year's ones already.

Wags N Whiskers
Hi All
Its soooo cold!! Although the sun is shining where I am so at least that is something! How are you all? Are you impressed with how many cards I made over the weekend! This must be by 3rd or 4th post this week!! Will be back to my normal one next week though!
I've done a card with my new stamp that I won from Wags N Whiskers. I had fun doing this as the image is great and I followed a sketch which I really liked.
I used some paper from Paper Adventure which I've had for AGES and had forgotten I had them. I really like the papers so will be buying some more I think. They were perfect for the green and purple challenge.
I should say thanks to Mary J for her tip on photos! I am now set up on Picasa and its great. Soooo much easier! Thanks Mary!

Chocolate Treat
Hi Everyone
I'm feeling sorry for myself today. Have had a bad sore throat and bad head for a couple of days, not been able to sleep at all either. Have had to take today off work as not feeling right at all :-( Am snuggled up on the sofa with a blanket over me and drinking lots of water!
Anyway, enough about that. I bought some digi stamps from the Digi Stamp Boutique recently - Zoe Collection and I've used one of those images in my card today. They are great fun!
I used some glitter card to matt and layer. It went everywhere! I've had the card for some time and not used it before, its very busy! But I thought it was fun and good colours!
I will be entering into the following challenges:

Shopping Trip!
Hi Everyone
I hope you are enjoying your Sunday, and that you enjoyed your Saturday night. What did we think of Strictly and X Factor then??!! Aiden was a big disappointment. I loved Rebecca and Matt.
The fabulous Mary J posted a card a month or so ago using Rubber Romance stamps. I had not seen these before and fell in love with them immediately. Had to buy me some!! I've made this card below using Melanie and Paris Shopping District.
Is anyone else really loving Downton Abbey on ITV1? Looking forward to watching that later.
Take care everyone

I've cut out Melanie and decoupaged her up to the side. I have used glossy accents on her bags. I wasn't sure how to colour the sky, in the end i coloured some blue around the clouds, does this look right? What do you think? I've used promarkers to colour in and some kanban card (again!).

Christmas Nikki
Hi Everybody
Hope you are all well? I just love Saturday's. Its a great chilling out day, met mum for a coffee earlier, well in my case a skinny hot chocolate, did a bit of crafting. Now its time for Strictly and then X Factor, chocolate and red wine! And then a nice lie in tomorrow! Lovely!
Thanks for your lovely comments on the cupcake card in my last post. I wasn't at all happy with the topper so I pulled that bit off and re-did it! I won't post it again but I am much happier with it!
Did another Christmas card today, I really must up my Christmas card production! Its my new Nikki stamp from the fantastic Kerry and Ladybug Crafts.
My photography is really bad, my cards really do look a lot better in real life! If anyone wants to send me any tips on how to take a good photo that would be great!!
There is a LOT of glitter on this card, although you probably can't see it that well. Just used some Kanban paper and promarkers to colour. The sentiment in the corner says "have a sparkling christmas".

Cupcakes
Hi All
Well, what a frustrating day I have had. I popped out this morning which I thought would only be a couple of hours just to do some bits and bobs, I was all the morning and a lot of the afternoon. I wanted to upgrade my mobile phone as the last one had died. I was in there over 2 hours and even then they couldnt transfer all my numbers across so I had to go home, do it myself and then go back. Nearly got a parking ticket earlier in the day, then couldnt find a parking space the second time. Then, I was so fed up after my trauma in there I forgot to get half the stuff I went out for the in the first place. By then it was 4pm and I just gave up. ARRGGHHH.
The good thing though was that my new Ladybug stamps were waiting for me on my doorstep when I got home! I've only just got around to trying one out, I didnt think I would be able to get to do a card today. Mind you its nearly 1am so probably should have let it until tomorrow!!
I love my new little stamp but I am a bit upset about the cupcakes. I used some glossy accents and then throw on some real sprinkles. I think they have made it look mesy :-( . I also tried some faux stitching on this card (Lisa - I had a go!). Well, it took me ages! It would have been quicker for me to go out and buy a sewing machine! I used a sukura pen for the stiching. Does it look anything at all like stitching?? Advice and comments gratefully received! I dont even think you can see it from my photos anyway! I did make some big holes but you can't seem them as it is layered onto another piece of paper! Also is there a tool out there that makes the whole process quicker??!!

I have waffled on a bit, sorry about that. Really must think about heading to bed.

Art Deco Lady
Hi Everyone
I hope your week is going ok. Its really dragging for me. Feels like it should be Friday already.
I was just playing around at the weekend with some card which I thought had a very Art Deco feel about it and I wanted to make something with it. I had a stamp which, again, had an Art Deco feel about it so I had a play. I wasn't sure where I was going with the card so I thought I would keep it fairly basic, "less is more" theory! I really love the Art Deco era so I had fun with this. I hope you like it.
I'm afraid I don't know where the stamp is from, I've had it some time. Paper is Kanban.
I am going to enter this into:
Enjoy the rest of your day.

Another Christmas Card
Hi Everyone
Back to work :-( not a happy bunny today. Oh well, need to earn money for the next holiday, and more crafty stash. I managed to make a few more cards the weekend (another one coming tomorrow). This one I used a stamp which I used a couple of months ago but haven't used it since and I quite like the stamp.
Sorry about all the photos! It's difficult to photograph an easel card! I used some Kanban papers and card which all coordinate together. I used Promarkers - Cinnamon, Terracotta, Tan, Blush, Poppy, Cobalt Blue, True Blue, Arctic Blue, Ice Grey 1.
I hope you like it. I am entering into the following challenges:

Birthday Cupcake
Hi All, happy Sunday!
I hope you are all having a relaxing weekend. I've not done too much this weekend which is nice after such a hectic week in Florence. I'm feeling guilty today as I had a real craving last night for chocolate, so I dashed out to my nearby shop and bought 2 packs of giant chocolate buttons (yes 2 packs). I haven't eaten all of them I hasten to add but I made a good start! So I happily munched away on those whilst watching Strictly Come Dancing and X Factor. Who says I dont have an exciting life!!
I've made a card today for a colleague in work whose favourite colours are black, red and white. She is also not really a girly, girl but I had to add a ribbon and some glitter. The ribbon wasn't meant to be there but it is hiding a slight mistake!!

I've used a digi image from Digi Stamp Boutique - Zoe Collection. Also some papers from Kanban and promarkers in Poppy, Blush and Black. With a little star dust stickles for the icing. I'm going to add some glossy accents to the bow round the cake as well.

Purple Christmas
Hi Everyone
Well am back from Florence, had a fabulous time. A fantastic city with so much to see. I think I could quite happily live in Italy, went to Rome last year with the same group of friends and we had such a great time. So much culture not forgetting the great food and Chianti!
Back to horrible rainy UK and work on Monday :-( Couldn't really get going on making a card yesterday, but managed to get one done today. I bought a new Wild Rose Studio stamp the other week so wanted to use her.
Her hair looks really yellow in the photos but its not that bad in real life! I've used some kanban papers, promarkers - Arctic Blue, Amethyst, Meadow Green, Gold, Canary, Blush, Ice Grey 1. Lots of glitter on her scarf and coat!
I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Stampavie and More - More than one fold
Creative Inspirations - Christmas in September
Truly Scrumptious - Sketch (& snowflakes)
Totally Papercrafts Challenge - The Great Outdoors
Creative Cottage - Bling it On
Charisma Cardz Challenge - Christmas Crafting
I hope you are all ok and enjoying the weekend despite the weather.
Love
