Digital Delights Week at 365 Cards

Yay - another sponsored week at 365 Cards! I'm afraid I was late in photographing and posting this picture because I spent all day yesterday at a craft fair in Portland selling my cards. So here I am sharing my card for this week's sketch using this darling mermaid image from Digital Delights:

Papers are Basic Grey and Scenic Route. Cardstock stickers are BG and the flower is Sassafras. I colored the rest of the image with Copics, and the sentiment is computer-generated. Come on over and join us this week - you just may win a prize :)

Sweet and Simple

I'm channeling my inner Sophie from the 365 Cards DT - I love her Clean & Simple style, and I really wanted to stick to the sketch this week. So here's what I came up with:

I could not think of any clever design for this, beyond the design of the sketch. I just got this PTI patterned paper along with some white cardstock in the mail last week. I also got a fabulous stamp set that I plan on playing with this week.
Come on over to 365 Cards and play along!

A Sketch and a Blog Hop

And so begins another week at 365 Card...

Here is my card for this week's sketch:

I love working with the color red, but I thought there was almost too much, so I popped in a little bit of blue in the button. The blossom is a piece of chipboard that I colored with a red Copic marker. The background was created with a stamped image (Stampin' Up).
I really wasn't sure about this one when I first started, but I'm pleased with the end result.
Starting tomorrow, we'll have a week-long blog hop that you won't want to miss. 365 Cards has joined with several other fabulous challenge sites to bring you this blog hop with lots of fun and wonderful prizes. So check back at 365 Cards for all the details!

Some Bunny Loves You...

Happy, Happy Easter!

I am waiting up to hide eggs for my girlies to find in the morning, so I thought I would post while I wait.

Here is the sketch for today at 365 Cards:

And my card:

I made one for each of my sweet girls to go with their Easter baskets. I'm hoping for just a little sunshine to break through the clouds tomorrow....

Sunday Sketch at 365 Cards

Here's the Sunday Sketch this week at 365 Cards:

And my card:

It's so funny, because the cards that are the simplest in design seem to take the longest to create! This card took me a couple of hours - lots of fussy gluing with these Cricut floral elements from the Tink cart. The stitching didn't take quite as long, but having to poke little holes to guide the stitching takes time. I'm really pleased with this one - thanks for stopping by!

String Art at 365 Cards

I'm glad I got the chance to share a card for today's challenge at 365 Cards, because I've always wanted to try this on a card.
It was definitely a learning experience for me, and I like how it turned out, but I think I could do a better job now that I have the idea.
Here's my card:

It ends up looking Clean & Simple, and yet it was quite a lot of work. I used little brads to help me with positioning. The design is an imitation of a curve-stitch design that I found here. I sort of guessed my way through it. What's nice is that by the time I was done, I felt that any additional embellishement would just detract from the string art, so I just added a sentiment and I was done.

Thanks for looking!
