Merry Christmas

Thursday, November 29, 2007

Hey mum, dad, ummmm, kinda stuck here......could use a little help.....the camera...what the? Can you please stop laughing put the camera down and get me out of here? I mean it....I'm really mad...... If I ever get out of here there will be no more cute performances of "itsy bitsy spider" or the "Pledge of Alliegance". No? That's it...you are officially cut off....... OHHH....the humiliation.

Emme loves the just back from the hairdresser feeling as illustrated by the cheesy binkie grin. She is feeling fresh and fabulous and doesn't mind a bit that her hairdresser was a kitchen knife wielding three year old, who cannot cut a strait line on paper, merrily snipping away precariously close to vital body parts. Nope, She didn't mind a bit.

This is one Hot Mama. Kelti is the real superhero of the Palmer family whatever she might say to the contrary--so don't let her fool you! Ben and Emme say, "Mommy rocks hardcore" so take their word for it. I think she's pretty much the best too.

Benny sure misses his "grandma" and "grandma."

Benny's worst nightmare finally occurred. I've never seen a little boy more devastated and for those who have seen Benny's "sad" face you truly know what I mean. Yes Lightening McQueen fell in the toilet. Yes, Ben was in the process of using the toilet, and, yes it wasn't the type of toilet visit that could be done standing up. Like any stalwart mother I closed my eyes, plunged in (no pun intended) and retrieved Benny's best friend. Was it awful? Yep Was it totally worth the look of adoration and love on Benny's face when I presented a totally sanitized and safe lightening McQqueen. Yep...well almost.

Our Little Lady

Joy school has been such a growing experience for Benny. I already see a major difference in his attention span, a blessing considering he moves up to primary this December. May heaven help us all! I will often hear him singing Joy school songs, " we never hit, or kick or push...." and he loves to burst into the pledge of alliegiance which sounds more like, " I pwedge awegience to the flag of anated states of anemaerica and to the wepuglic for it stands, one mation, under God, indiwisable for liberty and wustice for wall!"

Ok.....Serious Palmer family debate about who exactly can jump the highest. (Long story that began the first day we met when I totally schooled him in a game of ultimate frisbee.) So anyways we decided to let the camera judge and I think this time he wins.

Benny is a potty master!

I'm IT :Seven Random Things About Kelti.
1) I have 85% fast twitch muscle and 15% slow twitch. Most people are 50/50. So lets say if I were being chased down a dark alley I could dash away pretty quick but if he chased for longer than a minute I would be toast.
2) Books are my candy and I want a sugar rush!
3) On the ACT I scored in the 98th percentile for reading comprehension and in the 60th for grammar. Spell check anyone?
4) I actually take pleasure in organizing yet I despise picking up to keep it organized. My mother says this started at an early age. I will organize......then ignore the task until the job is substantial enough to again warrant my attention. It's not a great system...I don't recommend it.
5) Personality tests are fascinating to me. And if their are any fellow junkies out there I am a blue/red, words of affirmation INFP.
6) The first time I went to a yoga class my friend and I kept bursting into laughing fits. The teacher actually asked us to stop. It was just so weird.... now I want to be a yoga teacher and I fear that karma will send me a student as impolite as I was!
7)My dream is to be a writer.

I tag Erin, Brit, and Katie S. ( this means you have to stop looking at blogs and finally start your own)

Thank you to my beautiful cousins who always make me feel at home and loved. We had a ball.

Sunday, July 01, 2007

Snow White and Mickey had a wonderful time at Disneyland and would like to thank Grandpa and Grandma for all the fun. The other day I asked Benny if he wanted to go to the pool or the park. He grinned at me and said... No mommy I wanna go to Disneyland.

Emme's Birthday..... and to celebrate we strapped her in a car seat for six hours. She was such a little trooper, hardly fussed and was all smiles when we stoped for gas.

I'm so glad when Daddy come home (or meets us at the bay area discovery musuem)

Glad as glad can be!

Clap my hands, and shout for joy and climb up on his knee.

Put my arms around his neck and hug him tight like this.

Pat his cheek and give him what? A great big kiss.

oh the innocent joy of children!

Our delicate princess.

Melts my heart every time.

So ummmm... this is about as far as we have come in the exciting world of potty training. Don't worry folks trust me the seat hasn't been used even once.

Emme said her first word. It was ball..... hmmm. Palmer's this might be your socceer player.

Guess which child was supposed to fall asleep? Let's just say that Emme is cheering over her defeat of her mother's nap time regime, whle Ben decided that a nap and a ten 'o'clock Bed time fit better into his schedule for the day. Regardless of the mixup I was happy to be outside and running!

Guess who started the toaster on fire??? Our little curious George thought it would be fun to see what happens when you toast formula powder (don't try this at home. trust me it doesn't turn out well). I awoke to the sound of the fire alarm and dashed downstairs. I didn't have my contacts in but it was hard to miss the flames leaping towards my son as he sat mesmerized and screaming, " fire engine mom. " Disaster averted thanks to our smoke detectors. My mom ( mother of seven) says that she runs around all day stomping out fire's. Well Mom, now I think I understand what you mean.
P.S Please observe what Ben has on his pajamas.
